Interlock is a great company

5/5

Thank you so much for meeting with us to arrange the purchase of a new roof by Interlock. It’s Beautiful!

It is so beautiful that our neighbors are always looking and complimented us for the decision we made to install our Interlock roof.

The crew, Mr. Molin Temofey the most professional, intelligent worker, I ever had working on my house, he was polite – he did the work, and he cleaned up beautifully (even better than how he found it – to our pleasure). The roof was delivered three weeks earlier, as well the installation! The crew worked long hours to get the job completed.

I WILL RECOMMEND not only the Interlock sales as well the installation personnel.

Thank you – Interlock is a great company with a product that is sure to give us many years of security knowing that our roof will surely outlast us and that we don’t have to worry about any future roofing jobs.
You were very accommodating and a pleasure to work with!

Keep your home cooler during summer months, warmer during winter month, eliminates ice dams

5/5

We recently had your Interlock Roofing System installed on our home. It has now been about 3 months since the roof was installed. We receive many compliments on how beautiful the roof looks. Your installers were polite, fast, cleaned up the area daily and did a full clean up after the job was completed.

My wife and I discussed installing a metal roofing system because of the many advantages of a metal roofing system. We did not want a system like the ones everyone sees on old barns, (straight panels). We were looking for an attractive looking system that would add curb appeal to our home.

We decided to go to one of the local home shows to see what types of roofing systems were available. That’s when we found your company. I had seen various style metal roofs on home TV shows, but none of them matched the interlocking panel system like yours.

The shingles not only interlock with each other but they are also nailed into the roof deck for a good solid roofing system.

I work at a local College as the Manager of Building Services. I am responsible for maintenance of many difference types of buildings and roofs. I have seen the amount of damage caused by water, snow, ice and wind. So when deciding what type of roof we should install on the largest investment anyone purchases in their lifetime (a house), we decided to invest in a metal roof which we will never have to worry about again.

The advantages of the metal roof are easy to understand and see. Interlock roof system will keep your home cooler during summer months, warmer during winter month, eliminates ice dams, keeps your heating and cooling costs down and looks great year round. While keeping your house safe from water, ice, snow and wind damages.

The most often asked question since we had this roof installed was, Isn’t it noisy when it rains? I want to tell you, that we have had many heavy down pours and you can not hear the rain, even during the hardest rainstorms. It is not any louder than any other roofing system.

Our off white house has blue awnings and blue shutters so when my wife saw the blue color offered in your brochure, she fell in love with it and decided it would match our house nicely, and she was right. My niece came over to see the new roof and said the house looks like it’s brand new, our house was built in 1954.

We have people drive by the house and they literally stop to admire how great the house looks. When we’re out in the yard people blow their horn and yell “the roof looks great”.

Purchasing a metal roof is more expensive but you’ll never spend another penny on your roof again. You’ll never have to listen to people pounding nails while you’re trying to relax after you returning home from work. You won’t have to worry about coming up with the expensive cost of replacing a roof on your home after you retire. All of these reasons are just part of why we invested in installing the roofing system that will be still on our home after we are gone. Not to mention it has a full replacement warranty transferable to the next owner should you ever decide to sell your house.

We believe it adds curb appeal to your home, saves you money on utilities, increases the value of your house and you will never have to replace it for as long as you live.

If you look at the cost to install a conventional asphalt shingled roof, which you will probably have to invest in twice in your lifetime, coupled up with the cost of disposal for stripping your old roofing system. I believe you will find it will cost about the same monies in the long run and you will not be inconvenienced by construction noise while your roof is being replaced again for second or third time.

I believe this is the best investment we have made next to the purchase of our house.

This message is for anyone who is considering investing in a metal roof. Spend the little extra on the roof that will protect your most costly investment you will ever make and never have to worry about it again. How can you possibly consider any other roofing system?

Sincerely,
Michael Fern

Thanks for a very positive roofing experience!

Our new roof is so beautiful we’re thinking of charging a fee to all the gawking neighbors that stop by to admire it!!!

This was fun, positive experience from start to finish. Our sales rep spent three hours at our home going over every possible detail with us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions. As you can see by the pictures we have a pretty basic roof. There was no tear off to do; still, our three installers were 80% done on the very first day! Everything was done and cleaned up to our satisfaction by the end of day two. Our installers were friendly, courteous and hard working. I watched them for a few minutes as they all worked like a finely tuned machine installing our roof in perfect rhythm.

