The clincher was when the other roofing companies asked why I would put a roof with a 50 guarantee over a roof that was at the end of it's life. It seemed logical that taking the old shingles off and making sure the substructure was suitable for a 50 year warranty roof is good practice. (Especially since it was still less expensive than the Interlock roof)
