From the ordering process that began in January to the actual installation of the roof in November, the communication could have been better. The charcoal gray "slate" roof was installed a few days ago, and we just had a tremendous rain storm; the roof did amazing. The workers who showed up were fast and professional and finished the job in 3 days. After they were done, they did a thorough site cleaning. The roof was definitely more costly than a conventional shingle roof and took some extra effort and delay to get scheduled, but we believe it was well worth it.

Everything went smoothly from sales to installation. Installing a metal roof was more expensive than most other materials, but it’s going to last 40 years+ and the warranty can be transferred to the next owner. We’re not handy and this is a huge peace of mind. We loved that this company does not subcontract and actually trains its crews on how to exclusively use their system of interlocking roof tiles. Because of this, the crew gets to work straight away, knows what their doing, and finish quickly. The things that took the longest to install were the skylights because they had to be custom made. That said, they placed a sufficient cover over the holes on the roof that held up to rain and tree debris. Interlock was easy to work with and we love the results!

Our energy bill is down, and the roof looks amazing! They fixed our back Desk, so there are no more leaks! The installers were fast and professional. They cleaned up everything before leaving at the end. I was very pleased with the whole process! Thank you, Interlock! Services: Roof installation, Attic venting
I live in a forest near the Oregon Coast. The original reason I wanted to purchase a metal roof was basically for fire prevention
I live in a forest near the Oregon Coast. The original reason I wanted to purchase a metal roof was basically for fire prevention. Composition shingles are the worst type of roof you can have when living in a forested area; metal roofs are the best. On September 11, 1992 I was on the island of Kauai, Hawaii when Hurricane Iniki, a Category-5 hurricane, took a direct hit. For our emergency shelter, we took refuge at the newly built Kauai Community College. We were told it had been built to hurricane standards and was safe. The college had a metal roof made of long slates stretching from the top to bottom. As the hurricane grew in strength, I watched the slate at one side of the building starting to flap…then flap more and more until it went flying into the air. Then, I watched the slate next to it do the same. This went on and on. When the eye of the hurricane went over us and everything slowed down, the people in that building rushed over to our building. For some reason our building’s roof held. Living on the Oregon Coast we get high winds every year. When I was informed about how the Interlock roof is tied together, I was sold on purchasing that style. Now, my roof can withstand up to a 180 per hour wind gust. I also like it’s look. After it was installed I sent a photo to a friend and her reaction was: “I thought you were going to buy a metal roof.” The roof even has a slate look to it. I used to own a business where we sent installation crews all across the country to install our multiple-run kennels. I know the importance of having a crew that knows what they are doing and are good representatives of our business. I give the Interlock installation crew an A+. They not only know what they are doing, but they are HARD WORKERS as well. On my job they went way beyond just roofing my house. They tore out the dilapidated structure around my chimney and built me a completely new one. They also added new flashing at the bottom of my roof windows, so I no longer have a problem with runoff ruining my wooden frame. I now have a new roof that will last much longer than me. It has added value to my home and peace of mind to me. When considering a new roof, I highly recommend Interlock.
Sincerely, Guy F. A Satisfied Customer
I’ve had this roof for about 18 months now. I am very happy with it and was quite pleased with the pre-sale discussion and the actual installation. I never thought a roof was something that you would get compliments on, but I certainly get them. I figured, why get a roof that would last me for 5 to 10 years when I can get one that will last virtually my lifetime? Very happy all around.
Sincerely, Gina C.
I cannot rave highly enough about the best experience I’ve ever had with a company and their employees. Their professionalism and workmanship were amazing. Interlock Metal Roofing did an exceptional job. The metal roof looks great on my historic house, and I continue to get compliments from the neighbors on how nicely the roof adds the finishing touch to the “1903 old lady. The roofers were incredible, arriving promptly first thing in the morning (7:30 am) and working every day until it was dark (8:30 pm). They would have finished the roof in the two-week period they had scheduled, but to our surprise, it was discovered that they had to remove four roofs installed on top of each other before they could install the new roof. There were no complaints, even though it added two extra work days to their schedule. They obviously left the place better than they found it, and I couldn’t be happier.

