Aluminum Roofing

Interlock® Aluminum Roofing Systems

Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, Tile, Standing Seam

All of our aluminum metal roofing systems showcase our total commitment to protect and beautify your home for life and to safeguard the environment. Our roofing systems will provide you with a lifetime of value.

Did you know that most airplanes are made of aluminum?

And in 1994 the Empire State building’s steel window frames had deteriorated. They were replaced with aluminum.

Aluminum is durable, and yet lightweight. Compared to steel, it’s about one-third the weight, and yet … is nearly as strong. It’s one of the most abundant, naturally occurring metals on earth, and it’s also very environmentally friendly.

But let’s talk about aluminum … it makes a very beautiful roof.

We have 5 attractive profiles.

Slate, Shake, Cedar Shingle, Tile, and of course

Standing Seam in aluminum will all make your home that much more beautiful for years to come. It will also protect your home from the elements, extreme weather, and the heat.

We have an exclusive coating system on it, that protects and contributes to its longevity so that we are happy to be able to give you a Lifetime Limited Warranty on every roof.  Yes, a lifetime warranty. But we can talk more about that in a bit.

In the summer, an aluminum roof with our Alunar coating will lower the temperature *inside* your home.

How?

For one, aluminum drops heat very quickly. That’s why it’s used for car radiators, air conditioning units and computer parts.

But also, Interlock is rated as a “Cool Roof”.

What does that mean?

It means that our roofs are tested and rated for both solar-reflectance and thermal-emittance.

For you … what that means is, the majority of UV rays from the sun will reflect away from your roof … and any heat that does get through will easily dissipate because of the nature of aluminum.

Also, in the evening when the sun goes down, your home will cool off that much more quickly.

Customers have told us that during hot summer days, they “can now get things done” because it’s much cooler inside … where they couldn’t before, because it was too hot. And many others have said they have seen a reduction in their air conditioning costs.

Another benefit of aluminum, is that it’s naturally resistant to fire. That’s protection for your family from fires that can spread very quickly to your house another roof.

We’re also “UL-2218 Class 4” rated for hail. That’s testing for hail two inches in diameter.

And when installed properly, we’re rated for 120 mile per hour winds. That’s a Class 2 hurricane.

Oh, and in the winter, snow will slide right off … meaning you won’t have to snow rake your roof any more.

Besides being strong, it’s also easier to work with than steel … so we manufacture all the trims, flashing and starters from the same high quality aluminum … all coated with Alunar. We also match them to the colour you choose.

Your new aluminum roof is very “green” and eco-friendly … made from a sustainable material that will you help end the cycle of roofing material going to landfill.

Your Interlock roof will also save you money, and also reduce energy consumption from your AC working too hard.

In addition, our roofs are solar compatible. We can work with many solar panel manufacturers.

OK, back to our warranty. We are happy to give you a Lifetime Limited non-prorated Warranty on every roof we sell. Good for your lifetime, and if you ever sell your home, it’s transferable and good for 50 years for the next owner.

Environmentally friendly, lowered inside house temperatures, savings on air conditioning costs … all while protecting your home from the elements.

Interlock Slate Metal Roofing Weathered Shingle

Slate

Interlock® Slate

Metal slate shingles - the look of traditional roof tiles.

Traditional slate roofs are very expensive and are also very heavy; in fact, some rafters may need to be reinforced.
With an Interlock® Slate roof you’ll get the longevity and look of natural slate roofing without the weight; greatly reduces weight strain on your home’s structure.

The last roof you will ever need.

Interlock Slate

A very popular choice.

Historically, slate was used as roofing on castles and churches to protect them from the elements, extreme weather, and most importantly … from fire.

It’s very strong and very durable … but it’s also very heavy. That’s because it’s chiseled from real rock to form shingles.

Today, you can still find real slate on homes, but … not that often anymore.

That’s because … although slate can last a long time … it’s expensive, and often a home will have to be structurally reinforced to be able to accommodate the extra weight of real slate.

With our Interlock slate, you get all the same advantages that real slate gives you … protection the elements, from extreme weather, resistance to fire and also durability and longevity … without any extra weight.

People love the look of our slate profile.

Part of the appeal is that it doesn’t look like commercial metal roofing, or it matches a historic look.

In either case, many of our customers have written in to say how good it looks after it’s been installed, and also how many compliments they receive on it as well.

Here’s an advantage in choosing an Interlock Slate roof.

Aluminum. Aluminium is lightweight yet very strong.

At one-third the weight, it’s nearly as strong as steel.

