Edmonton Aluminum Roofing Review: Interlock Black Slate Metal Roof Installed September 2017 (Posted September 2019)

I dealt with Derek B who explained the Interlock Metal Roofing materials and technology, their warranty and the training of the installers in person. He sent me aluminum samples in my short list of colors and provided me with addresses of previous customers so I could see examples of their finished roofs near my home. He explained the potential disadvantage of steel roofs versus aluminum roofs and explained all about the membrane that they would apply over the entire roof before putting the aluminum on.

My Black Slate Interlock Metal Roofing aluminum roof was installed in September 2017. I have a typical 2000 square foot 2-storey home with attached garage. While they didn’t promise it would be completed in 1 day it was, which was a nice surprise. The crew was courteous and hardworking. They put a lot of effort into cleaning up the ground/site when the roof was finished. The finished look is outstanding and many people have stopped to inquire about my roof: What was it made of? Who put it on? How long will it last?

One thing I didn’t tell Derek B the Marketing and Special Promotions person for Interlock Metal Roofing [Alberta] was that I got a quote for a metal roof using steel [Decra Metal Shake XD] that was $2000 more than the quote he provided. Getting an aluminum roof instead of steel for less money sealed the deal. My home owner’s insurance premium was reduced after the roof was installed. I would recommend anyone who gets an Interlock Metal Roofing aluminum roof installed to do the same- contact your insurance company and get a lower premium. The transferable warranty is also a major benefit.

Buying an Interlock Metal Roofing aluminum roof was a great decision and I would do it again, no regrets.