I love my Interlock Metal Roof! It makes my whole house look more beautiful. I was so impressed by how quickly and efficiently the roof was installed. It will be a while before I retire, but when I do I want to spend my time and money on travel and other fun things. I am so glad I never have to worry about re-roofing then or ever again! Not only that, but my roof will be just as beautiful then as it is now. If you are thinking about re-roofing, give Interlock a look.
Sincerely, Louisa H.
At the recommendation of a neighbor, we chose Interlock Roofing and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve been homeowners for 40+ years and fortunately have never had to worry about a roof, as our houses were new, and we moved somewhat frequently. Then two years ago we bought a second home on the Oregon Coast and knew we would have to replace the roof within a few years. Until finding out about Interlock, I fretted about having it replaced. So, after having our second home’s roof replaced, I asked Damon to inspect our main, 16-year old house in Portland. He thought it had anywhere from 2 to 5 years life in it, but we opted to have it replaced for three reasons. First, why wait for a leak, second, because the warranty is going to outlive me and finally…it will never be cheaper. The roof is absolutely beautiful and is the envy of the neighborhood. Dealing with Interlock has been such a pleasure on ALL fronts. The communication throughout the process was flawless. They did everything and more that was promised. Very few products and services have ever impressed me more.
Sincerely, Steve G.
While our house is nearly 100 years old, the new roof fits perfectly with the style and enhances the look of our home
We are very pleased with our new Interlock roof. While our house is nearly 100 years old, the new roof fits perfectly with the style and enhances the look of our home. We began receiving compliments from our neighbors almost immediately. Michael Laduke and his crew were professional and courteous, keeping the surrounding yard clean of debris and closing the gates each day to prevent our dog from escaping. Although the crew was slightly delayed due to an unfortunate encounter with a deer on the road, the work was completed just before the Thanksgiving holiday, adding the health and well-being of the crew and the beauty and protection of a new roof to our list of things to be thankful for. We greatly appreciate Mr. Laduke’s commitment to detail and his personal assurance that the project was completed before the holiday weekend. We would most certainly recommend Interlock Roofing Systems to anyone considering roof replacement.
Sincerely, Pat and Sally McCurdy
My wife and I needed a new roof and we wanted something that would last and look great. We found an Interlock booth at our local home improvement show and saw a great product that met all our requirements. Even though the Interlock roof is expensive, I knew it would last longer than any number of regular roofs. The installers were a great bunch of guys and they did a professional installation. The roof looks beautiful, way better than an asphalt roof. Thanks, Interlock.

Pine needles and more pine needles along with fir boughs each season covers our roof all throughout the year. We are consistently getting on the roof to blow off the needles and clean off the fir boughs. Though the job of cleaning off the roof does not take more than 3 – 4 hours, we were looking for a better way and an easier solution to our situation. Our neighbor was in the process of getting a new roof put on; it was Interlock Roofing Systems. We asked many questions regarding their roof and the options available. Their finished roof looked great. The metal roof in the slate shingles option looked really good. They were very pleased with their roof, the installers, and the installation process. Our sales representatives, Mike and Ross, explained the advantages of a metal roof, the benefits of Interlock Roofing and the installation process, answered all our questions and assured us that we’d be very pleased purchasing an Interlock Roof. Peter and Victor, our installers were personable, explaining their process. We had a couple of snow and ice days prior to our scheduled date, so they had to work hard to clean off and prepare the roof. They worked very diligently in the cold and some days in the heavy rain. Our roof took a few extra days waiting for additional materials to arrive. When it was all done, February 1, 2017, our Interlock Slate shingle roof looked great. We are pleased and are looking forward to years of our beautiful featured addition to our home.