Why would they replace it with aluminum?

The steel had started to let in frost, water and had air leakage.

But overall they replaced it because … aluminum will simply not corrode like steel.

Another benefit? Our aluminum roofs are “Cool Roof” rated.

Aluminum also drops any heat that isn’t reflected away by our coating … very quickly.

People are finding their home is much cooler in the summer after installing one of our roofs, and that they are saving significantly on air conditioning costs.

How about a “green” advantage?

Aluminum is recyclable, and our roofs are made from 95% recycled material.

Giving you a “green” and environmentally responsible roof and also helping stop roofing waste going to landfill.

Another advantage? It’s weather tight.

Thanks to our four way interlocking system, our Interlock Slate gives you protection from extreme rain, snow, wind, and hail.

We’re tested and rated for hail up to 2 inches in diameter, and winds up to 120 miles per hour.

Then there’s our protective coating.

Our Alunar coating is an exclusive multi-layered system.

One of those layers utilizes Teflon, contributing to it’s long life and easy maintenance of your roof.

And you’ll get maximum protection because we coat both sides of the shingle.

Here’s the 2nd best reason to choose Interlock Slate.

Our Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Every one of our roofs is covered by it. It’s non-prorated, which means it won’t decrease in value if you need it.

And it’s transferable if you ever sell your home … and the next owner will get 50 years of coverage. Don’t forget to fill out the paperwork if you do sell your home.

And finally, the best reason to choose and Interlock roof?

You’ll Never Re-Roof Again.

One last mess, one last time-consuming hassle, and one last roof you’ll ever need to purchase. A beautiful new roof that will last your lifetime.

Interlock Slate. Beautiful. Strong. and best of all … Never Re-Roof Again.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cedar Shingle

Interlock® Cedar Shingles

New, unique, affordable, and revolutionary metal roofing, designed to provide the look of cedar shingles without the problems of rot and discoloration.

The Interlock® Cedar Shingle roof is a four way interlocking aluminum roofing system. Each shingle is embossed with a heavy cedar texture, coated with the Alunar® Coating System embedded with TEFLON™ surface protector to provide an extremely durable and attractive surface. Available in your choice of designer colors.

The most distinctive feature of the Interlock® Cedar Shingle roof is its interlocking design. Each shingle has an interlocking edge on all four sides, as well as being nailed to the roof surface.

The last roof you will ever need.

Interlock Cedar Shingle.

The beautiful look of real cedar, but will last much longer.

Historically, cedar was prized by many cultures, and old growth cedar was the considered at one time the ultimate roofing material.

That’s because it was strong, was resistant to insects, humidity, and would last for many years.

But nowadays, it’s all new grown or 2nd growth cedar and isn’t nearly as strong or durable as old growth cedar was cherished for.

But a cedar roof today is still promised to last 30-40 years or more. Some cedar roofing critics predict they will only last 7 to 15 years.

But others who have put a cedar roof on recently, have seen that their beautiful looks started to fade in only about 5 years.

Other drawbacks to real cedar is that it’s also susceptible to moss and rot. Rain and snow can actually get underneath the shingles, helping accelerate any deterioration. Also, you’ll need yearly maintenance to keep it in top shape.

You could be looking at somewhere around five hundred to one thousand dollars every year to maintain a cedar roof.

As well, it’s also very vulnerable to fire.

And, realistically … they’re expensive.

And for a natural resource, they are not as sustainable as you might think. Because, at some point, a cedar roof will have to be replaced.

Our Interlock Cedar will not need to be replaced.

It’s made from aluminum, which is a very sustainable and an environmentally friendly material.

It also looks great … visually rich and beautiful, yet it’s still strong and very lightweight.

But how long will an Interlock roof last?

How about a lifetime?

And that’s guaranteed, thanks to our Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Part of that is thanks to our exclusive Alunar coating that goes on both sides of the shingle. Protecting your roof from UV rays, and from the rain and snow getting underneath, because our cedar shingles certainly won’t absorb any moisture.

Also, every Interlock roof gives you “Cool Roof” benefits. You’ll cool down your home on hot summer days, and lower your air conditioning bills. Also, no more dangerous snow-raking in the winter. Snow slides right off.

It has easy maintenance if you live in a wooded area from things like pine needles or moss.

It also gives you natural protection from fire. You’ll get protection from flying embers, either from a forest fire or another home. We can also make it Class-A fire rated too.

What else…? Well, it comes in many designer colors, and our roofs are solar friendly, compatible with many solar panel manufacturers.

