Our new roof is beautiful! We have received so many compliments and inquiries since our Interlock roof was installed four weeks ago. John delivered on his promise with a quality product and set up the stage for what was to come, answering all our early questions and showing us the information we were looking for to make a confident decision.  He provided us installation pictures of previous jobs, the product <a class="wpil_keyword_link" title="specifications" href="” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked”>specifications, color and type of samples, historical data on product performance and much more.  Dal from customer service responded quickly with dates when material was arriving and dates for the installation.  After some concerns about having to travel for work and being out of town, Al communicated well and they worked around my travel schedule and my family appreciated this greatly.

The roof is not any louder during several of the storms we have had already, than before. Despite a few outside temperatures reaching the 80s and sunny, the inside of the house has stayed cool without needing to turn on the AC or ceiling fans. It really is a new experience to <a class="wpil_keyword_link" title="walk" href="” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked”>walk into our second level rooms and not have it feel warmer than the lower level.

The installation crew did a great job. They told us everything they were doing and answered all of our questions. The fire department even stopped by during installation to ask what it was! The crew completed the job in 4 days, working over the weekend to finish before the next storm. They left the yard clean every night, and they cleared out the gutters from all of the debris.  After watching the team install the new roof safely, we have come to appreciate the craftsmanship that comes with installing this <a href="”>type of roof.  The crews are proud of the product and their care shows in the installation.  Putting on this new roof requires a lot of skill, a lot of hours, and experience that I think new owners won’t realize until observing them and going through it.  Minimal waste scraps, efficiently making thousands of measurements and metal shaping to perfectly fit all the corners and bends is a testament to the experience our crew lead by Jesse and Sal had.

It has been slightly more than one week since the installation was completed and I thought I would offer the following:

Noise

Since completion, we have had two rainstorms, a four-inch snowfall, and minute heavy hailstorm. The only annoying <a href="”>noise experienced (…think of a loud combo of cymbals & snare drums) was during the hailstorm. However, I am sure that with standard shingles, the amplitude would have been the same, only at a lower frequency (i.e. a bowling alley and/or Niagara Falls).

Installation

Juan & Alex did an excellent job exercising care around existing installations (i.e. new plantings, aerials, wiring … ) and worked diligently even during the 50mph windy/gusty Wednesday. Upon completion, clean-up was very well done … not perfect, but better than I’ve seen in the last 20 years. Jesse also did well with coordination and follow-up.

Satisfaction

I’m impressed with the materials & engineering involved in your roofing system. The interlocking method provides good rigidity & hopefully good liquid seepage resistance, while the individual shingle size should allow proper thermal expansion/contraction to prevent <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="” title=”Buckling” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked” data-wpil-monitor-id=”6129″>buckling. Visually, I’m completely satisfied. Performance-wise, ask me again in one year after everything has gone through a complete spring-summer-fall-winter cycle, thus establishing the credibility of your advertising propaganda.

Pine needles and more pine needles along with fir boughs each season covers our roof all throughout the year. We are consistently getting on the roof to blow off the needles and clean off the fir boughs. Though the job of cleaning off the roof does not take more than 3 – 4 hours, we were looking for a better way and an easier solution to our situation.

Our neighbor was in the process of getting a new roof put on; it was <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="” title=”British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked” data-wpil-monitor-id=”6134″>Interlock Roofing Systems. We asked many questions regarding their roof and the options available. Their finished roof looked great. The <a href="”>metal roof in the slate shingles option looked really good. They were very pleased with their roof, the installers, and the installation process.

Our sales representatives, Mike and Ross, explained the advantages of a <a href="”>metal roof, the benefits of Interlock Roofing and the installation process, answered all our questions and assured us that we’d be very pleased purchasing an Interlock Roof.

Peter and Victor, our installers were personable, explaining their process. We had a couple of snow and ice days prior to our scheduled date, so they had to work hard to clean off and prepare the roof. They worked very diligently in the cold and some days in the heavy rain. Our <a href="”>roof took a few extra days waiting for additional materials to arrive. When it was all done, February 1, 2017, our Interlock <a href="”>Slate shingle roof looked great. We are pleased and are looking forward to years of our beautiful featured addition to our home.

We had a <a href="”>metal roof already, but we wanted a nicer looking metal roof that didn’t stand out in the neighborhood.  After seeing the Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems at the <a href="”>Home Improvement Show, we set up an appointment.  I had already checked them out on their website, so it wasn’t whether or not we were going to do the roof, rather what <a href="”>style and <a href="”>color did we want.

Interlock kept us up to date on when they would be out here.

The installers arrived in December 2016 and in two days we had a new roof.  They were the most polite workers that we have ever had at the house.  They showed us the <a href="”>material they that lay down before the roof goes on it was a very thick underlayment.

No wonder our house is 5 degrees warmer and the heater doesn’t come on as much as it did before.  They did an excellent job of clean up.  You could not even tell that we had anything done outside.

A few weeks after the roof was installed Glenn Boss and his boss showed up in person to make sure that everything was right and see if we had any questions.  You do not see this level of service anywhere.

This year here in the Pacific Northwest we have gotten a record amount of rain.  With our old metal roof, it would have been really <a href="”>loud, but with the Interlock Roofing System, we can barely hear it. The only way that we knew it is raining is if we hear it hit the windows or we look outside and see it coming down.