For us, Interlock meant that the third time was the charm. We’d tried to do business with two other companies. The first took a large amount of money as a down payment and gave absolutely no customer service for two months. We got our money back and started over. The second company gave an inaccurate bid. Needless to say, we entered into this contract with some trepidation. interlock is a fabulous company and we’d recommend them to anyone in the market for a new roof!

Lynnwood Metal Roofing Review: Why Our Interlock Aluminum Shingle Roof Made Our Home Stand Out

Lynnwood Metal Roofing: How a New Roof Turned One Home Into a Neighborhood Landmark

The Review That Started It All

The Human Story Behind the Shingles

Every review tells a story.
And Christian’s story isn’t about shingles or warranties or even rain—it’s about transformation.

See, no homeowner wakes up one morning thinking, “I want aluminum shingles.”
They wake up thinking, “I want my home to feel safe. To look proud. To last.”

That’s the moment when a roof stops being a product and starts becoming a promise.

In Lynnwood, where cedar trees line the streets and fall storms roll in off Puget Sound like clockwork, your roof isn’t decoration. It’s armor. Every drop of Pacific Northwest rain tests your investment, every gust from Edmonds to Alderwood Village whispers the same question: “Did you choose well?”

Christian did.

The Neighborhood Shift

If you drive through Lynnwood’s quiet cul-de-sacs—near Meadowdale, maybe, or a few turns off 196th Street—you’ll see homes that blend in. Vinyl siding, asphalt shingles, the predictable Pacific Northwest palette.

And then, one house catches your eye.
A subtle shimmer of Deep Charcoal aluminum slate, perfectly aligned in clean, modern lines. That’s Christian’s home.

It doesn’t shout. It belongs—but it also elevates.
That’s what great design does. It makes the familiar feel new again.

Neighbors notice. Conversations start.
And suddenly, a roof becomes a small act of leadership.

The Weather, the Why, and the Wisdom

Lynnwood gets nearly 40 inches of rain every year—more than the national average. Add in Pacific storms, moss growth, and the occasional snow melt, and your roof becomes a 24/7 test of endurance.

Traditional shingles? They curl, crack, and age before their time.
Metal shingles? They endure. Quietly. Efficiently. Beautifully.

An Interlock Metal Roof isn’t just made for this climate—it thrives in it.

  • It sheds rain instantly
  • Laughs at moss
  • Handles wind gusts up to 120 mph with its four-way interlocking system
  • Reflects heat in summer, keeps warmth in during winter.
  • And never needs to be replaced again.

In Lynnwood, that’s not a luxury. It’s foresight.

Honesty and Improvement

Christian mentioned honesty. And he’s right—it matters.
Because roofing isn’t just about materials; it’s about trust.

Here’s the truth we’ve learned over 40 years:
People don’t care about aluminum alloys, bake coatings, or clip systems.
They care about how life feels after the roof goes on.

  • Less worry when it rains
  • Lower bills when the sun beats down
  • More pride every time they pull into the driveway

That’s the real product we deliver: improvement.
The kind that outlasts storms—and expectations.

A Roof for the Future

Eighty-five percent of buying behavior is about the future.
It’s about what happens next—how life gets better after the choice.

That’s why the Interlock Metal Roofing System exists.
It’s the last roof you’ll ever need:

  • Backed by a Lifetime Limited Warranty
  • Built from sustainable aluminum (up to 95% recycled content)
  • Designed for solar compatibility
  • Proven to deliver ROI up to 85.9% according to Remodeling Magazine

And because it never needs replacement, it helps reduce roofing waste—part of the 11 million tons of shingles that otherwise end up in landfills every year.

For Christian, that means his investment wasn’t in metal—it was in peace of mind.

Local Expertise. Lifetime Commitment.

We’ve served homeowners across Lynnwood, Edmonds, Mukilteo, and the greater Snohomish County area for decades.
From the Alderwood Mall district to Meadowdale Beach Park, we understand local codes, wind zones, and the specific installation details required for this region’s weather and steep rooflines.

Every Interlock installation meets or exceeds Washington State Building Code Section 1507.4, ensuring proper underlayment, fastening, and ice barrier protection.

