  • Precision weatherproof seams (profiles: slate, cedar, shake, tile) and mechanical fastening (profile: standing seam) deliver long-term leak protection during wind-driven rain events.
  • Aluminum is coated with the Alunar® Coating System (no visible aluminum surface) to resist finish degradation from coastal moisture and seasonal UV exposure.
  • Corrosion-resistant panel construction designed for Weirs Beach marine exposure and salt spray from Lake Winnipesaukee, protecting fasteners and roof edges in Belknap County shorefront conditions.
  • Tested to 120+ mph (193+ km/h) wind performance to withstand severe gusts and localized storm winds common on the Weirs Beach waterfront.
  • Snow-shedding panels reduce heavy winter accumulation and lower snow-load stresses on roofs around Weirs Beach and nearby lakefront properties.
  • Freeze–thaw durability minimizes seam stress and coating fatigue during New Hampshire’s rapid temperature swings and spring thaw cycles.
  • UL 2218 Class 4 impact resistance helps protect roofs from hail, windborne debris, and falling branches during seasonal storms.
  • Class A fire-rated available for added protection where ember exposure or structure-to-structure ignition risk is a concern in Belknap County neighborhoods.
  • High solar reflectance and emissivity reduce attic heat gain during summer heat waves, improving energy performance for Weirs Beach homes.
  • Solar-compatible roof substrate supports modern bracket-mounted photovoltaic systems without compromising weatherproof seam integrity.

  • Built to manage thermal movement: engineered clips and seams accommodate expansion/contraction to prevent long-term fatigue.
  • Designed to shed intense, prolonged rainfall events—including atmospheric-river–type deluges—that can drive wind-driven rain and surface runoff at Weirs Beach.
  • Engineered to resist coastal salt air corrosion specifically at lakefront properties, reducing the need for frequent finish touch-ups in Belknap County.
  • Finish and slope geometry reduce moisture retention and inhibit moss growth common on shaded, humid roofs in Weirs Beach.

They could have notified me a couple of days before they were coming instead of calling me the morning that they were on the way and given me a completion date so we would have known when to have the check.

Review: September 14, 2022Completion: August 31, 2022

Overall great experience, disappointed in follow up with noted questions. Cleanup was lacking on the little metal slivers (1 -2”) shards of tile trimmings. Grand daughter cut her foot on these sticking up between boards on upper deck area. Missing screws on edge between siding and roof. Left messages but NO response. Talked to a guy that answered phone, he typed message to responsible person. He said I’d hear back within 24 hours, 6 days ago, no call. See above, they requested photos and I sent them BEFORE the job was ⅔ complete. Called and brought it to their attention but still no follow up to date. Left messages regarding other missing screws, no response. Got my money and went silent. It’s all above

The product is good however the installer needs more english speaking staff so when issues arise they can be dealt with. Have someone with their installation crews that speaks and understands english at times. Not at this time.

Review: October 17, 2024Completion: May 27, 2024

Took the installers three times to get it right. Obvious they were inexperienced. The manager should have been on-site while they were working and he was not. It is still not perfect. Dings in the metal. Some areas are crooked. The Installation was terrible. The crew claimed they were finished but there were nails sticking out and boards hanging down. We were appalled that the installers thought that was a competent job.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Weirs Beach

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Weirs Beach, New Hampshire. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Weirs Beach.

How does a metal roof handle Weirs Beach's heavy snow and freeze-thaw cycles?

Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels shed snow effectively because the smooth, slippery surface prevents buildup—critical when you receive about 148 cm of snow annually. The lightweight design (Shingle at 0.41 lb/sq ft) means no structural reinforcement is needed, even under New Hampshire's typical 100 freeze-thaw days per year. Aluminum's oxide layer doesn't crack or degrade from repeated freezing and thawing like asphalt or wood, so you avoid ice dams and water infiltration that plague traditional roofing in your climate.

Why won't my metal roof rust, and does that matter in New Hampshire?

Aluminum contains no iron—the element that causes rust—so rust is physically impossible. Instead, aluminum develops a microscopic self-healing oxide layer that protects it indefinitely. In Weirs Beach, where you experience about 941 mm of rainfall annually and temperature swings across 100 freeze-thaw days, this matters enormously: while steel roofing gradually corrodes and asphalt breaks down, your aluminum roof's Alunar® 70% PVDF coating (warranted 30 years against corrosion) safeguards both sides of the panel, delivering protection that only improves with age.