If you’re thinking about Cedar … invest in your home with an Interlock Cedar Shingle. You’ll get all those benefits, and with peace of mind … that this will be the last roof you put on your home.

Interlock Cedar Shingle. Strong, sustainable, solar-friendly and with a Lifetime Limited Warranty.

And best of all Never Re-Roof Again.

embedded with TEFLON™ surface protector to provide an extremely durable and attractive surface.
A complete range of color matching trims are available.

The Interlock® Metal Roofing System comes complete with a 50 Year Transferable, Non-ProRated Lifetime Limited Warranty.

The last roof you will ever need.

Interlock Shake.

Strong shadow lines and a rich, textured look. A very beautiful version of a classic roof.

Historically, local trees, usually cedar, were cut down to get to the strong, inner wood. They were then wedged and split down by hand into thinner pieces.

Cedar Shake made for excellent roofs and gave good protection from heavy winds and rain … hail, snowstorms, and even hurricanes. They also gave energy benefits for heat and insulation … and were eco-friendly.

But overall a Shake roof is not great in damp environments. It’s susceptible to mildew, mold, and rot.

A shake roof also needs to be kept clean of any tree debris such as leaves or branches. And any sap from overhanging trees will encourage mildew. And once rot sets in, you’ll probably need to look at replacing your entire roof.

On top of that, shake shingles are expensive, and expensive to install. They require maintenance some experts day from $500-$1000 a year.

They are also flammable, and people find the looks of their beautiful new roof start to diminish after about only 5 years or so.

And some are finding their roofs starting to decay in as little as 10 years.

But cedar roofs used to last, they could easily last 35 years and up to 50 years. But that is not the case anymore.

Nowadays, trees are grown and cut down quickly to meet demand, which isn’t giving Shake roofs the same strength they once had.

Why?

Age. The trees are too young, and do not have the same strength and durability that came from old-growth trees.

Any Shake roofing you can purchase now are from 2nd growth trees. You can feel the difference in the softness of the wood from 2nd growth or even 3rd growth trees by easily pressing your fingers in to the wood.

On top of that, cedar roofing is not as environmentally sustainable as you might think.

Replantation is happening … but to get a strong tree, it at minimum takes over 100 years for a tree to reach maturity, and some experts would even say 200 years.

So, if you have a roof that used to last … say up to 50 years … but it takes over 100 years to grow or longer? It doesn’t add up as a sustainable practice.

Our Shake shingles look beautiful when installed.

They are interlocked four ways, blending them together visually, resulting in a distinctively rugged and warm pattern.

An Interlock Shake roof, will give you all the benefits of a real shake roof, and more … including protection from extreme weather, protection from fire, all that without the drawbacks … and it will last you a lifetime.

There is no comparison.

Invest in your home with an Interlock aluminum Shake roof, and give yourself peace of mind … with the last roof you will need to put on your home.

Invest in your home with an Interlock aluminum Shake roof, and give yourself peace of mind with an aluminum roof.

Tile

Interlock® Mediterranean Roof Tiles

Inspired by the luxurious look of traditional Mediterranean tile, without the heavy weight.

Interlock® Tile is the last roof you will ever install on your home or development. Interlock® Tile is very lightweight, having a dry or wet weight of 70 Lbs. per 100 sq. ft. This is about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Substantial savings are effected in structural costs for new homes and developments, as truss systems can be designed for less stress and weight loads.

The last roof you will ever need.

Interlock Tile.

Our homage to the old-world beauty of tile roofing.

Tile has been used for thousands of years on roofs, and has been made in a variety of ways, including by hand.

In more recent times, tile roofs are often synonymous with Mission style homes in California, French style country homes, or homes in the Mediterranean. That’s because they are a very attractive roof.

They are durable too. They can last for many years. They’re good in wet climates, won’t rot, and are excellent for ocean side homes, as salt water air has no effect on them.

But real tile has always had its problems.

They are extremely fragile. They’re likely to deteriorate because of frost … or break from tree branches falling on it or heavy hail … or by simply walking on them.

If they do break, your weather protection is no longer there.

And if you need to replace tiles… you have to worry about breaking any adjacent tiles while you’re at it.

Real tile is also really heavy and needs that strong support system.

And many times those support or fasteners will fail well before the tile will.

Our aluminum version will not have any of those problems, but yet, give all those same benefits that real tile roofing will.

But, we give you more benefits … like our “Cool Roof” rating. An Interlock roof will keep your home cooler in the summer and save you on your air conditioning bill.

