I would never recommend Interlock Roofing. Interlock Roofing could have improved on customer service from start to finish. The customer is always right. I am not here for you. I did not ask you to come to my house and take money out of my pocket to put your roof on my house. It is a sales issue. It is not me for you, it is you for me. When you call Interlock, you are calling to an answering center. I wanted to talk to tech support or someone at the manufacturing plant. Al's Roofing is the one that installed Interlock Roofing shingles. 3 month's later, I am still getting riled up. Al is in Minnesota and needs notice before coming to your house since he is states away. He has crews to come out. Interlock Roofing is just a name and not a manufacturer. What is the guarantee that the color won't come off after exposed to UV rays? Mark said that they would send us a visa gift card for any restaurant. John sent a Gift Card that was already used to a terrible restaurant. We received a gift card that had $102 dollars for a remaining balance. It was originally a $200 gift card. That is not a gift card to your favorite restaurant. The first time the materials arrived, the box said Green. Jessie should have made sure it was the right order. They should have fixed it at that point instead of installing the roof. We had to wait 7-8 days for them to come back out and re install the roof, and then at that time fix the Ivy flashing. I talked to Jessie and he said, "the guys install it differently based on the flashing and what you can see. The guys didn't think you would be able to see how they installed it because of a tree." You should get quality people that know how to install the roofing and the flashing. It would be different if Interlock Roofing made the roofing, had their own tech support, and everything. We are still waiting on Al to call back to let us know when they are going to comeback. I should not have to get up on my own roof to identify each bad tile. I think when the tiles were put into the box, they rubbed up against each other and rubbed off the color. It is either a packaging problem or a manufacturing problem. My concern is if it was a packaging problem, then what is my guarantee that the color will last on my roof. Al said that he will back the warranty, but what happens if Al goes out of business. What happens to my warranty? I found the invoice that Interlock charges. $177 sqft per square from Interlock Roofing. How much are you charging the customer? $177 times 15 would be the cost of the materials right there. Are we paying for the warranty as the additional cost? I can easily take that information, go online, and create my own website to bash Interlock. I know how much everything costs, and I wouldn't be feeling this way if it hadn't been for the customer service I received.I feel like we have been screwed from the beginning. I also noticed on the invoice, that Interlock charges the customer for the sign and stand. Why is that? I did ask Al if we were charged for the sign, and he avoided the question and then changed the subject.

Detailed Ratings

Sales Punctuality

★★★★★ Strongly agree

Sales Knowledge

☆☆☆☆ Strongly disagree
“He only had a specific dollar amount for the job and not breakdowns. I wanted to know the price for labor, vs. materials price per square.”

Employees Professionalism

★★☆☆☆ Disagree
“They did show up, but a customer should be able to communicate. I speak English and they spoke Spanish. Communicating with them on the job site was the worst. We couldn't get any answers because their was a difference in the dialect. The supervisor was not on the job site.”

Communication

★★☆☆☆ Disagree
“Trying to get answers from the workers without the supervisor being there was difficult.”

Installation Crew

☆☆☆☆ Strongly disagree
“We had a flat roof along with the Interlock roof. The installation of the flat roof was less than perfect. They did not know how to install the flashing. I had to have them take it off and redo it.”

Quality Of Materials

★★☆☆☆ Disagree
“We are not satisfied.”

Quality Of Workmanship

☆☆☆☆ Strongly disagree
“I was not satisfied with their inability to install the flat roofing and the drip edge of the Interlock roof properly.”

Clean & Safe

☆☆☆☆ Strongly disagree
“I would give it a 0 because when they first came out to install the tile, they had the wrong color. When I made the phone call to John, he showed up and blatantly lied to my face as to why the color was wrong. John and Al did not have a conversation about the roofing. We originally chose the green and then we changed it to the colonial brown. John never filled out the paperwork so that Al would have a hard copy of the change in materials. So Al ordered the green and that is why they started installing that.”

Professional Completion

★★☆☆☆ Disagree
“We are not happy with the results. We are still waiting for Jessie to come out and fix the scratches and touch ups. They promised that they would take drone pictures of the final product. They still haven't done that. Until the project is completed, you will not receive another dime from us. Their is a quality issue with the tiles where the color came off during shipping or manufacturing. That is the biggest disappointment. I pointed out the tiles coming out of the box with Jessie and he said that the guys would not use them. They ended up using them and that is bad customer service and poor workmanship. They don't expect the home owner to get on the roof, and so they just install things. When the Home owner sees something, they don't know what to say.”

Problem Resolution

☆☆☆☆ Strongly disagree
“We have been waiting for 4 months and they still have not corrected the color issue or done the drone pictures.”

Schedule

☆☆☆☆ Strongly disagree
“They didn't call. They just showed up on the job site and we weren't home. Jessie or John said they would call 3-5 days before arriving and they just showed up.”

Likely To Recommend

☆☆☆☆ Strongly disagree
“I would never recommend Interlock Roofing.”
