We are writing to thank you for the fine job that was done on our roof installation. Before we talked to your company at the fair, we were confused and indecisive on the products available. After we talked to Bill Gray at our home, we decided that Interlock was the roofing for us.
From our meeting with your representative to the finish of the installation of the roof took less than a month. That included the wait for the permission from the Homeowners Association and financing through your company.
The installation team that worked on our home was courteous, efficient, pleasant and hard working. Everything was kept neat And clean as they worked.
We love the look of the roof and can’t stop looking at it whenever we go outside. It improves the look of the home.
Thank you,

A large percentage of landfill waste is comprised of discarded roofing materials
To Whom It May Concern:
We bought our house in 2001. At that time we knew we had about 5-7 years of life left on our composition roof.
In October of 2009, my husband and I attended the Home Show held at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds and we submitted our name at the Interlock booth to get more information about metal roofs, as we had been thinking about moving in that direction to replace the roof.
About two weeks later, we met Ross Peterson. He spent about two hours educating us on roofs and all the different types of roofing materials available, how a large percentage of landfill waste is comprised of discarded roofing materials, and the range of expenses associated with the different kinds of roofs available to homeowners. He was polite, patient, and very knowledgeable.
We went into the meeting hoping that the cost of a metal roof would somehow match up with the amount of money we felt we had available to put a new roof on our house. Overall, we determined that the work being done and the length of time we could expect the roof to last would far outweigh the expense in the long run. Especially since a metal roof can last 50 years, but you can expect to put a composition roof on several times in that time-frame.
Our materials were delivered in early December and a few days later we met the work crew. They were friendly, considerate, and seemed well trained to complete the job. Unfortunately, we started having extreme weather conditions, like deep freezes one week and heavy rains the following week. Both of those situations caused the job to be delayed, both due to the safety of the crew and to keep the roof conditions as ideal as possible.
We are now almost 3 months post install and are quite happy with the end result. We are pleased with our color choice and plan to paint our house this summer with a coordinating color to complement the roof.
Thank you Interlock!
Sincerely,

We just wanted to let you know how thoroughly-pleased we are with our new Interlock Roof. It is absolutely beautiful and we have had a lot of people stopping as they walk or drive by to admire how nice it looks.
Everything progressed on the job exactly as you had shared with us when we signed the contract. There were no surprises. From the beginning when we got the call to set up a start date, to the final clean up and retrieval of the waste bin everything was handled so professionally. Viktor and Alex were a dream to work with-so-pleasant and each day everything was left so tidy that it would have been hard for guests to tell that we were in the middle of a re-roofing job.
We will highly recommend your product and doing business with such a professional and obviously well run company.
Sincerely,

The haunted house look changed instantly into desirable real estate
What a substantial difference the Interlock aluminum roof has made to the appearance of my hundred year old house. The haunted house look changed instantly into desirable real estate. The people who sold me the house have said they wish they had asked more for it now!
My previous roofer, who I have used for many years on five different roofs with excellent results; drove by and said he knew it was a good job. He also wanted to recommend Interlock roofing to another customer who wanted something better than
composition roofing.
The service was great, the sheet metal engineers were industrious, exacting workers, and there have been no problems with anything.
It looks so solid and neat; I cannot describe it exactly, but I will never be happy with composition roofing again. The leaves slide right off so it is always clean, and shows off the gables and fancy lines of the house so well… I love it!
A very satisfied customer,

Another advantage of a very conductive aluminum roof is that it forms a Faraday cage around the house
The Kirkwood family is the proud owner of a new, red, Interlock aluminum alloy tile roof, installed this July. This new roof greatly improved the look of our home in replacing our old wood shingle roof, whose life had expired. We were happy that the new roof could be installed directly over the old wood roof, without the messy ripping up that we have observed each of our neighbors go through. The installation crew were extremely courteous and worked very hard to complete the installation in 3 days. We were also impressed with the promptness of delivery for a custom made roof. It was only two weeks from order to installation.
What a difference! On a bright sunny day the red surface of the garage roof actually glows against the second story of the house. Our neighbors from up to a block away have commented that the house looks brand new. Sometimes we think they enjoy it more than we do. That is not completely true, however, because I will not miss cleaning the maple nuts, leaves and moss, applying water sealer then patching the wood shingle splits to prevent leaks. We waited in sending this letter until the middle of fall, to see how the new roof handles the maples nuts and leaves, as we live in a forest setting. On a rainy, windy, night this week, the rain washed the leaves down into the gutters, leaving the roof clean.
It is much easier to clean the gutters than the roof. Our house is also located near electric power transmission lines and stray electric fields from them interrupt AM radio signals. Another advantage of a very conductive aluminum roof is that it forms a Faraday cage around the house, eliminating the AM interruption and also potential health hazards. The roof has also improved reception from our outside antenna for TV signals.
We are very happy with our new roof.

