The roof\s installation process was not followed in the same manner that was described to me by the sales person, John Turnbull. When I questioned the company (Tony and Trevor) as to why they were not following the installation and inspection process as it was explained to me by the sales person, I was told the expense was too great to send individuals to inspect the process of the installation as it was being done because I lived too far away, which is the exact opposite of what I was told by the sales person, John Turnbull, when we discussed it in great detail because I was extremely concerned about quality of product and installation process. Now that the work is done I am wondering who mislead me, the company that did not follow the installation and inspection process that was described to me by the sales person, or the sales person who sold me the product under false pretenses because we had discussed my concerns in great detail with tremendous emphasis on my concerns regarding the job being done properly. I honestly do not believe my concerns were alleveated with how my roof was installed, in fact, it was quite the opposite. It was extremely stressful situation for me, so much so, that I could not sleep during the installation of my roof, which should not be the case for anyone. The following is an exert from an email I sent to Tony Lupton when my roof was completed. I had called Tony when the installer arrived to confirm how the installation would take place."I am doing a major $400,000.00 reno on my house, and unfortunately, I have been taken advantage of very badly by a lot of contractors I hired to work on my home. And, unfortunately, I have honestly had more than my share or fill of the lowest kind of snake-in-the grass contractors, the worst type of contractors who give contractors a bad name and a bad reputation...the kind who want to take more than their share of your money and not give you the work or job you hired them to do for you in the first place. And, I must tell you, since Hadley arrived on Wednesday, all by himself to install my roof, and I realized how the installation of my roof was being handled, I have not been happy at all since it started. Instead, in fact, I have been seriously worried, stressed out, and literally loosing sleep every night during the installation of my roof. I should not have had to live another stressful nightmare of a situation over this roofing contract because the installation of my roof was not happening according to the same procedure that was so clearly explained to me by the sales man before I agreed to purchase the roof and I signed the contract. John Turnbull knows all about my bad contractor experiences. I was extremely explicit and adamant about the fact that I wanted nothing less than complete reassurance that the installation of my roof would be properly managed and inspected as it went along to be sure the installers did the job properly. I only agreed to purchase the interlocking roof from your company because John gave me the complete reassurance I was looking for by explaining the installation process to me, I was told about the project managers, area supervisors and the inspection procedure for the installation of your roofs, which is not what I was given with the installation of my roof.Since Hadley arrived to do the job by himself and my conversation with you, it has had me worried if I had encountered another unscrupulous contract company who was only interested in getting my money but, not willing, in turn, to give me the same installation guarantee, quality of work reassurance of the installation process that was explained to me before I signed my contract...and the only reason why I agreed to purchase your roof.I am so sorry, Tony, but with all due respect, I need to tell you, I did not get the complete reassurance of the quality of product and installation process that I believed I was buying when I signed my contract, and unfortunately, the travel distance is not an adequate excuse for not providing it when it came time to installing my roof, it is not acceptable to me, in my humble opinion. I questioned John about the travel distance when I signed the contract and I was reassured that it was not a problem because they install roofs all over Ontario. If I had known then, when I signed the contract, that there was a chance that you would not provide me with the same service, I would never have taken the risk and signed a contract for a $20,000.00 roof with no quality of product and installation assurance. And, furthermore, my conversation with you on Thursday, informing me of that fact, was much too late. Your company should have notified me in advance of your intent to not follow your normal installation procedure because of the travel distance and give me the opportunity to back out of the contract if I was not comfortable with the arrangement."Even though you are sending someone to take care of my concerns, I have decided to send you my email that describes the stress and worry I have been under since Hadley arrived, all because my roof was not being installed the way I was told it would be. You work with these roof installations everyday. You know your staff's capabilities and work ethic well, but you may forget that, we the customer, do not experience it the same way. We don't know your company,, your product, or your installers capabilities, so for us there is always a risk of things going badly. This is a very costly product that needs to be installed properly if we do not want to experience problems with the roof installation. We don't want to waste our money on poor construction jobs that result in a lot of problems and damage to our home, and possibly the need to redo the job.No one should have to go through the stress and loss of sleep as I did, all because the company decided to change the process of installation of my roof, which is the only ensurance of quality of product and installation we have, which is not a acomfortable place for a customer to be in when purchasing a product that costs $20,000.00. It may be a good product, it is too soon for me to tell.I may get inquiries about the roof, if I do, I will caution everyone about the installation process that was not followed in my case.Also, i have yet to receive my warranty.

“There was a sincere effort made to finish the roof in 2.5 days. He arrived late Wednesday and got a few hours of work done before it got dark at 7 pm. He wanted to be finished by Friday so he could be on his way back home for the weekend. On Friday night, he spent 2.5 hours working on a chocolate brown roof in the pitch black dark of night with an extremely small light on his head that was not a flood light, it gave a very small direct light to a very small area. Now I am wondering and worried about the section of the roof he was working on in the dark. Was it done properly?When I questioned him about it, he was apparently installing snow guards. Now I am noticing that there are some shining silver spots on the roof where those snow guards were installed and I am wondering if the aluminum finished was scratched and compromised when they were installed in the dark.. Now I am wondering if those area going to rust?”