The only way that we knew it is raining is if we hear it hit the windows or we look outside and see it coming down
We had a metal roof already, but we wanted a nicer looking metal roof that didn’t stand out in the neighborhood. After seeing the Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems at the Home Improvement Show, we set up an appointment. I had already checked them out on their website, so it wasn’t whether or not we were going to do the roof, rather what style and color did we want. Interlock kept us up to date on when they would be out here. The installers arrived in December 2016 and in two days we had a new roof. They were the most polite workers that we have ever had at the house. They showed us the material they that lay down before the roof goes on it was a very thick underlayment. No wonder our house is 5 degrees warmer and the heater doesn’t come on as much as it did before. They did an excellent job of clean up. You could not even tell that we had anything done outside. A few weeks after the roof was installed Glenn Boss and his boss showed up in person to make sure that everything was right and see if we had any questions. You do not see this level of service anywhere. This year here in the Pacific Northwest we have gotten a record amount of rain. With our old metal roof, it would have been really loud, but with the Interlock Roofing System, we can barely hear it. The only way that we knew it is raining is if we hear it hit the windows or we look outside and see it coming down. We just love our new roof! The house looks so much nicer than it did before with our other metal roof. And we are really enjoying how much warmer our home is now.
Sincerely, Jeff and Marla
No more climbing around on the roof! In the NW any roof is going to grow moss; except a metal roof. I tried zinc strips, moss killer, laundry soap, and I went up on my steep roof once or twice a year with a steel brush and a pressure washer, but it was a never-ending battle, and I wanted to retire! One neighbor’s new roof started growing moss after two years. Another neighbor pays to have his cleaned and treated every year. Now I can look back at the problem and smile. Also, leaves and snow just slide off, and squirrels and raccoons can’t damage it. The ridge vent system is pretty cool too. All the representatives from Interlock Roofs were impressive! The salesman was helpful, the area supervisor was amazing, and the installation crew battled with snow and ice to get the roof done with hardly a trace after the clean up (there were some small asphalt pieces hidden under the snow). They also did an excellent job of prepping the edges for the new gutters and even installed the new solar tube cap and bathroom vent, so those jobs went smoothly. The weather conditions had an impact on the schedule, but the office staff stayed in touch, so we always knew what to expect. Some questions arose between the time we contracted the job and the start, and the supervisor was here within a couple of days to answer them all. Everyone we dealt with throughout the project was outstanding. I doubt we will have any issues with the roof, but there is a 50-year transferable warranty and a great team to back it up if any problems arise. Is a metal tile roof more expensive? Look at the balance sheet: one roof verses four or five, an increased property value, a beautiful self-cleaning roof, more time in your life, and peace of mind or at least one less thing to worry about.
Sincerely, Dennis & Ann H.
To whom it may concern: We had the Interlock Metal Roof in Tudor Brown Cedar Shingle installed in August of 2016. We researched several options regarding roof replacement and decided to go with your company. It was the best decision we ever made. The crew was friendly fast and efficient. They explained to us every step of the replacement. They even went so far as to touch up paint where needed during the install. When it was all said and done, we could not have been more pleased. The new Interlock roof completely changed the look of our house for the better. The new roof and a new coat of paint took a 1996 Craftsman style house and made it look like brand new construction. We have the best-looking house in the neighborhood. We just suffered what has been one of the worst winters on record for the Pacific NW. High winds, 12 inches of snow, and freezing rain. Our new Interlock roof (pardon the pun) weathered it all fabulously. Some of our neighbors with standard roofing material didn’t fare as well. I would recommend to ANYONE looking for a new roof to invest in an Interlock metal roof. We don’t regret our decision for an instant.

Our old roof was torn off quickly and efficiently in February by the two installers assigned to install the Interlock Roof. The weather did not cooperate with us much but the installers worked with skill when weather permitted. The yard was cleaned of all debris better than any other workers we have ever employed in the past. The roof is beautiful. We are very happy that this is the last roof we will have. In the past year, we have observed at least two houses in our area that, apparently, have very astute owners who have installed an Interlock Roof. We happily recommend Interlock lifetime Roofing Systems.
Sincerely, Tina and William L.
I wanted to take a minute to tell you how happy we are with our new Interlock Roof. From working with you, in the beginning, the installation and not having to worry about a leaky roof ever again makes this one of the best investments we have made. We especially enjoyed working with your people. Angela in your office was such a pleasure to talk with, keeping us up to date on when we could expect the installation to begin. The installation crew (Peter, Art, and Victor) were very professional and so good about keeping the work area clean and worked around a barbecue we had planned with our neighbors. One of our initial concerns with a metal roof was what the noise level would be. Well, after all the rain that we have had in Oregon, we have to say that we think it is quieter than our old roof. Also, it is much more attractive than an asphalt roof. My wife and I are happy to have worked with you and will highly recommend you to anyone that needs to have a new roof on their home.
Sincerely, Jim and Sheryl N.
I really like the roof I have on my house. It really stands out as a nice roof in my modest neighborhood. I went with Interlock because the company uses the thickest gauge aluminum, has one of the best roof warranties, easy to maintain, is lead-free for future rainwater collection, and offered standing seam for my solar array installation. An added benefit is that the roof qualifies for some energy efficiency tax rebate. Interlock sales and HQ people worked with me when I went back and forth on getting a tubular skylight. When I did decide to get my own SolaTube, they charged me a fair price for the installation. The work crew guys were pleasant. They brought extra materials to my house. When I saw something I didn’t like, they replaced it without hesitation. I asked, and they said that they only do Interlock installations. One of they guys started eating a weed that was growing in my yard which I had been trying to identify for months. He told me the name and it was in one of my favored plant species, sorrel! What serendipity! To top it off, when I notified them that the natural gas guy inspected my venting and said to change it, the repairman came down and fixed it for me. No charge no hassles! I sure hope that my next 50 years with Interlock are as smooth as the first!
Sincerely, Kristin H
Mike and I discussed many types of roofing to apply to our home. After months of research, your product stood out the most as efficient, lasting and appearance. We then started shopping around by attending home shows and siding companies to give us estimates. Your company made a commitment to look at our home and assess the cost of applying your product. Only one other company out of four made the same commitment. Your company representatives arrived on time and were prepared to explain your product in depth to us. No other company that we contacted followed through on their appointments. After we agreed to the cost and time frame for the installation we were kept informed of the progress to have the new roof installed. We are very impressed with the office staff your sales team has behind them. The installation crew was very polite and efficient. They were tidy and friendly. They made all other contractors look shabby in comparison. The roof is and looks amazing. We get compliments on it all the time. We had a small rain storm and both of us went out to watch the water stream off of the roof and into the gutters just because it was so beautiful.
Ever grateful for your product, Mike and Maelette M.
Thank you Interlock Roofing for providing such a quality product and installation from which we will receive years of permanent protection from the elements. The job went smoothly. The crew showed up early and stayed late, answered all our questions, leaving a clean job site at the end of each day. The attention to detail was impressive. The house was a complex roof with skylights, vents and a masonry chimney. The quality and design of all the types of flashing’s, ridge vent, and fasteners were quite impressive and were expertly installed. The hardworking crew was attentive and stayed late when a rainstorm was expected to ensure we were watertight. This diligent crew was the best representative Interlock can have. From the initial contact at the Home and Garden Show in Portland to the visit from the Interlock Representatives to explain the product and show us the options, the experience was enjoyable and fun. One does not expect such friendliness when dealing with a larger company. We look forward to many years under our new roof.
Sincerely, Frank and Karen W.

