ILIL-17-015 Batavia Illinois Metal Roofing

After researching the various metal roof manufacturers and metal roofs in general we chose Interlock

BataviaIllinois

After researching the various metal roof manufacturers and metal roofs in general we chose Interlock. In addition to offering a great selection of styles, Interlock was the only company that installed their own product. I liked being able to deal with one company regardless of the issue.

My wife and I are very happy with our choice and results. The curb appeal has been enhanced and we have gotten the thumbs from our neighbors for the great look. I am happy with the performance of the roof and I have found everything touted about this roof to be true. We had a tremendous thunderstorm come through and a downpour that was second to none. The noise from the rain hitting the roof was quieter than on the old shingle roof. I am eagerly anticipating the summer for the cooling benefit I expect to receive.

Installation of the roof was flawless. The crew was very courteous and hard working. It was obvious they were very skilled and knew what they were doing. They took the time to do it right. I believe they treated my property as if it was their very own. Communication was exceptional and I was kept abreast of what had been and what was going to be done each day. I even received a call from the salesperson following up which was totally unexpected.

I would not hesitate to recommend Interlock to anyone who was looking for a metal roof.

2 years later and our roof still looks brand new, and we love it

Whitecourt, Alberta

For anyone considering purchasing an Interlock Roof:

Please know Dave and I purchased a roof for our home from Interlock in July 2014.

The roof was installed April 2015. The roof is absolutely beautiful, the installers were amazing (our home is an arch rib so is almost all roof) with their agility and ability as they worked and walked on our roof like monkeys.

Everyone from our salesman Derek the office gal Shauna to Janar and his crew was very professional and experienced in their field. Please feel free to show our roof to anyone interested in same. We would highly recommend this product and your installers to anyone we are so very happy we went with Interlock.

This is 2 years later and our roof still looks brand new, and we love it.

We had a small issue of rusty nails in the flashing and an issue with moisture in Feb 2017 with the unusual weather of warmth and cold. Within a day of contacting Interlock Janer was sent to assess and address the matter promptly.

Anyone who visits and sees our roof is impressed with the absolutely beautiful look of it.
We previously had a cedar shingle roof and thought this metal roof might be noisy when it rained but it is quieter than the shingles were.

Thank you Interlock, Derek, Shauna, and Janer and crew for the wonderful Quality and beautiful product; we are proud and grateful to be covered by Interlock.

Colgate Wisconsin USA Aged Copper Interlock Slate Roof

We had a major rainstorm shortly after the installation and we noticed no difference in sound at all

Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems,

The install was terrific. Jessie and his crew were very nice, polite, clean and work together like a well oiled machine. If I was to have work done on my home for any type of project, this is the team I would recommend and would want to work on my house. Greg Weber, my sales representative, answered all my questions, set the proper expectations, and over delivered in every aspect. We had a major rainstorm shortly after the installation and we noticed no difference in sound at all. Our Interlock roof is the talk of the neighborhood.

Discount on the insurance premium

La Grange, Illinois

Dear John,

I wish I had known about the Interlock Roofing System before I put the last new roof on twenty years ago. If I had, I would not have had to replace it again now. At least now I won’t need to worry about the roof ever again because of the lifetime limited warranty with its 50 year transferable and non-prorated features.

When I first suggested to my wife that we consider a metal roof, she was concerned about the noise level during storms. This concern disappeared after the first storm as the noise level was much less that before the metal roof was installed.

Speaking of installation, we were very happy with the way your installation crew did their job. They were careful with our landscaping, cleaned up each day and when they finished and left, the only sign of their having been there was the new roof itself.

The new Interlock roof looks great, and we have been complimented on it by many neighbors as well as people passing by. Our home insurance company was also happy with the new roof and its Class 4 hail impact resistant rating, which will give us a discount on the insurance premium.

We are very satisfied with the entire process of getting a new roof installed. From the initial discussion with the sales representative, the installation crew, and final results, there were no surprises. We will also be very happy twenty years from now when we don’t have to put another roof on the house.

Thank you,
Jerome Sund

Noise of the rain on the aluminum roof is not much different from that of the asphalt shingles

Ottawa, Ontario

Dear Interlock,

My asphalt shingle roof was starting to curl and disintegrate after just ten years. Although I had considered metal the last time around, the cost seemed too high. This experience suddenly made it seem like the better choice.

Barry arrived on June 16 and delivered a wonderful presentation on the merits of Interlock aluminum products, reaffirming much of the information available on the internet. The price quoted was more or less as expected, although he did talk me out of the more expensive shake profile which featured in my plans. The one surprise was that my preferred colour, the aged copper, came at an added cost. It would have been helpful had the website indicated that it commanded a premium price.

The timeline was for installation anywhere from 2 to 7 weeks from signing. Provincial Foreman Tony advised me that the boxes of metal shingles and other materials would be delivered on June 27, but they actually arrived early the following morning.

Kelly headed up the crew who did the actual installation. He kept me advised about timing and let me know when illness delayed their arrival by a few days. They showed up as promised on July 7 and had about half the house done before noon, working very smoothly together as a team, with the underlayment completed. Note that the underlayment comes with its own 50-year warranty and claims that it can cover a roof for up to six months without protection. This may be standard but seems like good quality to me.

Cleanup was very good. The roof was completed on their second day of work, July 11, with a weekend of rain intervening. They also managed to do the entire garage roof (a separate building) the same day. The house roof is 17 squares, with the garage being another 7. Both are hip roof style.

Cleanup was again quite good – I followed around for the final look and didn’t spot anything. However, the next day a closer look around found several strips of the cut asphalt shingles on top of a hedge and in a flower bed (well hidden, in all fairness), along with a few small pieces of cut aluminum which might pose a hazard for some of the younger children who routinely pass through my yard. Yesterday I found two aluminum nails which came to light only after a decent rainfall. Disappointingly, some cut shingles were also left in the gutters which is a much greater problem for an older person, meaning me, to resolve.

Note that the noise of the rain on the aluminum roof is not much different from that of the asphalt shingles. Perhaps a slightly higher pitch, but the insulation in the attic and the fact that the old shingles were left on the roof under the aluminum perhaps helped to make it almost unnoticeable.

Two days was quite a bit less than the estimated five for the installation. No complaints on this front. From signing the contract to completion was less than four weeks, which ranks as excellent service.

Neighbours have been very complimentary about the appearance, with one opining that it’s the best-looking roof in the area.

At the end of the day, my house and garage have great looking roofs which should add value when the house is sold (not anytime soon) and will not require replacement for the remainder of my ownership. Interlock personnel all performed admirably, and I am pleased with the final result.

Thank you.
