The only roof that seemed practical for our needs was the Interlocking roof

5/5

Dear Interlock Industries,

I am writing this letter to you regarding the installation of our new roof. My wife and I were looking for a roof that would last as long as the 40-year-old roof on our house. We looked at all different types of roofing materials, but the quality isn’t as good as it was 40 years ago. The only roof that seemed practical for our needs was the Interlocking roof.

Your sales representative Daniel Adolfson came out to show us your roofing system. After his visit, the interlocking roof seemed like the only solution.
Your installer that was sent to install the new roof was great. He worked the hottest two weeks of the summer, alone installing the roof and making sure the house was watertight every night. He also picked up all of the materials in the yard.

We would recommend this type of roofing system and your company to anyone that is looking for great service and a good product.

Sincerely Yours.

With this roofing - problem solved

Burlington, Massachusetts

5/5

For me, the change to a metal roof is something I have thought about for some time as I have had nothing but problems with new asphalt put on ten years ago. Ice dams and leaks have been a problem from the beginning of which I thought taking off the gutter would help. Next was to pay to have a three foot, a piece of aluminum put in along the length of the roof, result, snow dams above the aluminum strip.

The next thing to try was electric wires, which were somewhat successful, but meant taking down and putting up yearly.

At the age of 54, to be on a ladder dealing with wires and ice dams is okay, but how about 64 or 74. Some new way to roof had to be the answer. In New Hampshire where my brother and I have a summer place, a new cabin was being built and it had the long metal panels which didn’t look to bad but planted. The idea that an option was out there. Interlock was the better choice for a metal type roof and looks better too.

The cost of snow seal and new shingles, stripping off two layers, the cost of recycling in twenty years, led me to see that a non-asphalt does cost more initially, but how about in the long run? Probably not.

With my new Interlock Roof, time spent on the roof, don’t see any need, snow dams, snow slides off. No need for roof rake or wires. Loudness in the rain, not noticeable. Appearance looks great. With this roofing – problem solved, it’s on to other needed repairs.

Sincerely,
Daniel Raske

And, no, we don't hear "pitter patter" when it rains!

Addressed to: Popular Mechanics

I have read your recent issue which included a section about roofing materials. I was surprised your excellent publication did not include information about aluminum metal roofs in that section. We recently had one installed and are quite pleased with the appearance. Our roof was installed by Interlock Industries, based in Vancouver. Their shingles come in many colors and somewhat resemble the look of an asphalt shingle roof.

However, unlike asphalt shingle and other roofing types, our roof has a lifetime, non-prorated, fully transferable factory warranty. It is fireproof, rot proof, energy efficient and can withstand winds in excess of 100mph.
The cost per square foot is more expensive than asphalt shingle but not much more expensive than a 30 year warranted asphalt roof.

Much has been written concerning the rapid deterioration of today’s asphalt roofs and I would suspect your readers would be interested in learning more. And, no, we don’t hear “pitter patter” when it rains!

He went beyond the call of duty to perform an excellent job

5/5

This letter regards the installation of a new roof on our house using your products.

First of all, we are extremely pleased with your product. We would be happy to recommend it as an excellent product.

Next, I would like to commend you on your choice of an installer for our new roof. I do not think you could have chosen a better installer.

From the very first day on the job, it was obvious that Mr. Ritter was a highly competent tradesperson. He pointed out many errors that had been made on the original roofing system. In addition he advised us on the necessary corrective measures. In my estimation he went beyond the call of duty to perform an excellent job.

I feel you company should be very pleased to have a craftsman with such a good sense of responsibility, desire and ability to do an excellent job.

Once again, we are extremely pleased with your product and the workmanship of Mr. Ritter.