We are enjoying a much cooler home interior, as advertised
Our Interlock Roof has now been installed three weeks and we couldn’t be more pleased. Suffice to say we haven’t yet experienced the winds and rains of winter, but we are enjoying a much cooler home interior, as advertised. Certainly the compliments we have been receiving from neighbors and passersby have been most positive and rewarding. Our cul-de-sac has five homes, each with a different roof; shake, tile, wood shingle, comp, and Interlock Aluminum, and needless to say which one stands out the most. Several have even asked if it’s a “slate roof. We’ve had so many ask about it that I now carry three of the shake shingles around in my car to show people we visit what Interlock is all about. Needless to say we’ve become quite an expert at “locking” them together.
The installation process was most impressive. We had two neighborhood homes, receive “comp” roofs while ours was being installed. They took about 3 days each to complete. Your installation team of Alex and Viktor Drigailo were here 11 days and what a pleasure and experience it was to observe their work. Just watching the time and care they exercised was sufficient to all that Interlock was a “different” roof. Their work ethic was something to behold and it was indeed our pleasure to have them with us for that period. We’ve even taken their photographs to remember them by.
Thank you all for making our new Interlock roof possible.
Most Sincerely,
James Woodle

My staff team upstairs noticed it keeping them cooler in the summer
The Interlock Roofing Team,
Thank you for a job well done! We are so pleased with the quality, look and feel of our new roof. Your installers were quick, courteous, and professional! We have noticed a big difference in this first year of how much better the roof is holding in the heat in during the winter. There is typically 3-6 feet of snow on the ground throughout the winter and I can also tell a difference by how and when it slides off the roof. Also my staff team upstairs noticed it keeping them cooler in the summer. We didn’t expect that but has been a added benefit.
Again, thank you so much for your investment into the lives of youth by providing a roof for our staff team. The old roof was not only an eye sore but leaking and a distraction to our mission. Folks and guests really like our new roof, we will surely recommend your product! Below are obvious before and after shots, Thank you!
Sincerely,

We looked at another house in our small town that had one that was11 years old, looked like it had just been done!
So we needed roof repairs after losing a large section of our asphalt shingles went missing. The insurance company offered to basically provide us with a new asphalt roof! It sounded great, but we decided to look around and found Interlock Wasn’t cheap, but the insurance payout made it doable. We looked at another house in our small town that had one that was 11 years old, and it looked like it had just been done! Decided to go for it.
Everyone at the company, from salesperson to manager to the incredible roofing team, was so friendly and professional! Our place is an older home with many roof angles; the job took 17 days. We are so so pleased with the result. Lifetime guarantee, great company, house value has soared, and people are slowing on the street to look at it.
Thanks, Interlock.

Why We Chose Maritime Permanent Roofing for Our Aluminum Shingle Roof: A 5,000 sq. ft. Upgrade Built to Last and Ready for Solar
Just north of Halifax, along the lakes and wooded trails of Fall River, Nova Scotia, a homeowner made a decision that redefined what it means to invest in your home for the long haul. Surrounded by freshwater lakes like Lake Thomas and Fletcher Lake and only 30 minutes from the open Atlantic, Fall River is a place where natural beauty meets coastal weather—and that means your roof had better be ready.
Faced with a large, complex bungalow and plans to install solar panels, the homeowner wanted more than the standard shingle patch job. They needed durability, performance, and a roofing system built for the elements. After extensive research and consultations with various roofing companies, they chose Maritime Permanent Roofing, an Interlock Roofing company, and installed a Musket Grey Interlock Slate Shingle Metal Roofing System.
This wasn’t just about colour or curb appeal. It was about picking a roofing system made from aluminum—metal that won’t rust in salty coastal air, resists high winds, reflects heat in the summer, and is fully solar-compatible. The Interlock system, designed and manufactured in Canada, offers a lifetime warranty, so they’ll never re-roof again. This means you’ll save on future maintenance and replacement costs, and you can rest assured that your home is protected in any weather condition. That’s not just smart—it’s peace of mind.
From the first call with Greg to the installation led by Chris and Janner’s six-man crew, the experience was as solid as the product. On a roof with multiple dormers, valleys, ridges, and pitch changes, their professionalism stood out—and the job was wrapped in just four days. This level of professionalism ensures a smooth and efficient installation process, giving homeowners peace of mind.
Here’s what the homeowner had to say, unedited:
The homeowner’s satisfaction is a testament to the quality and performance of the Interlock Roofing system.
In a Nova Scotian community where you’re never far from the ocean, choosing an aluminum roof from Interlock wasn’t just practical—it was essential. For homes built to last, Interlock isn’t just a roof. It’s a decision that sticks. The homeowner’s decision to choose Interlock was not just practical, but also essential for their home’s longevity.

