As promised I am writing you a follow up letter sharing our experience regarding the purchase and installation of our new Interlock Roof.

Long before we received your introductory mailing my wife and I had already had our minds set on eventually installing an Interlock Roof. Our reasoning was simple. We only wanted to install one more roof in our lifetime, and we were very interested in the looks, durability and warranty of your product.

As an experienced service and installation manager myself, I am very familiar with the fact that many jobs have their surprises, and sometimes despite planning things go wrong. What really matters is how those instances are dealt with. As in our case, the first day the crew did not arrive until several hours later than expected due to issues back at the warehouse. The Customer Service Manager I believe, Miranda was very apologetic and did try to explain as well as got back to me with status on their expected arrival.

The late arrival was quickly put behind us as upon arrival your crew without walking around or discussion divided and began what was a dynamic, organized and efficient process of setting up and beginning installation like nothing we or our neighbors have ever seen. In just a few hours they had stripped two layers of roofing off the house and garage, did some repair work, papered the roof and had half the garage and the front half of the main roof complete.

On day two they completed the install and did an incredible job of cleaning up. This included every member of the crew walking my property to insure not one nail was left to step on, or cause tire damage. Our second surprise or problem was detected after their departure which was related to the fact that the back half of our roof had to be done in neoprene and the drip edge was not only different but was white instead of black causing our roof to look incomplete. I believe we both learned something that day. Your company for the future will be able to point this out up front and offer to paint the the edging in advance of the installation. In our case you had a man here the next day and he painted the drip edge to match the front half of the house and shingles. We also had two separate follow up visits from your quality control people to inspect the job for proper install and completion.

In summary we are very pleased with our roof and the diligence of your hard working professional crew. We without a doubt have the best looking roof in the neighborhood, bar none.

Dear Gerry,

I am writing to tell you how much my wife and I are satisfied with our new roof from Interlock.  Our old asphalt shingles were showing the effects of time both aesthetically and functionally.  Most noticeably was the water mark on the living room ceiling that just kept growing with each passing rain.  We certainly weren’t looking forward to buying a new roof, since we were still paying for our wedding six months before, but knew we had to do something soon.  I mentioned to Dawn that I had heard metal roofs were becoming popular because of how long they last; but she was concerned our home would look like a fast food restaurant, a factory, or even worse a tin roof barn.  She made it clear that a modern looking metal roof would ruin the look of our 1860s vintage home.  I said I thought I had seen a couple of years ago a house that was done with what I thought the sign said was metal but looked like shingles instead of ridged sheets she pictured.  The problem was I couldn’t remember the name of the roofer was – just that they had an orange sign.

A friend of our mentioned there was a Home Show coming up in Worchester and we figured it would be fun to look around and dream about improvements we could make.  As we walked the aisles, I saw your familiar orange sign and product display booth.  I said to Dawn look at this!  This looks really nice – it looks just like slate!  Wouldn’t that look really great on our house!  Two weeks later, you explained what made Interlock different from other materials and the lifetime warranty helped us feel confident in making what was for us a major purchase decision.  Although an Interlock roof my cost more initially, we think it is well worth it knowing we will never have to buy another roof for this home again.

Your company and crews are great!  A representative called to let us know materials were being delivered and when they arrived they were neatly stored out of the way until the work began.  A supervisor called to let us know when the work would begin, and except for two days of rain which delayed their start, the job was completed within the estimated three days.  At the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves and when the job was competed they raked up any pieces that may have been missed in the grass.  The completed roof looks great and enhances the appearance of our home.  We have had many people stop and compliment us on it and at least one had already installed an Interlock roof of their own.

Should we ever move from this home in the future, one of the features we will look for is an Interlock roof or plan on upgrading to one in our new home as well.

No more problems with moss and lichens, like I had with the asphalt shingles.  I am extremely happy with my new Interlock Roofing System and to think it has a lifetime warrantee.  There have been several rainstorms that last couple of weeks and to me the metal roof had added no additional noise at all.  The flat-roof is also a welcomed addition.  The material quality is tip-notch throughout.  A flat roof will normally wear out first; however, this also comes with a lifetime warrantee.  I have been impressed with Interlock from my first awareness at the local home show.  I also did investigation through the Better Business Bureau.  During all interaction with Interlock, employees have been professional and courteous.

The sales presentations were very informative.  I was also able to visit half dozen houses locally that had had Interlock Roofing Systems installed.  The benefits of the Interlock roof over an asphalt roof are numerous.  In these days of rising energy costs and the high price of fuel, the expected energy savings are welcome.  I will also be able to take advantage of the energy credit on my taxes this year.  The fact that the roofing material deflects the heat versus absorbing it will make the house cooler during the summer months.

