My Interlock Shake Style Roof in Aged Copper color was installed between December 21st and December 31st. Snow has covered most of the house and garage since it was installed, so I haven’t been able to enjoy the new look yet, but during the installation and before the snow it was obvious it I going to look great. I am glad I had them put Interlock Shakes on my 8ft x 16ft hip-roofed storage shed as well.

There are a lot of huge oak trees close to my house and they had caused the heavy cedar hand-split shakes to deteriorate from moss growing on them. I knew I needed a roof that would not have this problem in the future. I am a retired mechanical engineer and had built the house and garage myself. I studied the specs on steel, stone coated steel and several aluminum style shakes, before finally settling on the Interlock product. I believe it will prove to be a good choice.

I was very impressed with the quality and design of all the types of flashings, ridge vent, and fasteners that were expertly installed. I truly expect this roof to last and look great for generations.
I was also very impressed with the crew who did the work under Juan and Carlos’ direction. They worked tirelessly in some difficult weather conditions and short daylight hours. A number of minor changes were made on the fly with gutters, snow guards and roof penetrations and they were all executed precisely. They were very careful in making sure the roofs were protected overnight, on weekends and during the Christmas holiday. They did a great job of cleaning up the difficult mess made removing the decayed shakes.

I guess I won’t know for sure if there are any problems until we get some heavy rains in the spring and summer, but as of now, I would be happy to show the roof and talk to any prospective clients that are considering the Interlock product.

We watched as they worked on items until they had them just right; when we asked about some areas of concern multiple members of the installation team converged on the item and came down to explain and even illustrate with photographs how it was addressed.

I would like to provide you some feedback on the first phase of work done on our project at the Church of the Nazarene, in Chicago Heights. Before going into the details of the work perforn1ed, I would like you to know how pleased I was putting together this project with your sale manager, John Mondschean. John’s a pleasure to work with, always prompt, courteous, and clear with feedback and follow-ups. He not only knew his product well but proved to be very helpful in overcoming the various issues of the job. John was able to meet our needs while staying within the budget by offering helpful suggestions and options. I could only hope to have such a knowledgeable, responsible person to work with on future projects.

As for the first phase of work, installing a 50 year PVC membrane roof with insulation over the existing roof, integrating metal flashings and adding badly needed ventilation to the top flat area above our sanctuary.
This job was performed by a group of tradesmen that took pride in their workmanship, Not only did they arrive at the job site on time each workday, they never left without ensuring that the work site was clean and secure, daily. For me, that was a big plus. I watched the installation and was pleased with the care utilized by the workmen. Roofing seams were straight, smooth and clean. Details cuts and welded fitting were secured around each of the skylights with care. I was pleased with your workers and their workmanship as witnessed on the job site. Mark, most of all, I’m pleased to inform you that my biggest pet peeve was adhered to without fault, Safety. Your workmen used proper fall protections with tie-offs, body harnesses, and safety lanyards. All ladders and guards were properly secured. At the completion of the job, the work area was thoroughly cleaned and all scrap materials were removed from the work site.

Thank you for a job well done. This job was a well-managed and professionally carried out. I look forward to the second phase of our project in the fall.

Of the five name brand roofing contractors I screened for this project I chose Interlock and I am very pleased with the roof. Coordination and communication was critical especially since Interlock was to perform the installation immediately following another contractor performing a siding replacement. Communication with the interlock team was great and they remained flexible. Interlock was able to adjust their installation timeline as issues popped up with the siding project. Interlock promptly scheduled and dispatched materials and crew as soon as the siding contractor cleared out. I was a bit concerned about introducing a metal roof to the neighborhood, but could not be happier with the end result. In an effort to help tie everything together I had the siding contractor match the fascia wrap and gutters to the interlock roof black slate finish.