Because in the Pacific Northwest, “good enough” isn’t good enough.

Experience the Change

If you’re ready to see what transformation looks like on your own home, visit Interlock Metal Roofing Lynnwood or call 1-866-733-5811 to schedule a free, no-obligation consultation.

Because it’s not about what we make.
It’s about what you become when you stop worrying about your roof—forever.

Christian’s story is about a roof, sure.
But it’s really about the feeling of pulling into your driveway and loving what you see.

That’s what we build at Interlock Metal Roofing.
Not just roofs—but confidence.

Top 10 FAQs — Lynnwood Metal Roofing

Because our weather is relentless: long wet seasons, wind events, and occasional heavy snow bursts. Lynnwood’s rain peaks in November (~7.7 in.) and stays elevated through winter, which accelerates wear on conventional shingles.
What it means for you: A roof that sheds water fast, resists wind uplift, and doesn’t feed moss is not optional here—it’s the baseline. That’s exactly what Interlock’s four-way interlocking aluminum system does.

The Hanukkah Eve Windstorm (Dec 2006) knocked out power to ~1.8M customers region-wide and hammered Snohomish County PUD—a reminder that wind is a first-order risk here. Interlock panels lock on all four sides and are engineered for high wind resistance, unlike nailed-down tabs that can lift.
Seattle-area snow in Feb 2019 was the snowiest month in 50 years; quick, heavy dumps expose weak roofs. Interlock’s smooth metal surface sheds snow, reducing load and the chance of ice dams when temperatures swing.
Yes. Metal is inhospitable to moss, and Interlock’s profiles shed water immediately—critical in our wettest months (Nov–Feb). That means less maintenance and a roof that still looks great years later.

Washington’s code requires an ice barrier where there’s a history of eave ice backup; cities follow the state code family (IRC/IBC) with local admin. Interlock systems are installed to meet or exceed state adoption of the 2021 codes and local permit processes. (Check the City of Lynnwood permit portal and re-roof checklist before you start.)

Wildfire smoke is a recurring Puget Sound issue. A non-combustible, Class-A metal roof contributes to a fire-resilient home envelope, and reflective finishes help manage attic heat during summer spikes—keeping comfort up and energy costs down.

Yes. The M6.8 Nisqually earthquake (2001) reminded the region we live with seismic risk. A lighter aluminum roof means less mass on the structure during shaking, which is a structural advantage versus heavy coverings. (Nisqually caused $1–4B in damage region-wide.)

Most Lynnwood neighborhoods were built with asphalt norms. Interlock’s Deep Charcoal Slate, Shake, Tile, Cedar Shingle, and Standing Seam profiles upgrade curb appeal without clashing with PNW architecture—from Meadowdale Beach Park corridors to streets off 196th near Alderwood. In short: your home still fits in—just better.

That’s the idea. Traditional shingles are a 15–20 year cycle; most owners buy 3–4 roofs in a lifetime. Interlock is designed to be the last roof you’ll need, backed by a Lifetime Limited Warranty—so you stop re-buying the same roof over and over. (It also helps keep millions of tons of roofing out of landfills each year.)

It mechanically locks panels on all four sides to fight wind uplift and wind-driven rain—exactly the failure modes we see in Puget Sound storms. Fewer exposed edges = fewer opportunities for water and wind to win.

Yes. Interlock roofs are solar-ready. Racking attaches without tearing up waterproofing, and metal’s lifespan finally matches your PV system—so you’re not re-roofing under panels mid-life. That’s real future-proofing.

Lynnwood’s online Permit Center streamlines submittals and inspections; the city provides a re-roof checklist to clarify when full permits/plan review are required. Interlock coordinates to meet code and manufacturer specs so your warranty and compliance are airtight.

National remodeling data shows metal roofing ROI ~85.9% (varies by region and home). In Lynnwood, buyers value low-maintenance exteriors and energy efficiency, so you get curb appeal and an economic case—especially when you factor in “no second roof.”

Because homeowners don’t buy metal; they buy improvement. Lynnwood’s record windstorms, wet winters, snow bursts, smoke seasons, and seismic reality all point to one thing: a roof that lasts, locks tight, sheds water and snow, resists fire, looks refined, and is ready for solar. That’s Interlock.