Yours truly,

New roof installed by Interlock and very pleased with the professionalism and aesthetics

5/5

I have a new roof installed by Interlock and very pleased with the professionalism and aesthetics. My builder roof lasted 12 years and I needed something more durable. I spent months talking to steel roof installers and the thing that bothered me most, is whether the company will be around long enough to support warranty issues. The coatings were also prone to fading and I was looking for a worry free product. My research led me to select aluminum roofing with PVDF coating for durability and resistance to Color fade. The lifetime transferable warranty and fact that Interlock has been in business for over 40 years led me to contact the company. Interlock staff are courteous and Bruce gave a very fair price with a no pressure quote. My roof has some features that could affect aesthetics and Bruce arranged for special considerations at those locations. The installers were very courteous, and took the time necessary to do a great installation. They respected my views as a home owner and provided regular updates on progress and solutions. The installers cleaned up debris at the end of each day and coordinated with my neighbours to minimize impact from the roofing job. When rain was in the forecast the crew worked tirelessly to complete roofing sections that would be vulnerable to rainfall. Overall I am pleased with everyone’s efforts and now hope the roof will be durable for many years.

The concept of permanent roofing system with a lifetime transferable warranty, will give us peace of mind, as well as increase the value of our property

My Wife and I are very pleased with our new aluminum roof it has been almost four months since Interlock crew in so efficient and timely manner installed it. Some years ago after my asphalt shingles roof No.3, I promised myself never again with the asphalt crap, I HATE IT (Heavy, Flammable, Granules- shedding-eaves-clogging, gone with the wind, etc, etc.).

The concept of permanent roofing system with a lifetime transferable warranty, will give us peace of mind, as well as increase the value of our property.

After some hesitation regarding the cost, looking in retrospect, I believe it -was the right decision to make. The only thing left to do now is to sit, and relax under a maintenance free Interlock roof.

Finally, hats off to the installation crew, very helpful in answering technical question, posed to them on the precautions they took to prevent damage to property, on how clean they daily left the surroundings.

Thank you for making the excellent product

5/5

When my husband Richard said he wanted to put a metal roof on this 1929 English Tudor house, I thought he had gone around the bend, maybe several bends.

After seeing the pictures and hearing about the features, I started to become a convert. Now that the job is down, I know that we made the right decision for several reasons.

First, the black Interlock shingles look so appropriate on this house. In certain lights it even appears to look like slate. Many neighbors and friends have commented on how very attractive it looks,

Secondly, the workmen did such a professional job. They were meticulous at each step of the process and, we are confident, that their craftsmanship was excellent. Each day that they were here they worked diligently and conscientiously making sure that every step of their work was done to the highest expectations. In addition, they were quiet and tried not to interrupt our daily routine.

Third, we are most pleased about all the high quality features of the product: the durability, the appearance, and the fact that it is maintenance free.

Thank you for making the excellent product.

Sincerely,

My new Interlock roof has satisfied me beyond all expectation

5/5

It has now been two years since the installation of metal interlocking shingles on the roof of my residence in Ottawa. As I indicated to the salesman at the time, if after two years I was totally satisfied with the installation and performance of my new roof I would take the time to extol the virtues of the Interlock system.

To date, I have indeed been most impressed with the performance of my roof prior to installation of the Interlock system, I was required to change the asphalt shingles on my roof every eight to ten years. Because I have a low slope roof on my home, I was not immune from the occasional leak between re-shingling jobs. Re-shingling a roof is a major financial investment, and obviously more so when considering an upgrade from the standard asphalt shingles used by the construction industry, Therefore, prior to my decision to accept the Interlock roof system, I had a number of concerns such as fading, longevity, performance, workmanship, appearance, etc. I can categorically state that, to date, initial apprehensions have not materialized. My new Interlock roof has satisfied me beyond all expectation. Besides the leak-free performance of my new root, the next greatest benefit is the appearance of the Interlock shingles versus the conventional asphalt shingles. Homes with the Interlock systems have a much greater aesthetic appearance as attested to by friends, neighbours and strangers passing through the area. This, in addition to the lifetime warranty (50 years on the resale of the home), greatly enhances the marketability of the home on re-sale. To say I am pleased as punch with my new roofing system is an understatement.

I have no objection to Interlock Industries using my endorsement of their product. I have not, nor will I receive any financial or other benefits for this endorsement. Satisfaction and peace of mind (especially when it rains) are my rewards. Thank-you Interlock Industries for a job well done.

Thank you,
