Just a few short thoughts about our new roof and experience with Interlock. We really liked the look of the wood shakes that we had on our home, so it was important to maintain that. The Cedar Shingle profile was beautiful when we looked at the sample, but the final appearance exceeded our expectation. We think our new roof is even more attractive now then with the old wood shakes. That it is made froman aluminum alloy and recycled, was an added feature and makes it a better choice for theenvironment. We believe that Interlock has a system that considers all the important areas, like thetrims and skylights.
We’ve noticed that other roof products seem to fail quickly in both life expectancy and appearance, particularly on the south facing side. Interlock is a premium roof and more expensive than many choices out there, but lasts a lifetime, so will not really cost us anymore than one of the lower price roofs that need maintenance and replacement. It is a lifetime roof that looks amazing now, and we’re looking forward many years of not having to worry. A few of our neighbors have this roof and they look as good today as the day they were put on, one maybe 10 years ago. Another thing that we like is that it will not burn. We are surrounded by many large trees so having a product that protects our home gives us a nice piece of mind. Overall a great value and worth the additional cost. The installation process was wonderful and professional. The installers did a fantastic job working all day and cleaning up each time they went home for the evening. They didn’t start too early or keep us up too late and work very hard to get it done. They were concerned with safety, so we were relieved to see that they had on safety equipment and were careful on the roof. We’re extremely happy with the entire experience and result so would recommend Interlock to our friends, family, and anyone who is looking for a great roof.