The installation team was courteous, professional, and they notified me of any issues they ran across with the structure during the tear-off phase. Clean-up performed by the installation team was better than that performed by other contractors that had worked at the site. Great attention to detail and they took extra measures to protect sensitive areas around the house. I am currently working with their finance department as I Refinance the house and they are by far the friendliest finance team I have ever worked with. Great communication and customer care standards!

The roof looks amazing and definitely grabs the attention of people driving by. The most amusing reaction so far was while I was watering the plants in the front yard a vehicle drove by, stopped abruptly, turned around, and pulled up into the driveway. A salesman in corporate attire for another roofing company stepped out of the vehicle and started asking questions about the roof. I was very familiar with the brand he represented because their product is rated among the best asphalt roofing products in the country. I thought that was quite amusing because here I am giving him contact information for a competitor . He was interested in something similar for his home so we talked for a bit about the Interlock Roof and he was very impressed. Reminded me of those old Coke versus Pepsi commercials.

My husband and I knew we were going to need a new roof in the near future and we were leaning toward steel roofs. While at the Minnesota State Fair, there was a booth for Interlock roofing. I picked up the brochure not thinking much of it. A major storm hit Northern Wisconsin shortly after. This one was intense, a tangled mess of trees and power lines. Between the 11″ of rain and hail the size of nickels that beat down on our older roof, it was clear we needed to start the search for a roof sooner than later. The asphalt roof granules covered our decks and ground! Interlock Industries were the first company I called after talking to my insurance company. The sales person answered right away, we scheduled an appointment only a couple days later. Interlock offered free estimates! In the mean time I called other steel roofing companies out of Northern Wisconsin. It took days to get a response, the customer service was lacking. After getting our estimate from Interlock and learning about the aluminum roofing shingles, we knew it was the best choice and the best investment for our newly purchased home. The product, warranty, and customer service was all top notch. With the winter season soon approaching, we asked if the company would still install during winter. They said they install all year. It would be a 6-8 week waiting period. In the mean time, I got a call from British Columbia following up with the process, the estimate of the start of the project, and if I had any more questions. Once again, we were so surprised by the great customer service. The building supervisor, Al called me a few days before delivery to see where it could be placed and Al came up to WI to make sure everything was there. He asked where the dumpster should be set, and said they will begin roofing the first week of December! Yikes, we just go dumped on with snow, Monday had below zero temps, thank goodness it warmed up for Alex and his crew! I asked Alex to check the integrity of the roof sheathing. While I was at work, he took pictures of the progress of the roof and showed me that the sheathing looked brand new and there was no damage. He answered all my questions and showed me pictures of what was being done. I kept the coffee pot full of coffee in our heated garage and supplied a microwave! I was so thankful that the crew was doing such a great job in the cold and snowy weather conditions, a heated garage and hot coffee was the least I could do! The roof was completed in 4 days and it looks awesome! Now it was just a waiting game for a snow to come and we could see the shingles and snow guards at work. It was quite scary hearing the snow fall off the roof for the first time, but it was well worth it, not to have to shovel our steep roof. The roof has already been put to the test; we’ve had heavy rain, winds and hail twice! It looks as good as it did on day one.

The house is 16 years old. The roof tiles were beginning to curl and I thought it was time to get a new roof. I consulted a company I had employed in the past and they offered me a roof with a 50-year warranty for about $28,000. I told my optician about their offer and he told me not to use them but to try Interlock. He had had a good experience with Interlock and recommended them to me. He gave me the BBB number to make the connection.

Interlock offered me a limited lifetime warranty with a far superior product which is energy efficient, color fading resistant for many years, weather and wind resistant, and environmental friendly made of 95% recyclable material. Up to a degree it is fire resistant, too. Pigeons are not attracted to it and that is marvellous because before I had a lot of pigeons sitting on top of it and getting a lot of droppings from them. Not now.

