Not likely because of the attitude. But I would agree that the material is the best among other companies I compared with. Communication. After all the issues happened, it was clear to me that Bob, as a salesperson, did not understand the skylight installation process and services options, which may not have been a big issue if the services manager, Tony Lupton, was attentive and responsive to my email inquiry and request. He took one week each time to respond to my email and did not answer my questions specifically. He, then, blamed that I was not clear with my question. This was the main breakdown of the communication between me as a customer and the service provider.So, it was clear to me that Interlock did not communicate well as a team and did not educate the team members thoroughly about service options. As well, communication with customers needs significant improvement. The company can easily take initiatives making sure the customers understand additional preparation needed, i.e. skylight, to avoid miscommunication and misunderstanding. When customer following up, raising questions, it is also important that the service manager makes a note about the type of question being asked. Often, it is an indication that the customer has previous experiences in roofing installation and communication/education is needed in the process. In my personal experiences, I was the one who initiates the emails and questions prior to the agreed delivery period based on the contract and still received no guidance/feedback. The experience was not just unprofessional from the company, it was more than frustrating. Interlock probably did not realize the trouble they had caused to others due to the miscommunication and wrong delivery of the services. Not just the frustration I had during the process, I had also to run to different stores to learn about skylihght installation...Only then the stores told me the roof company was supposed to provide the measurements. Duhhh??? Do you really not know this to begin with?After the wrong delivery and partial installation at the wrong house, Interlock did not make enough efforts to contact the house owner. The house owner was hunting for the cause of the roof issues. He searched around the neighbourhood and was directed to me for clarification and understanding. I felt somehow uncomfortable and embarrassed. Obviously, I did not cause the issue but I was involved to explain and felt apologetic to the trouble that others made. AGAIN, if Interlock had responded to my email and/or made attempts to confirm delivery, none of these issues would have happened.I did not bother to complete the survey at first. I wonder how seriously your company may take about these comments. I also wanted to let you know that I choose this company not because you are really that good (note that you are more expensive compared to others) but because you are a Canadian company. I believe in supporting Canadian companies first....but the experiences with your service delivery were stunning terrible. I hope your company do a thorough review in your services delivery and communication for future improvement.
