| Spec / Rating | Climate / Risk Factor + What It Solves |
|---|---|
| Wind resistance: 120+ mph (193+ kph) | Extreme wind, hurricanes, storm uplift: full interlocking attachment helps prevent blow-offs, edge lifting, and panel loss in high-gust events. |
| Fire rating: Class A (with proper assembly) | Wildfire, embers, radiant heat, chimney sparks: non-combustible roof assembly provides the highest residential fire protection rating. |

What our customers are saying:
Need someone on site to speak at least some English and able to communicate concerns with project more efficiently
The quality of the product itself and the people you use to install were very informative and high tech. They did a great job. There are no areas where they could have improved. My wife and I are super satisfied with it. It's fantastic and looks great. This roofing system is beautiful.
They could have kept things cleaner and cleaned up better behind themselves.
If he was willing to work with me, I would have considered him more. If they were more flexible, I would have probably steered in their direction.
First, we want to say that Mr. Mike Yaniv was very through in explaining the advantage of your interlocking aluminum roof system. It is truly the way to go today. And the more exposure to this ">type of roofing system, your company will have a very heavy work load. It is definitely the trend of the future. We want to praise Mr. Igor Kurilo - who personally delivered all the material and building permit. There's not many workers in this world today like him who take pride in their work. He found my existing ridge vent system was not working, and replaced each side of the ridge with new plywood and installed the roof venting system. Mr. Yaniv, and Mr. Kurilo together with your Interlock Roofing System has made our home look like a million bucks!
Roofing went well. Then once paperwork was signed the installer was not English speaking so we had a hard time communicating and there was a misunderstanding. Having folks that speak English or translator on site during entire project.
All of the letters of recommendation that were supplied with the proposal were a waste of time and I considered bogus. If I had agreed to your "special program" that would have given me a discount, one of the requirements was that I write a pro-Interlock letter of referral!! That makes all the other referrals (reviews) look suspicious and PAID for.
My wife and I met Mike Furman at the Home Show in Foxboro this past winter. I had asked about the system in other years but got so turned off by the salesperson I never stayed to talk. This year was the first time we’ve seen Mike. We started to talk with him and were readily put at ease. We were so comfortable talking with Mike that we agreed to have him come to our home and really talk business. Mike has a wonderful way of explaining the Interlock system. Not only is he intelligent and professional, but he is also patient. He never talked down to us or over our heads. He was always neatly dressed but not in a stuffy business suit, someone you could relate to. The roofing crew led by Bakha, Alex (a great craftsman!) and the rest were a pleasure to deal with. They were very polite and accommodating. They worked some very hard, long hours to get the job done. They had to work around New England’s typical weather: sun, rain, " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">hail, snow and wind. The weather delayed them a little, but they were soon done with the job. They cleaned up each night before they left, so we never had to worry about getting nails in our car tires. The roof, it’s beautiful! It complements the style and design of our house. My wife said she had never looked at our roof much before, but now she stops in the driveway to admire it. Our biggest concern about it being noisy in the rain was taken care of. Mike was right! You really don’t hear the rain any more than before. About four years ago, a friend of mine, George, from Berkley, MA, had gotten a metal roof. He loved it and always talked well about it. He has been answering my questions about it over the years and invited my wife and me to see it before we bought it. His is the Interlock system too. Since I’ve been talking to George for the past four years about your roofing system, I believe he should be given a “finders fee.” Thank you.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in North Dighton
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in North Dighton, Massachusetts. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in North Dighton.
Will a metal roof hold up to North Dighton's freeze-thaw cycles?
Yes—aluminum actually thrives in freeze-thaw conditions because it has no iron content and cannot rust, so the repeated expansion and contraction that degrades asphalt and steel won't damage it. With about 84 freeze-thaw days per year in your area, your roof experiences constant thermal cycling; aluminum's oxide layer self-heals when scratched, meaning moisture that would corrode steel simply cannot attack aluminum. The four-way interlocking panels also move as one unit, preventing the splitting and cracking that plague rigid materials like slate or tile in these swings.
How does Interlock metal roofing handle heavy snow and ice in Massachusetts?
North Dighton receives roughly 75 centimeters of snow annually, and Interlock's extraordinarily light weight—the Slate profile installs at just 0.41 lb/sq ft—means zero structural reinforcement is needed, even when snow accumulates. The interlocking four-way panel design sheds snow efficiently without creating dangerous buildup. Because the panels are so light compared to traditional slate or tile (which typically require expensive structural upgrades), you avoid costly framing work that many homeowners face with heavy roofing materials in climates like yours.