We are very pleased with our new Interlock roof. The installation happened on time and went up very quickly. The installers were amazing; working through all kinds of weather conditions. They went over and above duty in cleaning up after themselves. We have had lots of compliments on how the roof looks now. People walking and driving by are amazed at the difference. The warranty is reassuring. Thank you for offering this product.
Sincerely, John and Joyce G.
To the Interlock Corporation, What can you say about a home improvement experience such as replacing the roof on your house? From the first contact to the completion of the project, it was the most enjoyable experience a person can have when dealing with a large commercial company. From the initial non-high pressure, very informative sales contact from a Home and Garden show to the friendly, efficient and respectful installers to the final personal contact to ensure we were satisfied with the results and that we were enjoying our new roof. The application and quality of the materials are beyond expectations. We have been enjoying the roof through the winter winds and rain, and hail of the Pacific Northwest. Everyone asks if it is noisy and tinny when it rains. We reply, “of course not! “ It is even quieter than the comp roof we just replaced. We ordered the deep charcoal grey slate. After the rain, while still wet, the roof shines and glistens like real slate. It is a welcoming sight compared to the dull comp roofs of our neighbors. Shortly after installation, there was a wedding up the road from us. We heard from a friend who attended that our roof was the hot topic of discussion since everyone had to drive by our house to reach the wedding. We get many compliments from people who drive by. The installers, while being friendly, are very proud of their workmanship, and we liked the fact that they kept referring to the roof as “their roof”. Hard-working and diligent in the task, they were attentive to every detail. The best onsite reps Interlock could ever have. They were proud of the many years of service working for the company, and that fact, too, lends itself to efficient communication and workflow. The installation happened during the summer during some of the hottest days on record. The installers measured their days, coming early, resting during the hottest times and returning during the coolness of the evenings, doing what needed to be done to get the job done. While more expensive than traditional comp roofs up front, the fact that we never have to replace the roof during our lifetime is well worth it. This house is our forever house, and the best part of our new roof is the fact that my husband will never have to climb up a ladder to clean off the moss that grows so well here in the wet but green northwest. After much investigation and consideration of other metal roofing products on the market, we highly recommend a metal roof, specifically one by Interlock.
Sincerely, Rev. Rockne and Suzanne S.
We thank you for providing such a quality product and installation which we look to receive years of permanent protection from the elements
We thank you for providing such a quality product and installation which we look to receiving years of permanent protection from the elements. The installation process went very well with a very professional and courteous crew of installers. Having dealt with a number of home improvements, including a kitchen and bathroom remodel, we appreciate the level of service the crew provided, especially providing very good communication with us. If you need further follow-up, please feel free to contact us. Already we have had a number of people in the neighborhood stop when we are in the yard to inquire about the roof. We are in a high-pedestrian traffic area, given the proximity of the business district, schools, transit, and other services. Based on our first impressions, we have told them we are pleased with how well the installation went and foresaw the benefit of this roof for us. Hopefully, our reference will guide people to inquire directly with your company.
I was initially apprehensive about the higher upfront cost of Interlock when compared to a basic composite shingle replacement, but three factors swayed me to give Interlock my business. First, the engineering behind the product is quite impressive. By that, I mean the way the panels interlock to form a tight, durable roof. Second, the roof looks great and will look the same for decades. Third, it’s a more environmentally sound solution by keeping my home cooler in the summer and also by being the last roof replacement the house will need. I have to say the installation crew was top-notch. They completed the job from tear-off to done in just over two days and left the gutters and yard cleaner than they found them. Admittedly my roof is small and fairly simple but to knock it out in two days during the triple-digit heat earned them my respect. All in all, I’d say I’m very happy with my new roof and the overall experience of working with Interlock.
Sincerely, Ben Shinen