Working with the installation team of Finn and Alex was a delight.  The attention they gave to making sure things were done right was greatly appreciated.  From the moment they arrived in the morning, till they went home at night, they were constantly working.  During the installation period, there were several rainstorms.  Alex and Finn always made sure they had things buttoned up before the storm started.  We were lucky enough to get a couple of good days and they took advantage of them by working between 10 and 11 hours those days.  If I saw anything that I did not like, it was quickly addressed or the explanation was given why it had to be done that way.  The answer was always acceptable to me.  They took the time to help me understand the various installation tasks.  The longevity of Finn and Alex’s careers with Interlock are testimony to Interlock as a company, their product knowledge and experience levels, and work quality.

I would highly recommend Interlock Industries roofs to others.

I’m writing to thank you and your team of installers for a job well done.  The size of the job was 30 squares.  The crew completed it in three days and in 30 degree weather.  Not only does my roof look awesome but the installation team had meet and exceed my expectations for customer satisfaction.

I signed the contract with Interlock on November 4 and the installation began on December 4.  One day after the first snowfall of the season.  The installation crew (of 4 men) went to work removing the snow from the roof before starting the task of installing the Interlock system over my existing asphalt roof.  The existing asphalt roof was original to the house and was only 14 years old.  Several years earlier, it had started to show signs of curling and was now beginning to disintegrate leaving black stains on the lower trim boards and grit on the steps.

The team arrived at 7:30am and promptly got to work.  They worked well into the evening (5:30pm).  They rarely took breaks.  They worked like bees in a hive with everyone knowing his job.

It was dark by the time they left and as I mentioned earlier, they had to shovel the snow off the roof, which in turn went on to the ground piling up in front of the garage doors and the other doorways.  Prior to leaving the site for the evening the crew did a quick clean up of the area, including shoveling out the entrance ways and the garage doors.  Needless to say, I was impressed with the attention to these simple customer focus details.

Since completion we have had several major snow storms in a short period of time.  On the news, people were worried about ice dams and the possibility of roofs collapsing from the weight of the snow.  My neighbors took out their snow rakes to prevent potential problems; however, I didn’t need to take such action as the snow just slid off my roof.

Many of my neighbors have commented on how nice the house looks with the new roof.  One neighbor noticed that my house did not have now on it when all the other houses in the neighborhood did.  He was so impressed with the Interlock Roofing System that he and his brother in-law came to look at it after discussing it at Christmas dinner.

To quote from TS Eliot, “Home is where one starts from.” And our home needed a kick to start it again!

We built our home 12 years ago, but our roof was already showing real signs that we needed to replace it, as the shingles where curling, slipping out of place and although not causing leaks at the time it surely would have. The way our home is situated on our lot, it gets total New England weather. There is also “a lot” of roof in the front, so we needed it to look incredible as well.

We had looked into Interlock a year prior, but with children and careers, sometimes if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! But a year later we knew that our roof was the first project on our list to get attention. We got in touch with Interlock, and that is the best decision we have made!

Our initial visit with Dan was pleasant, not pressure packed to purchase on the spot, as we had done our research. The cost to re-roof with asphalt shingles at this time, plus the possibility of having to do another 12-15 years versus the price presented to us go with Interlock AND NEVER ROOF AGAIN was well within our budget! We decided that meeting to go with Interlock.

We received updates on our order process at each step, from the order being received to when the order was being shipped. The kept us informed and provided excellent customer service.

Our roofing system went on ahead of schedule and the installers were excellent! Nick and Serge were pleasant, extremely hard workers and cleaned up the site each night! They were a pleasure to have around!

Our home is beautiful, again! We have a company to back up our roofing system and feel that going with Interlock was the best decision we have made!

Just a note to let you know about the pleasant experience we had when your contractor came and installed our new Interlock roof on September 6 and 7. The group of young men who installed the roof seemed very experienced and had the roof installed in a reasonable amount of time. They acted professionally and were courteous. They cleaned up all nails and other debris that fell when they were roofing. It was a good experience for us as homeowners.

As an aside, and not as a criticism, I just want to suggest that the contractor may want to contact the homeowner a few days ahead of the day they would like to install the roof. Mr. Plesnik called us September 5th at 4:30pm to say he would be there the next morning to start the work, It worked out fine for us, but I'm sure it may be a problem for others,

We love the look of our roof and get lots of compliments on it. We can hardly wait until the snow flies, to see the difference that this new roof will make.

