What was involved in this Interlock® Slate roof installation in Juneau, AK?
This project used an Interlock® Slate system in Hunter Green on a home in Juneau, AK, completed August 15, 2014. The project covered roughly 20 squares of roofing in aluminum construction. The project started a month later then previously mentioned. It was done in rainy weather, which left the old shingles roof not in the best condition to be covered by another roof, Interlock should be installed on dry shingles in my opinion. Had a problem with my woodstove afterwards, developing water/silicon? at the base of the chimney pipe on the stove. No Interlock person available in town to check and correct if needed. The roof was installed in August, while I was out of town, unable to make correct comments about workmanship, and will have to see how the roof manages through the winter.