Does freeze-thaw damage affect metal roofing in New England winters?

No—freeze-thaw cycles actually highlight aluminum's superiority. With around 100 freeze-thaw days per year in Weirs Beach and roughly 148 cm of snow, materials like asphalt shingles and wooden shakes crack and curl as water enters seams and freezes. Aluminum has zero porosity; water cannot penetrate the panel itself, and the four-way interlocking design prevents water from entering seams. The metal expands and contracts uniformly without damage, and because aluminum doesn't absorb moisture, it avoids the rotting and splitting that traditional materials suffer through your region's harsh winter transition periods.

Can my house support a metal roof, or do I need expensive structural work?

You almost certainly don't need structural reinforcement. Interlock's Mediterranean Tile profile weighs just 0.59 lb/sq ft—roughly 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile—and still installs over most existing roofs without additional support. Even the Shake profile, at 0.58 lb/sq ft, exerts less load than typical asphalt shingles. This matters in Weirs Beach where roof longevity means enduring about 148 cm of annual snow: the lightweight aluminum distributes that load safely across your existing framing, eliminating costly structural upgrades and making metal roofing accessible to nearly every homeowner.

Will my metal roof blow off in New Hampshire wind and storms?

Interlock panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification—well above Weirs Beach's typical gusts around 110 km/h. The four-way interlocking system locks each panel to its neighbors in multiple directions, preventing wind from lifting or separating them. Combined with proper fastening and your region's average wind conditions, this design delivers security that loose asphalt shingles cannot match. You get peace of mind knowing your roof will stay put through the seasonal wind events that challenge traditional roofing across New Hampshire.

Does hail damage metal roofs, and can I get an insurance break?

Interlock metal roofing carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and is warranted against perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This non-combustible aluminum construction often qualifies homeowners for insurance discounts because the roof resists damage that would devastate asphalt shingles. In Weirs Beach, where spring and summer storms are part of the climate, this durability translates to no replacement costs, no deductibles, and potentially lower premiums—making metal roofing financially smarter over the decades.

Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt shingles?

Yes—when you measure the full roof lifecycle, aluminum wins decisively. Asphalt shingles last 15–20 years; Interlock's Guardian Warranty offers a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner, plus 50 years for the next owner if you ever sell. Over 50 years, you'll replace asphalt two or three times; your metal roof requires no replacement. Add the potential insurance discounts, zero structural repair costs (no reinforcement needed), and the local promotion offering no payments and no interest until Spring 2027—plus 10% off installation—and the math strongly favors metal. It's your last roof.

What does Interlock's lifetime warranty actually cover, and for how long?

The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance—the common failures that plague asphalt and wood in climates like Weirs Beach's 941 mm annual rainfall and 100 freeze-thaw days. You're covered for the life of your ownership; if you sell, the next owner receives 50 years of coverage from completion. This transferable promise reflects Interlock's confidence in aluminum's durability and gives you the security of owning a roof that outlasts the house itself, with a warranty that travels with the property.

How much maintenance does a metal roof need in New Hampshire?

Metal roofing requires far less maintenance than traditional materials. Unlike asphalt shingles, which deteriorate in UV and freeze-thaw cycles (100 per year in Weirs Beach), or wood shake that rots and splits in your 941 mm of annual rainfall, aluminum panels are inert—they don't degrade from weather. You won't power-wash, seal, or replace shingles. Routine gutter cleaning and the occasional debris removal are sufficient. The CALGreen-verified design is specifically engineered to reduce maintenance burden, so you enjoy your roof rather than repair it. That peace of mind is worth far more than the minor upkeep asphalt demands year after year.

Is metal roofing better for the environment than asphalt shingles?

Absolutely—aluminum is approximately 95% recyclable, and Interlock roofing ends the cycle of tear-offs and landfill waste. When asphalt shingles reach the end of their 15–20-year life, they're torn off and hauled away; over Weirs Beach's 50-year ownership, that's three roof-to-landfill cycles. By contrast, an aluminum roof lasts your lifetime and beyond. After decades, it's recycled into new products—cans, siding, roofing. You're not just buying durability; you're eliminating the environmental impact of repeated tear-offs while supporting a circular economy. For homeowners who value sustainability, metal roofing is the responsible choice.

Is a metal roof a good choice for Weirs Beach’s climate?

Yes. Weirs Beach averages about 148 cm of snow, 941 mm of rain, roughly 100 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 110 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
