“Damon was very friendly and put in a genuine effort to connect with us as costumers but he missed the mark somewhat as he repeatedly told us how expensive and grand so many other jobs Interlock does/did. This made us feel like our job was small potatoes, at $22K, which for us is an extreme amount of money, requiring a home equity loan. We also did not care to hear about how much Damon's wife's car cost or the other anecdotes his affluent lifestyle. We were most interested in purchasing an aluminum roof for its environmental/ sustainability factor not because it is the most expensive roofing system out there. I would say he failed to actually see us or read us correctly. The presentation was on the "slick" side and we were told we would be prioritized because of our vulnerable state of roof- no shingles, just exposed wood. Were we misled intentionally to get us to sign?”

“This rating would be zero except Damon was very responsive to our texts and calls. He had to make many apologies for the staff at the scheduling office due to them not returning our calls, giving us a start dates and then no show, no calling us twice. Materials were dropped off in our driveway over a week before starting installation began. We had to physically relocate them to our back porch area so we can use our driveway in the meantime. It felt like pulling teeth to get information about scheduling. We were under the impression that our job would be prioritized because we had done the tear off ourselves and the wood of our roof was exposed. We originally wanted a standing seam style roof but chose the tile option because we were told the installation would happen sooner as materials were on hand.”

“The crew was extremely polite and hard working. One issue we had was the first day they showed up to work they were not prepared to get to work because their work order did not include the fact that there was roof rot issues needing repair before the installation. The crew did not have the supplies or tools to do the repair and therefore they had to leave and postpone the start of the job. The crew was Seattle-based. Our house is located in Portland. This left us feeling anrgy at Interlock for the oversight and frustrated to have the start date postponed yet, again.”

Seems like staffing must be very short or the internal company communication/ processes are inefficient and need improvement.