I wanted to let you know how happy my wife and I are with our new Interlock roof and the quality of the installation work. The installers present­ ed themselves in a very professional manner. They took great pride in their job and worked on our home as if it was their own. At the end of the day, they always cleaned up after themselves and never inconvenienced my family. They truly were a wonderful crew!

The roof looks fantastic. It is much sharper and cleaner looking than our old roof. Since it was completed we have had several hard rainstorms. The roof performed very well. One of our initial concerns was if rain hitting this new roof would be louder than our old. On those stormy nights our fears where quickly put to rest. There was no difference in sound compared to our old roof. Then, the night before Thanksgiving, we had a snow storm. Thanksgiving Day was nice and sunny and our house was the only one with no snow on the roof.

The Interlock roof is, by far, the best home improvement project I have undertaken, It is wonderful knowing I will never have to worry about my roof again. Thanks for the great product and service.

This letter is in regards to our recent purchase and installation of an Interlock Roofing System at our home on 7 Shingle Island Lane in North Dartmouth . We experienced a failing asphalt roof after only 14 years! After a bit of research on the internet, we investigated and decided on an Interlock Roofing System.

Our salesman Michael Furman was outstanding. He was friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, very professional and answered all our questions pertaining to the materials and its installation. He assured us that our concerns on certain roof areas of our Log Home would be addressed and appropriate materials would be used. He was right!

We have a beautiful new green Interlock roof that looks amazing with the dark stained logs! Alex and his crew did an outstanding job during the entire installation, and especially paid attention to the details that we were initially concerned with. The crew was hard working, courteous, and always professional. They were very patient in answering ALL our questions about the installation and challenging areas around the Log dormers and multiple skylights. They worked long days showing much tolerance and patience despite all the rain, cold and wind March/early April threw at them! They made sure at each days end to clean thoroughly and secure the work site before leaving.

Our neighbors have commented on what a great looking roof it is, and the great job the installers did as well. We've even had people drive down our street from the main road upon seeing the roof, to comment on its outstanding look. Many of them have been following the progress since its start.

We are so pleased with the final results! It is a very attractive, "rich" looking roof and makes our Log Home look once again like it was just built! We do highly recommend your product and your company to anyone who is considering a new roof. We are looking forward to a future without facing roof replacement again!

We are writing to let you know how much we like our new roof. It was an adventure to say the least. It all started on the 5th of July. They came to start to take off the old roof. Then as they started a big swarm of BEES come out of our roof. The guys came down like firemen coming down the pole. We had to get a bee guy to take care of that problem. He said that there were about 400,000 bees in our roof. First great advantage no more bees with this roof. After this side track they got back to work and because of the bee incident they worked Saturday and Sunday. The work went along without problems the rest of the way. David and his crew did a great job. They were very polite and efficient with all aspects of what they had to deal with. From the bee problem to three layers of old shingles to remove and that had to be the hottest week of the summer. “Thanks a lot guys”. We have had the roof on for a good three weeks and the traffic in from of our house crawls by, in cars and on foot. If I am outside they always ask if it is slate or tile. They are very surprised when I say it is lightweight aluminum.

We are very glad we went the root of the Interlock Roofing System. We have a white house with hunter green shutters so we went with the hunter green roof. It is very beautiful and I know it will be the last roof I will have to put on this house. We may not have the biggest or best house in our neighborhood but our roof is the best looking and longest lasting for miles around.

Incredibly best describes our new Interlock roof, and lots of compliments from everyone who stops to admire this roof. The aged copper color is beautiful, especially in the morning sun and again in the late afternoon evening sun set. There is a big difference in the overall temperature of the entire house cooler, especially the upstairs areas on these sunny hot summer days.

The installer Alex, was an expert at detailing this Interlock roofing system. The complete roof came out picture perfect with virtually no mess.

Our only concern with the aluminum roof was noise from heavy rain storms. Well after five storms to date, one with small hail, there was NO NOISE. This aluminum roofing system is truly state of the art high tech material and design. Definitely impressive but well worth it with it's plus advantages over conventional asphalt and fiberglass design materials.

Our neighbors with their new conventional shingle roofs are eye opening proof that this Interlock Aluminum system is truly the best, complete with a lifetime warranty, owner transferable certificate. Nobody else in our neighborhood has a 50 year roof warranty certificate.

We recently had your Interlock Roofing System installed on our home. It has now been about 3 months since the roof was installed. We receive many compliments on how beautiful the roof looks. Your installers were polite, fast, cleaned up the area daily and did a full clean up after the job was completed.

My wife and I discussed installing a metal roofing system because of the many advantages of a metal roofing system. We did not want a system like the ones everyone sees on old barns, (straight panels). We were looking for an attractive looking system that would add curb appeal to our home.