Top 10 FAQ for Homeowners in Fall River, Nova Scotia
What type of roofing holds up best in Fall River’s coastal climate?
Fall River is located just 30 minutes from the open Atlantic and surrounded by lakes—so roofs here need to stand up to salt-laden air, strong winds, ice, and humidity. Interlock Metal Roofing, made of heavy-gauge aluminum, naturally resists corrosion, rust, and wind uplift—making it ideal for Fall River’s environment.
Why is aluminum better than steel for a metal roof in Fall River?
While steel is strong, it’s vulnerable to rust—especially in areas near the coast. Fall River’s moist, salty air can accelerate corrosion. All Interlock Roofing Systems are made from heavy-gauge aluminum coated with the Alunar Coating System, complete with a back coat that will not rust. That’s why Interlock uses marine-grade aluminum in every roofing system.
How does Interlock compare to asphalt shingles?
Asphalt shingles may be cheaper up front, but they don’t last in Nova Scotia’s climate. High winds, snow, and ice can cause curling, cracking, and granule loss—leading to re-roofing every 10–15 years. Interlock’s system comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty and offers a lifetime of maintenance-free performance.
What about cement tile roofs? Aren’t they durable too?
Cement or clay tile roofs are heavy and can crack under freeze-thaw conditions, which are common in Nova Scotia. They often require roof reinforcement to handle the weight. Interlock aluminum shingles are lightweight but incredibly strong, making them a better fit for existing homes in Fall River.
Can a metal roof handle Fall River’s winter snow and ice?
Yes. Interlock’s 4-way interlocking design keeps snow from penetrating, while the smooth surface sheds snow naturally—reducing ice dams and the risk of leaks. It’s built to handle the Nor’easters and deep freezes common to Nova Scotia winters.
Is Interlock Metal Roofing solar compatible?
Absolutely. Interlock systems are solar-ready, meaning they can support solar panel mounting without voiding the warranty or damaging the roof. For Fall River homeowners investing in clean energy, it’s the ideal foundation for a solar-powered future.
What makes Interlock more energy-efficient than other roofs?
Interlock roofs are coated with the Alunar Coating System, a high-performance, reflective finish that help deflect solar radiation—keeping your home cooler in the summer and reducing energy bills. Asphalt absorbs heat, while aluminum reflects it.
How does Interlock compare to rubber roofing systems?
Rubber (EPDM or similar) is typically used on flat roofs and can shrink, crack, or fade in UV and coastal environments. It also lacks the aesthetic appeal and long-term durability of aluminum. Interlock offers architectural beauty and decades of performance.
How does Interlock Metal Roofing improve home value in Fall River?
Curb appeal, durability, and peace of mind all contribute to strong resale value. A metal roof tells buyers: this home was cared for. Interlock’s slate, shake, tile, and standing seam profiles also match Fall River’s high-end, lakefront, and country-style homes perfectly.
Who installs Interlock in Fall River, and are they local?
Maritime Permanent Roofing, based in Nova Scotia, is Interlock’s regional partner. Their team includes fully trained, experienced installers who know local codes and climate needs. You’re working with a Canadian company, installing a Canadian-made product, backed by over 40 years of innovation.
In Fall River, Nova Scotia, your roof must handle salt air, windstorms, snow, and sun—and still look good doing it. Interlock Aluminum Roofing offers unmatched performance, style, and longevity. It doesn’t rust, it won’t blow off, and it’s ready for solar.
Interlock Metal Roofing isn’t just your next roof—it’s your last.
Easy Process, Great Product, and a Flawless Install—No Complaints at All on Our Interlock Metal Roofing in Fall River, NS!
Why Fall River Homeowners Trust Interlock Metal Roofing for Lasting Protection and Curb Appeal
That’s it. That’s the whole review. And if you’re like most people in Fall River, Nova Scotia—you read it and quietly nodded. Because “no complaints at all” might just be the highest praise you can offer when putting a roof over your head.
Especially here.
A place built on water, trees, and trust
Fall River isn’t just a place. It’s a pause. A lakeside exhale between Halifax’s hum and the Highlands’ hush. Tucked along the Shubenacadie Canal and wrapped in a canopy of evergreens, this community is a mosaic of old timber homes, lakefront cottages, and newer builds catching the sun.
But whether your home is 40 years old or freshly framed, one truth holds: our weather doesn’t mess around.
Salt spray floats in from the Atlantic, less than 20 km away. The wind rips through the trees off Lake Thomas. Winters bring freeze-thaw gymnastics. Summers? Heatwaves that bake shingles to dust.
So when a Fall River homeowner says the process was easy—you lean in. Because roofing here usually isn’t.
The right crew. The right roof. The right result.
Enter Maritime Permanent Roofing. And a homeowner looking for something better than “good enough.”
They didn’t want to shop around. They wanted the assurance of a roof that would last.
They are four-way interlocking for high wind resistance, a feature that ensures your roof stays intact even in the most severe storms. This design enhances the roof’s durability and provides peace of mind, knowing that your home is protected against the elements. They are also solar-compatible for futureproofing. They are finished in a deep, matte black that makes curb appeal feel effortless.
But the fundamental transformation wasn’t just the product. It was an experience.
From quote to completion, everything fell into place seamlessly. The team showed up on time, cleaned up every day, and treated the property like their own. And in just a short stretch of sun, the house stood there—quietly transformed.
And that’s the magic: no drama, delays, or debris. Our team ensures a smooth and efficient installation process so you can continue your daily routine without any unnecessary disruptions. It’s just a roof that belongs.
The roof they'll never think about again
The real power of a great roof isn’t what it says—it’s what it silences. No more second-guessing storm warnings. No more patch jobs or heat-blistered shingles. No more wondering if “good enough” will make it through the following winter.
This isn’t a roof that needs explaining. It’s a roof that speaks in stillness.
That’s the Interlock difference. That’s what Maritime Permanent Roofing brings to Fall River and beyond. And if you’re ready to trade stress for certainty, you know who to call.
Because when a homeowner in Fall River says, “No complaints at all,” they’re saying everything.

