The Manager, Human Resources originates and leads human resources practices and objectives that will provide a performance culture that emphasis empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment and development of a superior workforce.
The Manager, Human Resources coordinates the implementation of people-related services, policies, procedures, programs and advises management on human resource issues. The Manager, Human Resources reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the President.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, you will be responsible for performing a dual role both as HR Coordinator and Executive Assistant.
• As HR Coordinator, you will support the on-going initiatives in the HR department, supporting and maintaining projects and conducting tasks related to: orientation, training, performance management, engagement, employee communications, policy development, succession planning, performance appraisals, recruitment, employee safety, and other HR initiatives as required.

Position Description:
• Assist in the development and execution of marketing programs and advertising initiatives
• Books trade shows and events and coordinates plans with National Trade Show Manager.
• Act as the day-to-day contact person for many of our current vendors (agency, printers, designers etc.)

The successful candidate shall possess:
• Post-Secondary education in Marketing Certificate Program
• 3-5 years administrative experience augmented with marketing experience with direct marketing campaigns would be an asset
• Microsoft Office -- advanced Word Procession skills, with graphics and page layout, mail merges. Excel for generating spreadsheets and reports. PowerPoint, for creating corporate presentations. Some familiarity with Access is useful
• Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team environment
• High level of initiative, flexibility and creativity
• An eye for detail
• Ability to multitask and preserve the high quality of deliverables
• Easily adaptable to change of focus throughout the day

Preliminary Screening
HR Department will review applications and assess skills and experience. Only those who meet the minimum requirements advance to the telephone interview process. We carefully review all applications submitted and make sure that no stones are left unturned. This preliminary screening may take 1-2 weeks and only those candidates short-listed will be contacted. Interviews and Assessments
Those who pass the preliminary screening will then be scheduled for interview with the VP HR and the Hiring Manager. This may be a one on one interview or a panel interview.
Only those who pass this process will be elevated to the Final Interview and may undergo assessment tests.
Reference Checks
After a successful series of interviews, one will be asked to provide references from previous supervisors or managers. You also may be asked to provide documentation of your training and/or education. We contact your references to better understand your background and confirm a fit to the available position and to the company in general.