We decided to go to one of the local home shows to see what types of roofing systems were available. That's when we found your company. I had seen various style metal roofs on home TV shows, but none of them matched the interlocking panel system like yours.

The shingles not only interlock with each other but they are also nailed into the roof deck for a good solid roofing system.

I work at a local College as the Manager of Building Services. I am responsible for maintenance of many difference types of buildings and roofs. I have seen the amount of damage caused by water, snow, ice and wind. So when deciding what type of roof we should install on the largest investment anyone purchases in their lifetime (a house), we decided to invest in a metal roof which we will never have to worry about again.

The advantages of the metal roof are easy to understand and see. This past Fall I began soliciting bids for stripping off two layers of shingles on my 23-year old shingle family home and replacing the "worn" shingles with a new layer of fiberglass shingle. You may ask, since the home was "only" 23 years old, why there was already two layers of shingles and how come the top layer was now in need of replacement! Believe me, I was asking the same questions. Granted, we had not paid (directly) for either layer of shingle since they both were on the home when we purchased it, but it was still a concern of mine with respect to the fiberglass shingle industry.

My wife and I have owned this home for nine years and, when we initially moved in, we had the home vinyl-sided and replaced most of the windows with energy efficient, up-and-down windows as opposed to the then crank-out windows. The then existing roof shingles had excellent curl-appeal when viewed against the newly installed vinyl siding and window shutters, so much so that passersby thought we had the roof re-shingled as well.

So, in our search for new shingle, we sought out a shingle that would have that same curb appeal as well as longevity. Well, we could not find anything that came close to providing us with the idea that, "Yeah, this one will look great on our home and last a long time."

This Spring I responded to a newspaper advertisement I'd seen and a mailing that I received regarding the installation of a metal roof. Certainly, installation of a metal roof in our "neck of the woods," where there is some pricey real estate, was something of an oddity. However, I did some research on metal roofs over the Internet and found myself intrigued and please by what I read.

I had an interlock roof put on my house recently. I am pleased with it. The color of the roof matches my house nicely. Your employees did a good job of cleaning up the debris, especially considering the fact (hat one half of my existing roof had to be stripped of its existing two layers of asphalt shingles I would recommend this roof to ethers for these reasons and also for the following reasons:

When I bought my house over 4 years ago it was 10 years old and had an asphalt roof, The home inspector who looked at the house noticed that a few of the shingles were lifting and that there were some gaps in the chimney flashing that he said were consistent with normal wear and tear over the years. When I hired a contractor to make repairs I was surprised to learn from him that many of the asphalt shingles were cracked and that one half of the roof would need to be re-shingled, My mother and I have since heard from several sources that during the 1930s there were problems with bad batches of asphalt roofing shingles being manufactured,

Earlier this year I had a minor roof leak in the half of the roof that was not re-shingled. The contractor who repaired it said that this half of the roof would probably last 3 or 4 more years, I've heard that an asphalt roof could last for 20 years but this was not the case with my house,

I clearly wanted a roof that would last a good long time and wanted an alternative to asphalt shingles. I chose interlock primarily because it is guaranteed for the life of the house. I also like Interlock for other reasons as well.

The aluminum shingles interlock with each other on all sides. This prevents the shingles from lifting over time a problem that I had with the previous asphalt roof on my house,

I've heard that Interlock roofs are more energy efficient than other roofs. Energy efficiency is important to me and should be to everyone in this day and age and in the future to come.

Finally, another reason that I like interlock roofing is for safety reasons While installing any roof on a house involves unavoidable safety risks to the roofing installers, because of Interlocks lifetime guarantee no one should have to go up on the roof again once it is installed. During the life of a house this reduces the amount of time that the safety of individuals who work on the roof of the house is at risk. With asphalt roofing on a house that requires replacing ever the years of the house's fife there is increased risk of a roofing installer working on the roof of that house getting hurt,

This is to give you feedback on our recent Interlock roof installation. The installation including stripping the old roofing went very well and cleaned up was as I had expected. This is and old house with dormers and even since I have lived here (since 1956) it has had various leak problems that were never solved with new asphalt shingle jobs.
Within a week of completion of the Interlock Roof we had a 4” heavy wet snow storm and two 2” wind driven rains. Everything is dry. Also we get lots of comments from passersby about how nice the roof looks.

You can consider me satisfied.

For me the change to a metal roof is something I have thought about for some time as I have had nothing but problems with new asphault put on ten years ago. Ice dams and leaks have been a problem from the beginning of which I thought taking off the gutter would help.
Next was to pay to have a three foot, piece of aluminum put in along the length of the roof, result, snow dams above the aluminum strip.