Can aluminum roofing rust like steel roofing does?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—that's the fundamental difference between aluminum and steel roofing. Instead, aluminum develops a microscopic oxide layer that protects it and actually self-heals when scratched, so moisture exposure doesn't lead to corrosion. This matters enormously in North Dighton, where you receive about 1,194 millimeters of rain yearly and wind gusts can exceed 135 kilometers per hour, both conditions that accelerate rust in ferrous metals. Aluminum maintains its structural integrity decade after decade in wet, windy climates where steel would slowly deteriorate.
Will metal roofing stay on during North Dighton's winter storms?
Interlock metal roofing is warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 miles per hour when installed to specification, which exceeds the typical gusts of about 135 km/h recorded in your region. The four-way interlocking panel system distributes wind load across the entire roof plane rather than relying on fasteners alone, so each panel locks to its neighbors and creates a unified structure. This engineering approach is verified under ICC-ES ESR-1790 (the current building code evaluation standard), meaning your installation will meet all Massachusetts building requirements for wind resistance.
Does metal roofing leak in heavy rain?
Interlock's four-way interlocking design creates an overlapped barrier that sheds water in multiple directions, so heavy rainfall—averaging 1,194 millimeters annually in North Dighton—flows off the roof without pooling or finding seams where leaks begin. The panels nest together so tightly that water cannot work its way upslope; each interlocking point is a dead end for moisture. When installed over a solid deck with ICC-ES–verified underlayment, the system provides protection equivalent to standing-seam metal roofing but with the aesthetic range of slate, shake, tile, or cedar shingle profiles.
Can metal roofing reduce cooling costs in summer?
Yes—Interlock's energy-efficient colors are rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council and deliver thermal emissivity of 0.84 with solar reflectance up to 0.55 (in Aged Copper Penny), meaning they reflect heat that dark asphalt absorbs. North Dighton receives about 3,062 sunshine hours annually, so this reflectance difference compounds over the seasons. Metal roofs stay measurably cooler than asphalt, reducing air-conditioning demand. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating applied to both panel sides maintains these reflective properties for 30 years (measured to ASTM D2244 standards), so your energy savings are durable, not temporary.
Is Interlock metal roofing rated for hail damage?
Interlock carries the highest impact rating available: UL 2218 Class 4, meaning it withstands hailstones up to 1.5 inches in diameter. The warranty even covers perforation from hail at that size, so if severe hail strikes North Dighton, your roof is protected. This rating is significant because impact-resistant roofing often qualifies for insurance discounts—some carriers offer premium reductions on Class 4–rated metal roofs. Since hail events are unpredictable across New England, choosing a roof with this top-tier rating can offset installation cost through lower insurance premiums over time.
What warranty comes with Interlock metal roofing, and how long will it really last?
The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for you as the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. This means if a defect appears in year 15 or year 35, Interlock replaces the material at no cost—you don't pay a prorated percentage. The warranty is also transferable once to the next owner, who receives 50 years of protection from the completion date. In a region with 84 freeze-thaw days annually and high rainfall, this non-prorated coverage means you're protected against the exact wear mechanisms that degrade traditional roofing.
How much maintenance does a metal roof require compared to asphalt?
Interlock metal roofing requires virtually no maintenance—no patching, sealing, or periodic replacement of worn sections like asphalt shingles demand. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating is warrantied 30 years against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214 / D2244), so no recoating is needed. Unlike wood shake roofs, which split and curl in freeze-thaw cycling (North Dighton averages 84 such days annually), aluminum doesn't degrade from thermal stress. With about 1,194 millimeters of rain yearly, you won't deal with moisture rot either. Occasional gutter cleaning is all that's needed—no tear-off, no labor, no surprise costs.
Is metal roofing better for the environment than asphalt shingles?
Yes—Interlock aluminum is approximately 95% recyclable and ends the asphalt tear-off-to-landfill cycle. When an asphalt roof reaches end of life, it typically becomes landfill; aluminum, by contrast, retains scrap value and is processed into new products indefinitely. The lightweight panels (Slate at 0.41 lb/sq ft) install over existing roofs in many cases, avoiding the waste and labor of complete tear-offs. Since Interlock has been manufactured in Delta, BC since 1998, the product has already diverted thousands of tons from landfills. For a climate like North Dighton's—where heavy snow and freeze-thaw cycling accelerate asphalt degradation—choosing a 50+ year roof dramatically reduces your lifetime environmental footprint.