Our exclusive Alunar coating that protects the surface of your new roof.

With Alunar and our aluminum panels you’ll get resistance to fire, salt water air and extreme weather like hail and wind. And unlike real tile, snow will not accumulate on it.

And our custom starters and flashing to match the look of your beautiful new tile roof.

And you can choose from a variety of colours besides the classic Tile Red colour.

Those are just some of the benefits that every one one of our roofs give you.

Strong, durable, and with a superior fastening system, and no worries about the heavy weight … or cracking. And it comes in many colors.

Oh, did I mention it comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty?

Interlock Tile.

And best of all Never Re-Roof Again.

It doesn’t make sense to keep putting things on your house that you have to tear off and throw away 20 years later.

You know, I would rather spend more money on something that is going to last forever.

Metal Standing Seam Roof made from Aluminum

Standing Seam

Interlock® Standing Seam Roof Panels

Mechanical-Lock design with Hidden Fasteners

Interlock® Standing Seam Metal Roofing is a fully interlocking roof system. Its unique design mechanical-lock design forms a weather-tight unit, and unlike some other types of panel metal roofs, no rivets or screws are exposed on the surface of the panels.

It may be installed on new construction or applied over existing roofs. All trims and caps are designed to ensure an integrated weather-proof roof.

Interlock Standing Seam is composed of panels, which can be manufactured to any pre-determined length. The panels are coated with the Alunar® Coating System embedded with Teflon™ Surface Protector to provide an extremely durable and attractive surface.

The panels are roll formed with a ribbed contour to give added strength. A uniquely designed ridge on each panel provides a secure system of interlocking the panels together.

Interlock Standing Seam weights considerably less than most other types of roofing systems. No special preparation is needed, resulting in less structural cost.

The last roof you will ever need.

Standing seam.

The classic look of metal roofing.

Standing Seam is what comes to mind for many when they think of metal roofing.

It has a very clean look, with dramatic shadow lines from its long panels, and the fact that there are no exposed fasteners or screws on the surface. Many people love this look and are starting to ask for this on their home.

Besides a really great look, standing seam gives you excellent protection from weather, because the long panels reduce exposure points, and because any fasteners or screws are tucked away and hidden.

After the panels are interlocked, our standing seam is then mechanically locked for additional protection from water or moisture getting in between the panels and then through to your home.

If you’re comparing to other metal standing seam providers, here’s a couple of things to remember that make a difference comparing an Interlock roof, to theirs.

For one, besides our mechanical lock … it’s our coating.

Where others may only coat one side, our protective coating goes on both sides of the panels.

Our panels are coated then formed, making sure that any edges or folds of the metal are not exposed, but are protected by the coating. And all of the fasteners are hidden.

Another difference? Aluminum.

Strong, lightweight and very durable. It’s what most airplanes are made of … so it better be strong.

And it is.

Aluminum, along with our coating system, makes our standing seam, “the metal roof” for the coast.

Saltwaterair can corrode other metal roofing, but ours will have the maximum protection from it. Pretty important if you live near the ocean.

Another reason, our flashing and trim.

Our starters are folded and locked.

Our fasteners go on the side, not the top.

And pieces things like ridge caps are actually two pieces for maximum protection.

We are confident that once you compare, you’ll see the difference in the quality of our trim, because they’re made from the same high quality aluminum … and also have our excellent Alunar coating.

And the 2nd best reason to choose our standing seam?

Our Lifetime Limited Warranty.

It’s non-prorated, meaning it will not decrease in value at all.

It’s transferable. If you ever sell your home, the next owner will get 50 years of protection.

Finally, here’s the best reason to choose an Interlock Standing Seam roof.

You’ll Never Re-Roof Again.

Choose Interlock, and this will be the last mess, time-consuming roof you’ll need to worry about. You’ll have a, beautiful, and very strong Standing Seam roof that is warrantied for your lifetime.

The ceramic pigments in our exclusive Alunar® Coating System embedded with Teflon™ Surface Protector help reflect and emit the sun’s Ultraviolet rays. On a sunny day, these UV rays typically penetrate traditional roofing materials and greatly increase the temperature of your homes attic space resulting in higher cooling costs. Metal roofs can conserve energy by reducing cooling costs up to 25%*.

• Reflects solar energy
• Emits solar heat from buildings
• Reduces building cooling expenses
• Mitigates Urban Heat Island Effect

Aluminum made from recycling takes only 8% of the energy to produce rather than using new aluminum.  We use 95% recycled aluminum to make our roofs.