The next thing to try was electric wires, which were somewhat successful, but meant taking down and putting up yearly.

At the age of 54, to be on a ladder dealing with wires and ice dams is okay, but how about 64 or 74. Some new way to roof had to be the answer. In New Hampshire where my brother and I have a summer place, a new cabin was being built and it had the long metal panels which didn't look to bad but planted. The idea that an option was out there. Interlock was the better choice for a metal type roof and looks better to.
The cost of snow seal and new shingles, stripping off two layers, the cost of recycling in twenty years, led me to see that a non asphault does cost more initially, but how about in the long run? Probably not.

With my new Interlock Roof, time spent on the roof, don't see any need, snow dams, snow slides off. No need for root rake or wires. Loudness in the rain, not noticeable. Appearance, looks great. With this roofing - problem solved, it's on to other needed repairs.

Upon looking at our roof with several consultations from local roofing companies, the consensus was that we had only one to two years left on a roof that was only nine years old. The singles that were installed on our home were prey to the era of bad singles that have been installed on several homes across our development. We recently purchased a new roof for our 30 year old home. The original roof on our home was in poor shape and as I work with many contractors in town, I realized that a new asphalt roof would not last the 30 years that the original roof did.

We were first introduced to Interlock Industries at the home show at Gillette Stadium. From there we were visited at home by a salesman, Michael Yaniv. He explained how the whole process worked and was very helpful in choosing our roof - the one we ended up with was my least favorite but it works wonderfully with our house and we are very pleased with the final look.

Thank you so much for meeting with us to arrange the purchase of a new roof by Interlock. It's gorgeous!

It is so comforting to know that our roof is now safe from leaks and ugliness. We had a few obvious leaks every time it rained or snowed and that hasn't happened since our new roof was completed. We have seen several people "looking" as they walk or drive by and several neighbors have made comments as to how great it looks.

This was a job that we put off for years - and now we're so glad that we have done it!

What a great crew you had - they were polite - they did the work, and they cleaned up beautifully (even better than how they found it - to our pleasure). The roof was delivered as promised - on time! The crew worked long hours to get it completed and although we had bad weather on a few of those days - the work was completed in a week! They never interfered with our own schedule and despite the hammering which comes with any job of this nature - we just knew they were getting the work done as expeditiously as possible - working until the available light made it unsafe to continue for the day.

Thank you - Interlock is a great company with a product that is sure to give us many years of security knowing that our roof will surely outlast us and that we don't have to worry about any future roofing jobs. You were very accommodating and a pleasure to work with!

We have not had one minute of rest since the installation of our Interlock Roof System was finished. Our home is on a busy main road. Friends and people have not stopped complimenting and questioning us about it. The roof is beautiful and eye popping.

On a more practical level we felt we need more than what a regular asphalt roof could offer. The back of our house does not get much sun in the winter. This can and does cause snow and ice accumulation problems when the conditions are right. The results are ice dams and leaking. The rest of the year, it causes moss and lichen to grow. These issues combined with the fact that it was time for a new roof led us to the Interlock system.

While it is still spring time, we feel confident that our Interlock roof will perform as expected. It is a premium roof that offers much more than good looks.

My wife and I met Mike Furman at the Home Show in Foxboro this past winter. I had asked about the system in other years but got so turned off by the sales person, I never stayed to talk. This year was the first time we've seen Mike. We started to talk with him and were readily put at ease. We were so comfortable talking with Mike that we agreed to have him come to our home and really talk business. Mike has a wonderful way of explaining the Interlock system. Not only is he intelligent and professional, but also patient. He never talked down to us or over our heads. He was always neatly dressed but not in a stuffy business suit—someone you could relate to.

The roofing crew led by Bakha, Alex (a great craftsman!) and the rest were a pleasure to deal with. They were very polite and accommodating. They worked some very hard long hours to get the job done. They had to work around New England 's typical weather: sun, rain, hail, snow and wind. The weather delayed them a little but they were soon done with the job. They cleaned up each night before they left so we never had to worry about getting nails in our car tires.

The roof—it's beautiful! It complements the style and design of our house. My wife said that she never really looked at our roof much before but now she stops in the driveway to admire it. Our biggest concern about it being noisy in the rain was taken care. Mike was right—you really don't hear the rain any more than before.

About 4 years ago of friend of mine, George Cayton, of 33 N. Main Street , Berkley , MA , 02779 had gotten a metal roof. He loved it and always talked well about it. He has been answering my questions about it over the years and invited my wife and I to see it before we bought. His is the Interlock system too. Since I've been talking to George for the past four years about your roofing system, I believe he should be given a "finders fee." Thank you.