We just love our new roof!  The house looks so much nicer than it did before with our other <a href="”>metal roof.  And we are really enjoying how much warmer our home is now.

No more climbing around on the roof!

In the NW any roof is going to grow moss; except a metal roof. I tried zinc strips, moss killer, laundry soap, and I went up on my steep roof once or twice a year with a steel brush and a pressure washer, but it was a never-ending battle, and I wanted to retire! One neighbor’s new roof started growing moss after two years.

Another neighbor pays to have his cleaned and treated every year. Now I can look back at the problem and smile. Also, leaves and snow just slide off, and squirrels and raccoons can’t damage it. The ridge vent system is pretty cool too.

All the representatives from Interlock Roofs were impressive! The salesman was helpful, the area supervisor was amazing, and the installation crew battled with snow and ice to get the roof done with hardly a trace after the clean up (there were some small asphalt pieces hidden under the snow). They also did an excellent job of prepping the edges for the new gutters and even installed the new <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="” title=”The Ultimate Guide to Solar Power Generation for Your Home” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked” data-wpil-monitor-id=”1748″>solar tube cap and bathroom vent, so those jobs went smoothly. The weather conditions had an impact on the schedule, but the office staff stayed in touch, so we always knew what to expect. Some questions arose between the time we contracted the job and the start, and the supervisor was here within a couple of days to answer them all.

Everyone we dealt with throughout the project was outstanding. I doubt we will have any issues with the roof, but there is a 50-year transferable <a class="wpil_keyword_link" title="warranty" href="” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked”>warranty and a great team to back it up if any problems arise.

Is a <a href="”>metal tile roof more expensive? Look at the balance sheet: one roof verses four or five, an increased property value, a beautiful self-cleaning roof, more time in your life, and peace of mind or at least one less thing to worry about.

We had the Interlock Metal Roof in Tudor Brown <a title="Cedar Shingle" href="”>Cedar Shingle installed in August of 2016. We researched several options regarding roof replacement and decided to go with your company. It was the best decision we ever made.

I really like the roof I have on my house.  It really stands out as a nice roof in my modest neighborhood.  I went with Interlock because the company uses the thickest gauge aluminum, has one of the best roof warranties, easy to maintain, is lead-free for future rainwater collection, and offered standing seam for my solar array installation.

One of they guys started eating a weed that was growing in my yard which I had been trying to identify for months.  He told me the name and it was in one of my favored plant species, sorrel!  What serendipity!  To top it off, when I notified them that the natural gas guy inspected my venting and said to change it, the repairman came down and fixed it for me.  No charge no hassles!  I sure hope that my next 50 years with Interlock are as smooth as the first!

I wish I had known about the Interlock Roofing System before I put the last new roof on twenty years ago. If I had, I would not have had to replace it again now. At least now I won’t need to worry about the roof ever again because of the <a href="”>lifetime limited warranty with its 50 year transferable and non-prorated features.

When I first suggested to my wife that we consider a metal roof, she was concerned about the <a href="”>noise level during storms. This concern disappeared after the first storm as the noise level was much less than before the <a href="”>metal roof was installed.

Speaking of installation, we were very happy with the way your installation crew did their job. They were careful with our landscaping, cleaned up each day and when they finished and left, the only sign of their having been there was the new roof itself.

The new Interlock roof looks great, and we have been complimented on it by many neighbors as well as people passing by. To the Interlock Corporation, What can you say about a home improvement experience such as replacing the roof on your house?

From the first contact to the completion of the project it was the most enjoyable experience a person can have when dealing with a large commercial company. From the initial non-high pressure, very informative sales contact from a Home and Garden show to the friendly, efficient and respectful installers to the final personal contact to make sure we were satisfied with the results and that we were enjoying our new roof.

The application and quality of the materials are beyond expectations. We have been enjoying the roof through the winter winds and rain and <a class="wpil_keyword_link" title="hail" href="” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked”>hail of the Pacific Northwest. Everyone asks if it is noisy and tinny when it rains. We reply “of <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="” title=”Collar” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked” data-wpil-monitor-id=”27636″>course not! “ It is even quieter than the comp roof we just replaced. We ordered the deep charcoal grey slate. After the rain while still wet the <a href="”>roof shines and glistens like real slate. It is a welcoming sight compared to the dull comp roofs of our neighbors.

Shortly after installation, there was a wedding up the road from us. We heard from a friend who attended that our roof was the <a class="wpil_keyword_link" title="hot" href="” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked”>hot topic of discussion since everyone had to drive by our house to reach the wedding. We get many compliments from people who drive by.

The installers, while being friendly, are very proud of their workmanship and we liked the fact that they kept referring to the roof as “their roof”. Hard working and diligent to the task, they were attentive to every detail. The best onsite reps Interlock could ever have. They were proud of the many years of service working for the company and that fact too lends itself to efficient communication and workflow. The install happened during the summer during some of the hottest days on record. The installers measured their days, coming early, resting during the hottest times and returning during the coolness of the evenings. Doing what needed to be done to get the job done.

While more expensive than traditional comp roofs up front, the fact that we never have to replace the roof during our lifetime is well worth it. This house is our forever house and the best part of our new roof is the fact that my husband will never have to climb up a ladder to clean off the moss that grows so well here in the wet but green northwest. After much investigation and consideration of other <a href="”>metal roofing products on the market, we highly recommend a metal roof, specifically one by Interlock.
