“5 days after the roof was completed we had a snow storm. The snow slid off the upper level of our new metal roof in one big chunk (with a very loud and violent crashing sound) and crashed down onto the lower level of the new metal roof, dented it, and smashed up my gutter. We had no warning that snow and ice slide off this type of roof in this way. We were lucky our cars weren’t damaged, as well. We’ve been calling for two months now and they still have done NOTHING to fix or address this. We live in an area where it snows every year and we can’t have this happen every time it snows or gets icy. They should have installed snow guards or informed us that that this would happen when it snows (as apparently, unbeknownst to us, snow normally slides off of metal roofs in this way), and now we can’t get them to address the issue at all. The customer service line seems like a hoax: I called several times and left messages over the course of a few weeks and never once got a response, despite the fact that their voicemail says they will return all calls within 24 hours. I had to start calling different numbers of random staff members to finally get a direct number for someone to help me, and even then they keep saying oh yeah, we’ll call you later. Meanwhile, rain is pouring out of random spots in my gutter and pooling down into the base of my house, and the roof is still dented so I hope it’s still functional in those dented areas.”
