What our customers are saying:
The company was very informative and efficient, and we are happy with both the aesthetic and practical results. We are also happy to have a greater sense of security about the danger posed by fire, which has been a worry because we live in a forested area far from emergency services. The workers were polite and professional and cleaned up the site pretty well. It was expensive, but we're very satisfied with the work.
Great customer service and communication. Ivan came out to replace part of our roof. He did a great job and very communicative.
Company was very attentive to keep us updated on timing for installation. Weather was not cooperating and installation start was much longer than any of us anticipated but we received calls regularly letting us know they hadn't forgotten us. Once the installation was started it was finished in record time. Installers did a great job. We love our roof. It looks great.
To the Interlock Corporation, What can you say about a home improvement experience such as replacing the roof on your house? From the first contact to the completion of the project, it was the most enjoyable experience a person can have when dealing with a large commercial company. From the initial non-high pressure, very informative sales contact from a Home and Garden show to the friendly, efficient and respectful installers to the final personal contact to ensure we were satisfied with the results and that we were enjoying our new roof. The application and quality of the materials are beyond expectations. We have been enjoying the roof through the winter winds and rain, and hail of the Pacific Northwest. Everyone asks if it is noisy and tinny when it rains. We reply, “of course not! “ It is even quieter than the comp roof we just replaced. We ordered the deep charcoal grey slate. After the rain, while still wet, the roof shines and glistens like real slate. It is a welcoming sight compared to the dull comp roofs of our neighbors. Shortly after installation, there was a wedding up the road from us. We heard from a friend who attended that our roof was the " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">hot topic of discussion since everyone had to drive by our house to reach the wedding. We get many compliments from people who drive by. The installers, while being friendly, are very proud of their workmanship, and we liked the fact that they kept referring to the roof as “their roof”. Hard-working and diligent in the task, they were attentive to every detail. The best onsite reps Interlock could ever have. They were proud of the many years of service working for the company, and that fact, too, lends itself to efficient communication and workflow. The installation happened during the summer during some of the hottest days on record. The installers measured their days, coming early, resting during the hottest times and returning during the coolness of the evenings, doing what needed to be done to get the job done. While more expensive than traditional comp roofs up front, the fact that we never have to replace the roof during our lifetime is well worth it. This house is our forever house, and the best part of our new roof is the fact that my husband will never have to climb up a ladder to clean off the moss that grows so well here in the wet but green northwest. After much investigation and consideration of other metal roofing products on the market, we highly recommend a metal roof, specifically one by Interlock.
Over eight years ago, I needed a new roof on my over 100 year old house and after significant research, decided to use Interlock Roofing. The installers arrived on time, were professional and completed the job as expected.A few months ago, my shop was in need of a new roof and I needed to do no research- I called Interlock, without hesitation. Working with Ross and Mike was very easy. I expected to have the work started sometime in the summer. But then I received a call that there was an unexpected break and that Interlock could start that day. I readily agreed, and the installers arrived by mid-morning. Once again the installers were polite, professional and were finished quickly. They cleaned up the site well. I am as happy today as I was years ago with Interlock. I have since added another project and am eagerly awaiting Interlock to complete it. I have no doubt that I will receive the same great product and professional installation. Positive, Responsiveness, Punctuality, Quality, Professionalism, Services: Roof installation
We recently had our wood shake roof replaced with an Interlock metal roof that resembles the old wood shake roof. It looks fabulous and Victor and crew did a very professional job and removed all debris from the the old roof. We live among a lot of fir trees and with the ever present fire danger it is good to know we have the assurance that our roof is protected. We recommend Interlock Roofing to anyone looking at metal roofing and would be happy to show off our roof to anyone interested. Positive, Quality, Professionalism, Value, Services: Roof installation
Pine needles and more pine needles along with fir boughs each season covers our roof all throughout the year. We are consistently getting on the roof to blow off the needles and clean off the fir boughs. Though the job of cleaning off the roof does not take more than 3 – 4 hours, we were looking for a better way and an easier solution to our situation. Our neighbor was in the process of getting a new roof put on; it was Interlock Roofing Systems. We asked many questions regarding their roof and the options available. Their finished roof looked great. The metal roof in the slate shingles option looked really good. They were very pleased with their roof, the installers, and the installation process. Our sales representatives, Mike and Ross, explained the advantages of a metal roof, the benefits of Interlock Roofing and the installation process, answered all our questions and assured us that we’d be very pleased purchasing an Interlock Roof. Peter and Victor, our installers were personable, explaining their process. We had a couple of snow and ice days prior to our scheduled date, so they had to work hard to clean off and prepare the roof. They worked very diligently in the cold and some days in the heavy rain. Our roof took a few extra days waiting for additional materials to arrive. When it was all done, February 1, 2017, our Interlock Slate shingle roof looked great. We are pleased and are looking forward to years of our beautiful featured addition to our home.
