I would caution against this style of roof if they have a steep roof or suggest they include a clause forbidding holes in the purchase agreement. 1. Better disclosure of installation practices which affect perceived roof performance/appearance.2. Develop Installation practices that do not violate integrity of roofing materials. This was quite an experience for us and affected us in ways we could never have imagined. This roof was very important to us and it was a stretch for us to afford so we needed to feel confident that it would keep us dry for many, many years. As an engineer, I am wary of how some materials and practices have resulted in declining durability standards for roofing. I hope that choosing Interlock will pay off for us in the long run. Only time will tell.

Quality Of Workmanship

★★★☆☆ Neutral
“I have concerns regarding the numerous holes that were required for jacks. This practice is sanctioned by Interlock and this comment is not directed at the installers who were following prescribed methods. Jacks are appropriate with shakes and shingles where they can be removed without violating the integrity of the shingle. In my opinion, this is unacceptable for a high-value product. Also, there are too many seams on the drip edge. The longest length is about 8 feet. This is very apparent on the gable end barge boards.”