The work was done in about a week and a half. The workers worked constantly and were courteous and friendly. All spoke Spanish, my mother tongue. That made it pleasanter. I was surprised Hispanics were involved in this industry. Now I have a new roof from Interlock, new gutters from Leaf Guard, and new windows and doors from the Power Remodeling Group, all with a limited lifetime warranty. As a senior citizen, I cannot ask for anything more as my income becomes fixed in a few years.

I had an Interlock roof put on several years ago and I am not sure I agree with the statement “more expensive, sure”. While it does cost more to put on the roof, I think the payback more than covers the extra price.

I am sitting in my attic office, a place that got cold even with the heat this time of year, it is warm now. It stays cooler in the summer as well which saves on cooling costs.

25 years of saving money in a C.D. has well paid off for me. I endeavored to save money for a high quality roof; not wanting to pay for a substandard roofing system. I no longer wanted to have asphalt shingles. Interlock Roofing is the Crème de La of all roofing.

One day in June of 2014 I took one of my long walks. I came to a perfect standstill gazing up at the roof of a home I had often passed. It had a new hairdo. This elegant and beautiful roof (dark gray slate) certainly wasn’t asphalt shingles. What could it be? I decided to find out and knocked on the side door. I said to the man who came to the door “where did you ever get such beautiful roofing?” He then explained that he was thrilled with his recent purchase of Interlock Roofing that was installed in early spring. He immediately told me that it was a “lifetime” roof that was not only very energy efficient but was constructed as a high impact roof which could better handle nasty storms. He explained to me that I could get rid of my roofing heat tapes because there would be no more ice damming that I would have to be concerned about. Then he added with a twinkle in his eye that I could watch my neighbors struggle with raking snow off their roof and know that I would never have to stand out in the cold doing this task. With great pride he told me that Interlock Roofing would look as great as it does today as it would many years down the road because the color never fades.

I said, “who do I contact to get this kind of roof?” He gave me “Greg Weber’s telephone number. He also told me of another home in the area that has had the roof on for 7 years that I could go look at. I got in my car the next day and went over to that home and spoke to the owner and asked him if he was satisfied with the roof. He answered, “I’m 100% plus satisfied!” WOW! That’s as good as it gets.

The rest is history because I made an appointment to see Greg Weber. This week of August 18-20 installers came and installed my new roof on both the house and the garage. These men were by far the best men you could get. Would you like to know why? It’s because of their work ethics. They were polite, accommodating, and extremely hard working. It was evident that they certainly knew what they were doing every step of the way. When they were finished the end product of their job was both elegant and beautiful!

I hope people will take time to consider getting Interlock Roofing, which in my opinion is the best choice they could make if they desire to have a quality roof. We had replaced one roof in the time we had owned our home, and now it was time for the second replacement. I began to wonder if there were any alternatives to old asphalt technology. Also, we had two concerns about asphalt, the first is that it is not clean from an environmental standpoint and second, asphalt is oil based which means its cost is linked with the price of oil. I noticed that many commercial buildings had metal roofs. My wife and I usually do a lot of deep research for major home projects. We began looking into the possibility of replacing the current roof with metal. Our research indicated that there were residential metal roofs available in various metals and styles. Four factors need to be considered.

Type of metal. We chose aluminum over steel. It’s lighter and less susceptible to corrosion although corrosion is not a major factor due to the various coatings and treatments applied to both metals during the manufacturing process.
Structural assembly. We liked the Interlock method of attaching the panels to each other and the roof base. When complete the system is structurally sound and waterproof.
Installation process. Installing a metal roof requires experience. Installation is different from that of an asphalt roof. During our research, we had a hard time locating installers that had experience installing residential metal roofs. This was another reason that we chose Interlock. They are associated with installation crews who have the knowledge and experience required for working with the Interlock product.
The only other factor to consider is the style and color, and there are many to choose from.

Installation was uneventful, the crew was courteous and they explained exactly what they were doing and answered any questions that we had. The roof looks beautiful and we have had many compliments on it since it was installed two weeks ago. We are very happy that we chose Interlock for this project and highly recommend them.