Homeowners in Duntroon, ON Say Interlock Metal Roofing Is the Only Choice for Beauty, Value, and Service
Duntroon Homeowners Call It: The Only Choice for a Metal Roof
There’s a quiet road in Duntroon, Ontario — nestled between rolling farmland and the edge of the escarpment — where one homeowner decided not to settle.
Not for “good enough.”
Not for “that’ll do.”
They wanted permanent.
And they found it.
“For any homeowner looking at a metal roof, there is but one choice…”
That’s how Ron put it. And really, that’s the story.
Welcome to Duntroon
Perched just 15 minutes south of Georgian Bay and 20 minutes from Blue Mountain, Duntroon sits in the sweet spot — far enough to feel still, close enough to feel connected.
The area is known for long winters, windy shoulders, and humid summers — a climate that punishes roofs year after year.
When you live here, your roof matters.
This Wasn’t Just About Looks (Though… Look at It)
Ron and his family chose Musket Grey Interlock Slate, and it changed everything about the way their home meets the land.
It fits. It belongs.
But this roof does more than elevate curb appeal. It was chosen because:
- Snow slides off clean.
- It’s fire-resistant (peace of mind in any season).
- It cuts down on energy loss in summer and winter alike.
- It locks in with a 4-way interlocking design that handles high winds like it’s nothing.
- And most importantly — it’s the last roof they’ll ever need.
Because that’s the promise: a lifetime warranty, backed by real people like Bruce and the Interlock Ontario team, who answer when you call.
Even if it’s just a small thing.
Especially then.
Why This Story Matters
If you’re ready to stop replacing your roof every 10–15 years and start investing in the last one you’ll ever need, we’re here.