Lynnwood Metal Shingles Built to Last — The Roof That Changed Everything for Howard & Kurin

A Roof That Redefined Home — Howard and Kurin’s Story in Lynnwood, Washington

There’s something powerful about peace of mind. It’s quiet, it’s invisible, but once you have it—you can’t imagine life without it. For Howard and Kurin, homeowners in Lynnwood, WA, that feeling arrived the day their new Black Interlock Shake Roof went on. Not just a new look. Not just a new roof. A transformation.

The Story Behind the Review

That’s not marketing copy. That’s gratitude.
The kind that comes when a company quietly delivers on every promise it made.

Why This Matters in Lynnwood

In Lynnwood, weather isn’t background noise—it’s a lifestyle.
The kind that rolls in from Puget Sound, dripping from cedar branches, whispering through neighborhoods like Alderwood, Martha Lake, and Meadowdale.

Roofs here fight a constant battle: moss, moisture, freeze-thaw cycles, and gusty winter storms. Most lose. They curl, they crack, they fail.

Howard and Kurin chose not to play that game again.
They invested once—in permanence.

The Interlock Metal Roofing System was designed for this exact corner of the Pacific Northwest.
It doesn’t absorb water. It doesn’t invite moss. It locks together on all four sides to stand firm against Lynnwood’s wind and rain.

Customers Don’t Buy Products—They Buy Improvement

People don’t care about your company history.
They care about how their lives change afterward.

Howard and Kurin didn’t buy a roof; they bought freedom.
Freedom from leaks, repairs, and the countdown to “how many years left.”

And that’s what Interlock delivers—

  • Lifetime warranty (Never Re-Roof Again.)
  • Energy efficiency through cool-roof aluminum design
  • 4-way interlocking system built for Northwest weather
  • Exceptional curb appeal that actually adds joy
  • 85.9% ROI, according to Remodeling Magazine

That’s improvement. That’s transformation.

A Home That Tells Its Own Story

Drive through Lynnwood—past Alderwood Mall, maybe down 196th Street SW—and you might catch a flash of black shimmer between evergreens.
That’s their home.
That’s what “never again” looks like.

Because for Howard and Kurin, the roof isn’t the headline.
It’s the quiet confidence beneath it all.

Top 10 FAQs — Lynnwood Metal Roofing

What makes Interlock Metal Roofing different from traditional roofs in Lynnwood, WA?

Traditional asphalt shingles typically last 15–20 years in Lynnwood’s damp, moss-prone climate. Interlock Metal Roofing systems are built from durable aluminum with a four-way interlocking design that resists wind, rain, and moss — making them a lifetime roofing solution.

Lynnwood receives over 40 inches of rain annually. Interlock’s aluminum roofing panels are non-porous and interlock tightly on all sides, preventing water infiltration, rot, and mold — ideal for the Pacific Northwest’s wet climate.

Yes. Unlike asphalt shingles, aluminum roofs don’t retain moisture or organic material where moss and algae can grow. Homeowners in shaded neighborhoods like Meadowdale or Perrinville see a significant reduction in moss-related maintenance.

Not at all. When properly installed with underlayment and attic insulation, an Interlock metal roof is often quieter than asphalt. Many homeowners describe it as a soft, steady sound rather than a loud echo.

Interlock roofs are designed to last a lifetime. While most roofs in the area need replacement every 15–20 years, Interlock’s aluminum systems come with a Lifetime Limited Warranty, ensuring long-term protection against weather, corrosion, and fading.

Interlock roofs reflect solar heat rather than absorbing it, keeping homes cooler in summer and reducing energy costs. In winter, they prevent heat loss and ice dam formation — perfect for Lynnwood’s mild but damp winters.

Yes. Interlock’s 4-way interlocking panels are engineered to resist winds up to 120 mph — a major advantage in areas that experience coastal gusts from Puget Sound.

The upfront cost is higher than asphalt shingles, but it’s a one-time investment. Homeowners like Howard and Kurin appreciate knowing they’ll never re-roof again — and the ROI averages 85.9% according to Remodeling Magazine.

Absolutely. Interlock roofs are solar-ready, with strong aluminum structure and interlocking seams that easily accommodate modern solar mounting systems without compromising weather resistance.