We first learned about Interlock Roofing when researching roofing options on the internet. We became interested in a metal roof due to our constant problems with moss and fir needles. We went to the September 2015 Home and Garden Show to learn more. Interlock had a great display at the show, and the representative cleared up some questions we had. We scheduled an appointment, and within a week Ross and Mike came out and explained their product to us. They brought samples of the different styles and " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">colors of their materials and thoroughly explained how their system worked. They even brought a collection of pictures from previous houses so we could decide the best look for our house. As they were measuring the roof, we watched a video on their company and all of the materials and guarantees they provide. We were impressed by their knowledge and experience. The installation only took about three days. Vladimir and Greg, our installers, were very friendly and worked diligently. They took the time to explain what they were going to do and how they were going to do it. Their craftsmanship really shows on the finished roof! We were extremely impressed when they were waiting on one piece of flashing to be in stock and Vladimir drove all the way from " title="Seattle" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Seattle to install the finishing piece. We can tell they take pride in the work. We ended up with a beautiful roof and several people have stopped to ask about our roof. We had received many compliments on how the style complements our home. Now that we have lived with it for a few months, we are not disappointed with our choice. It looks great, there is no moss, and the fir needles rinse off with the rain. It is quiet even in the worst rain storm and best of all, it will be the last roof that this house will ever need. We will likely save energy costs this summer and will greatly reduce, or eliminate altogether, ever having to go on the roof again. We highly recommend Interlock Roofing to anyone looking for a forever roof that looks great. All of the people that we dealt with were very knowledgeable and informative. They were easy to talk to and there was never a high-pressure sales pitch. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or talk to anyone about our very good experience.
Our home was recently the lucky recipient of a new aluminum shingle roof by Interlock. We are sure that if our house could, it would be singing! So, my husband I and will gladly speak for it. We cannot say enough good things about the quality of our new roof material and installation. From the first visit with the sales team (thank you Mike and Ross) we were impressed with the professional and trustworthy service of Interlock representatives. The whole job took place right on schedule with lots of communication all along the way. The installation crew (thank you Peter!) was hard working, intent on making sure every detail was done to perfection, considerate of our landscaping and a pleasure to have on our property. The finished product: WOW! We love it! This new Interlock roof not only makes our farmhouse and garage look fabulous, in addition, we are so happy to know we will never scrape moss again, not to mention that we will probably never even replace our roof again! The color and style of the shingles are so pretty and we know our home is protected from the elements like never before. We won’t hesitate to recommend Interlock Roofing whenever we have an opportunity. This company has developed a product that really measures up to everything it advertises. Thank you, everyone at Interlock. We loved doing business with you!
We would like to thank Interlock Roofing for the excellent product and service we received when replacing our roof. We began work on our one-hundred-year-old house many years ago and thought that we had always hired competent contractors to complete work that we did not do ourselves. However, when replacing the original tongue and groove eaves last summer, we discovered that our seventeen-year-old composition roof was failing due to poor installation. A relatively small project became a much larger undertaking. Since we live in an area where we have a stand of trees behind us and considerable shade, moss has always been a concern. In an effort to avoid any more issues with a roof, I began researching various alternatives. Then I found Interlock Roofing! I learned more about roofing in a short amount of time than I had to talk with several other suppliers. All my questions were answered and my concerns were addressed. Communication between the sales department and the installation department was top-notch. The crew arrived when scheduled and completed the job in a timely manner. After we considered the job complete, we discovered a small problem. That, too was addressed quickly and without question. If we were to need another roof, we would hire Interlock Roofing again. But the excellent " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty makes that an improbability. We heartily recommend Interlock Roofing to anyone.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Springwater
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Springwater, Oregon. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Springwater.
