Management communication with the client and less of a pushy sales pitch are what they could have improved on during the project. They should give people a few days after you fill them with information and options, since this is a big project that costs a lot of money and finances need to be figured out. They did a good job. The roofing is great. It looks spectacular. The team was good. It was a three-person team. They worked their tails off and got it done in 1.5 days. The lack of calling when there was an issue on their end could have also been improved during the project. It all worked out. I don't think you can go wrong with Interlock Roofing. They have a great warranty system, and their product is really, really good. I would recommend them to others going forward.

Sales Knowledge

★★★★ Agree
“There were some questionable things that the salesperson indicated. There was something specific that I asked about happening, and he said it was going to happen. However, it was not part of the project. Not that he has anything to do with that. When the crew got here, they said they don't do it that way. I don't know if there is a disconnect between management and the work teams. There was another incident not with him but with management and the work team as well.”

Employees Professionalism

★★★★ Agree
“We had some incidents. Damon was a hard-sell kind of guy. He wanted us to commit that day since he was here. My wife was not comfortable with that. He made it known, and this was to be a sticking point for us. We ended up going with them, but it took a few days of thinking about it because it was such a big commitment. We were not ready to commit while sitting at our table.”

Communication

★★★☆☆ Neutral
“I got a call early in December that said we had a cancellation. Do you want your roof done the week of the 15th? I had setup days off work so I could be home while they were doing the work. Part of that job was installing three skylights, which means you have to cut holes in the ceiling and roof. Yoshi tried to reassure me that I didn't have to be here for them to do the whole job. So I was supposed to leave my house unlocked for this crew to come in while I was not there? I don't think so. She tried to schedule me and told me that.”

Installation Crew

★★★★★ Strongly agree
“The installation crew was great. I had no problems with the crew.”

Clean & Safe

★★★★ Agree
“The job site was kept organized. I have found bits of trim metal piles in my yard since they've been gone, which could cause problems for some people. I have found some staples and bits of the previous roofing that they had to trim off to make theirs fit. There was not a whole lot of debris left, but I found a few pieces in the front yard. I have not been around the whole house yet.”

Professional Completion

Schedule

★★★☆☆ Neutral
“They did the best they could with adhering to the schedule. The lead guy of the installation crew had a family emergency. This is where the communication comes in. They were supposed to be here on Monday, and I was waiting here. I was off, and my wife took off. They were supposed to be here at 10 a.m., but nobody showed up. I called at noon, and then the lady said that this had happened and he had an emergency. Nobody called to tell me. I had to make the call. I found out, and they asked to push it out a few days, so I was able to get more time off. I know things happen because the guy's wife had an emergency. I think the management should have been more upfront and told us about it.”