Yes. Interlock Metal Roofing serves homeowners throughout Lynnwood and surrounding communities — including Alderwood, Martha Lake, Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, and the greater Puget Sound region.

First I would like to say Thank you to your roofers Alex and Aven for a job well done on the installation of my new Interlock aluminum alloy slate roof in Tudor brown. Both men were here each day and worked diligently and conscientiously making sure that each step of their work was done to the highest expectations and meticulous at each step of the process and answered any questions that I had. In addition as they worked on different sections of the roof they were as quiet as possible for my daughter works nights at a local hospital and sleeps during the day.

What a difference in curb appeal my Interlock roof has made to my house. It really stands out on the street and is a a lot quieter then the old cedar shake roof of 30 years. I am also most pleased with Interlocks high quality features, durability, and appearance during a recent rain shower and is maintenance free.

The solar skylight installed with my new roof has made my upstairs hallway brighter. I love it.

I would also like to thank Mr. Glen Caldwell for coming out from Seattle and showing me the Interlock Roofing System, as the choice was mode easier by his presentation, and Heather for helping me with securing the container and for being patient while I got my financial situation in order.

And finally, I would like to thank Alex and Aven for looking over my new Interlock roof one last time and making sure all roof debris was picked up and in the big container.

Thank you I am very happy with my new roof.

Interlock Roofing System has made our home look like a million bucks!

5/5

First, we want to say that Mr. Mike Yaniv was very through in explaining the advantage of your interlocking aluminum roof system.

It is truly the way to go today. And the more exposure to this type of roofing system, your company will have a very heavy work load. It is definitely the trend of the future.

We want to praise Mr. Igor Kurilo – who personally delivered all the material and building permit. There’s not many workers in this world today like him who take pride in their work. He found my existing ridge vent system was not working, and replaced each side of the ridge with new plywood and installed the roof venting system.

Mr. Yaniv, and Mr. Kurilo together with your Interlock Roofing System has made our home look like a million bucks!

I also did investigation through the Better Business Bureau

5/5
No more problems with moss and lichens, like I had with the asphalt shingles. I am extremely happy with my new Interlock Roofing System and to think it has a lifetime warranty. There have been several rainstorms that last couple of weeks and to me the metal roof had added no additional noise at all. The flat roof is also a welcomed addition. The material quality is tip-notch throughout. A flat roof will normally wear out first; however, this also comes with a lifetime warranty. I have been impressed with Interlock from my first awareness at the local home show. I also did investigation through the Better Business Bureau. During all interaction with Interlock, employees have been professional and courteous. The sales presentations were very informative. I was also able to visit half dozen houses locally that had had Interlock Roofing Systems installed. The benefits of the Interlock roof over an asphalt roof are numerous. In these days of rising energy costs and the high price of fuel, the expected energy savings are welcome. I will also be able to take advantage of the energy credit on my taxes this year. The fact that the roofing material deflects the heat versus absorbing it will make the house cooler during the summer months. Working with the installation team of Finn and Alex was a delight. The attention they gave to making sure things were done right was greatly appreciated. From the moment they arrived in the morning, till they went home at night, they were constantly working. During the installation period, there were several rainstorms. Alex and Finn always made sure they had things buttoned up before the storm started. We were lucky enough to get a couple of good days and they took advantage of them by working between 10 and 11 hours those days. If I saw anything that I did not like, it was quickly addressed or the explanation was given why it had to be done that way. The answer was always acceptable to me. They took the time to help me understand the various installation tasks. The longevity of Finn and Alex’s careers with Interlock are testimony to Interlock as a company, their product knowledge and experience levels, and work quality. I would highly recommend Interlock Industries roofs to others.

Save money on yearly heating and cooling bills

5/5

This past Fall I began soliciting bids for stripping off two layers of shingles on my 23-year old shingle family home and replacing the “worn” shingles with a new layer of fiberglass shingle. You may ask, since the home was “only” 23 years old, why there was already two layers of shingles and how come the top layer was now in need of replacement! Believe me, I was asking the same questions. Granted, we had not paid (directly) for either layer of shingle since they both were on the home when we purchased it, but it was still a concern of mine with respect to the fiberglass shingle industry.