Top 10 Roofing FAQs for Duntroon, Ontario
What’s the best type of roof for Duntroon’s harsh winters?
Given Duntroon’s snowy winters and heavy freeze-thaw cycles, metal roofing is a top performer. It sheds snow naturally, resists ice damming, and won’t crack or warp due to moisture or temperature swings like asphalt can. Interlock’s metal roofing systems are designed to handle these conditions with ease — no more worrying about roof rakes or heavy snow loads.
How long will a metal roof last in this climate?
Most traditional roofs in Duntroon last 12–20 years if maintained. A properly installed Interlock Metal Roofing System, however, is engineered to last 50+ years — backed by a lifetime limited warranty. This is especially important in areas with high wind, snow, and UV exposure like the Niagara Escarpment region.
Will a metal roof make my home louder during rain or hail?
No — that’s a common misconception. Interlock metal roofs are installed over solid sheathing and underlayment, significantly reducing sound transfer. In most cases, homeowners report that rain sounds the same or even quieter than with their previous asphalt roof.
Is a metal roof more expensive than asphalt shingles?
Upfront? Yes. Long-term? No contest.
While metal roofing costs more initially, it typically eliminates the need for future replacements, reduces maintenance, and lowers energy bills. That makes it the most cost-effective option over time — especially in regions like Duntroon where climate extremes accelerate roof wear.
How does a metal roof perform in high winds and storms?
Interlock’s 4-way interlocking panels are rated for winds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) — ideal for Duntroon’s open rural landscapes where gusts can be intense. The design also resists uplift, reducing the risk of storm damage.
Can snow and ice damage a metal roof?
Actually, it’s the other way around — metal roofing protects your home from snow and ice. Snow slides off naturally, preventing ice dams and reducing the weight burden on your structure. Optional snow guards can be installed to manage slide-off areas like walkways or driveways.
Will a metal roof rust or fade over time?
Can I install solar panels on a metal roof?
Yes — Interlock roofs are solar-ready. In fact, standing seam and slate-style profiles provide ideal mounting surfaces without penetrating the roof membrane. Future-proof your home’s energy options without sacrificing protection.
Will a metal roof increase my home’s value?
Absolutely. A metal roof boosts curb appeal, energy efficiency, and long-term durability — all of which are attractive to buyers. For Duntroon homes with acreage or scenic settings, a sleek metal roof like Musket Grey Interlock Slate makes the home stand out while blending beautifully with the landscape.

Will a metal roof handle Blackstock’s snow and ice?
Yes. Interlock roofs are designed to shed snow naturally, preventing dangerous buildup, leaks, or ice dams—common concerns in rural Ontario winters. Snow slides off cleanly, reducing maintenance and the need for roof raking.
Is metal roofing energy-efficient in both summer and winter?

Why Collingwood Homeowners Choose Interlock

Top 10 Roofing FAQs for Collingwood, Ontario
What type of roofing is best for Collingwood’s four-season climate?
With freezing winters, lake-effect snow, spring freeze-thaw cycles, and humid summers, Collingwood homeowners need roofing that resists moisture intrusion, ice damming, UV damage, and high winds. Metal roofing—especially Interlock’s aluminum shake or slate profiles—is ideal, offering durability, energy efficiency, and minimal maintenance year-round.
How long should a new roof last in Collingwood?
Asphalt roofs often need replacing every 12–20 years in this region due to weather wear. Interlock Metal Roofing, by contrast, is designed to last 50+ years and comes with a lifetime limited warranty that’s transferable if you sell your home.
Do metal roofs work well with snow and ice in this area?
Yes. Metal roofing naturally sheds snow and ice, preventing heavy buildup and reducing the risk of leaks or structural strain. In Collingwood’s heavy snow seasons, this snow-shedding ability is a major advantage.
Will a metal roof make my home hotter in the summer?
No—just the opposite. Interlock Metal Roofing systems are Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) certified, meaning they reflect solar radiation rather than absorb it. This helps reduce summer cooling bills in Collingwood’s warmer months.
How much does a metal roof cost in Collingwood?
Initial installation can cost 2–3 times more than asphalt, but the lifetime value is far higher. You avoid re-roofing every 15–20 years, reduce energy costs, and boost resale value. Interlock customers in Collingwood often see it as a one-time investment in peace of mind.
Are metal roofs noisy during rain or hail?
No. Modern metal roofs like Interlock’s are installed over solid sheathing and underlayment, making them no noisier than asphalt. Plus, Interlock’s system is Class 4 impact tested to withstand hail—a key benefit for sudden Collingwood storms.
Can I install solar panels on a metal roof?
Absolutely. Interlock roofs are solar-compatible, with a strong, permanent surface that supports rack-mounted or rail-less solar systems without risking leaks.
Do I need to worry about high winds or storm damage?
Collingwood’s proximity to Georgian Bay can bring strong winds. Interlock’s 4-way interlocking design is engineered to withstand high wind uplift, far outperforming traditional shingles, which can curl or blow off.
How do I maintain a metal roof in Collingwood?
Interlock roofs are virtually maintenance-free. No moss removal, shingle replacement, or resealing. Occasional rinsing or leaf removal is all that’s needed. Snow slides off naturally—no roof raking required.
Is a metal roof right for heritage-style or cottage homes in Collingwood?
Yes. Interlock offers shake, slate, and tile designs in colours like Deep Charcoal or Aged Copper that suit the aesthetic of Collingwood’s heritage districts and modern chalets alike, without compromising on durability or curb appeal.