My wife and I have owned this home for nine years and, when we initially moved in, we had the home vinyl-sided and replaced most of the windows with energy efficient, up-and-down windows as opposed to the then crank-out windows. The then existing roof shingles had excellent curl-appeal when viewed against the newly installed vinyl siding and window shutters, so much so that passersby thought we had the roof re-shingled as well.

So, in our search for new shingle, we sought out a shingle that would have that same curb appeal as well as longevity. Well, we could not find anything that came close to providing us with the idea that, “Yeah, this one will look great on our home and last a long time.”

This Spring I responded to a newspaper advertisement I’d seen and a mailing that I received regarding the installation of a metal roof. Certainly, installation of a metal roof in our “neck of the woods,” where there is some pricey real estate, was something of an oddity. However, I did some research on metal roofs over the Internet and found myself intrigued and please by what I read.

My wife and I met with Interlock Industries, Inc. sales representative Gerry Matta, and he explained the concept and longevity of a metal roof, its energy-savings benefit, and more specifically, showed us the colors and Interlock design afforded by their product known on the internet as NewEnglandsBestRoof.com.

After hearing the sales presentation, my wife and I were intent on seeing two homes within 20 miles of our home that had the same color metal roof we anticipated purchasing for our home. Let me tell you, after viewing the exterior of those homes, we definitely had made up our minds that we were going to be the first in our neighborhood with an Interlock shingle metal roof because it was going to afford us with fabulous curb appeal for our home.

Well, now that the stripping off of the deteriorating fibreglass shingles and the installation of the “tile red” Interlock shingle has been completed, our home is now a showcase for the metal roof industry.

We have had numerous compliments from family and neighbors regarding the beauty of the home with the new Interlock shingle installed. We have had many vehicles pass roadside and slow down to view our home and several inquiries form those motorists as to where we obtained the beautiful roof.

Thank you to Interlock Industries, Inc. for creating a product that allows my family to have the satisfaction to know that we will never have to replace roof shingles again, will save money on yearly heating and cooling bills, and, more importantly, have a home that truly has a dynamic curb appeal. It’s just beautiful!!

Thanks again.

I rate my experience A+ with Interlock

5/5

I recently had an Interlock roof system installed on my home the last week of April 2007. I am extremely pleased with my new roof. It looks awesome. The installers had quite a challenge working around the weather that week. They were only off by about 3 hours from the time they said they would finish. That in itself is remarkable considering the heavy rains they had to contend with. They were hard workers and very polite. They cleaned up their industrial mess as well as some of my own winter mess.

My experience with Interlock Industries from the initial phone call, to the sales representative as well as the installers was like working with old friends. I would recommend Interlock Industries and their products to anyone without hesitation. I do not make referrals often, because I feel my word of recommendation is a sacred trust. I rate my experience A+ with Interlock. I know I am going to enjoy my new roof for a long time.

I have been the owner of my home since 1979

5/5

I have been the owner of my home since 1979. Since then, I have been through water heaters, paint jobs and one roof. After the third water heater let loose, I decided there had to be better products out there. I now own a water heater that I can trust and my oil company will stand by.

Two years ago, I saw two houses nearby with the Interlock roof. I said that is what I need for the same satisfaction that I got from the water heater. And I also got a roof that looks good and compliments the last paint job and shutters. I also have the guarantee to back up an excellent job that was done installing the roof.

My next project is to find paint/siding that will give me a home with little maintenance and less worries.

The end product is a roof that reflects quality

5/5

The installation of our Interlock Roof System was completed this week to our total satisfaction and expectation!

The compliments of our new roof are just beginning to be received. Your installation crew of three young men, headed by Peter, are to be commended as they did an outstanding job of removing the old shingle roof, sheeting the roof surface with 1/2″ CDX plywood prior to installing the interlocking aluminum panels of Tudor Brown.

Our 3,000 sq. ft. home has numerous hips and valleys making it a more complicated roofing system than normal, but your installation crew was able to complete the project within ten working days.
The crew’s work ethic elicited several admiring comments from neighbors.

One comment was, ‘lt would be difficult to find a more hard working and thorough crew than what you had working on your home”.
We also appreciated the fact that the crew left the premises orderly after each day’s work and completely removed all debris when the project was completed.

The entire process from the visit of your sales representative, Glen Caldwell, to the work phase of the installation crew was done most professionally.
The end product is a roof that reflects quality and one that we will not have to replace in our lifetime.

Thank you.