How does a metal roof handle Springwater's heavy snow and freeze-thaw cycles?
Metal roofs shed snow effectively because aluminum's smooth, hard surface prevents ice dams—the panels simply don't absorb moisture or expand as asphalt does during Springwater's roughly 37 freeze-thaw days per year. With about 220 cm of annual snow and temperatures hovering near 11.5°C, thermal cycling that cracks and curls asphalt shingles won't damage Interlock panels. The four-way interlocking system and standing-seam profiles keep water out even when snow melts and refreezes. Optional snow guards can be installed if you prefer controlled release rather than full shedding.
Will a metal roof stay secure in Springwater's wind gusts?
Yes—Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph, well above Springwater's typical gusts around 116 km/h. The mechanical interlock between adjacent panels creates a unified system rather than individual shingles that can lift or tear. Local wind events won't compromise the seal, and the lightweight design (Slate at 0.41 lb/sq ft) means panels lock together without the stress heavier materials place on fasteners and structural ties. Once installed to specification, your roof becomes more wind-resistant than the asphalt it may replace.
Why should I choose aluminum roofing instead of steel for corrosion protection?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—the element that oxidizes in steel. Instead, aluminum develops a thin, self-healing oxide layer that seals itself when scratched, offering natural protection without ongoing maintenance. Combined with Interlock's Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish (both sides, 30-year coating warranty), your roof is protected against the corrosive effects of Springwater's roughly 1732 mm of annual rainfall. Steel roofs, by contrast, require coatings and paint to prevent rust; once the finish fails after 10–15 years, rust can spread unseen. Aluminum's inherent resistance means durability without worry.
How long will an Interlock metal roof last, and what does the warranty cover?
Interlock roofs carry The Guardian—a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner that covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, and impact loss. The warranty is one-time transferable: the next owner receives 50 years of coverage from completion, a substantial advantage if you sell your home. Most asphalt roofs last 15–25 years before needing replacement; Interlock panels, installed in 1998, are still protecting homes today. When you factor in that this is likely the last roof you'll install, the warranty's scope and transferability add real peace of mind and resale appeal.
Can a metal roof actually reduce cooling costs in Oregon's climate?
Yes, energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect heat rather than absorbing it, with thermal emissivity of 0.84 and initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 in Aged Copper Penny. In Springwater's roughly 3004 annual sunshine hours, that reflectance cuts the cooling load asphalt absorbs on clear days. Metal's high thermal conductivity also allows quick heat dissipation when air temperatures drop—valuable during the region's unpredictable spring and fall weather swings. The Cool Roof Rating Council certification confirms measurable energy performance. Over 30+ years, the cumulative savings in summer cooling and reduced HVAC strain justify the initial investment.
Does hail damage a metal roof, and will my insurance give me a discount?
Interlock aluminum roofing carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. At that resilience level, many insurers recognize metal roofing as a loss-prevention asset and offer premium discounts that can recover 10–25% of installation costs over time. Hail that punctures asphalt shingles or dents tile causes costly repairs; Interlock's non-combustible aluminum and proven impact resistance make it a lower-risk investment in Springwater's severe-weather zone. Contact your insurer with the UL 2218 Class 4 rating to explore available discounts.
Does my home need structural reinforcement for a metal roof?
No—aluminum's extraordinary lightness eliminates reinforcement. Interlock's Mediterranean Tile profile, which replicates heavy clay or concrete tile, weighs just ~0.59 lb/sq ft, about 96% lighter than the material it mimics. Slate installs at 0.41 lb/sq ft. Most homes can safely install Interlock over existing roofing without upgrades to rafters, trusses, or load-bearing walls. This advantage saves thousands in structural work compared to genuine slate or tile, and it means faster, simpler installation. The lightweight design is especially valuable in older Springwater homes where structural modification would be expensive or impractical.
How does a metal roof perform in Springwater's heavy rainfall?
Interlock's four-way interlocking panels and sealed seams shed water aggressively—panels overlap and interlock vertically and horizontally, creating a redundant barrier against Springwater's approximately 1732 mm of annual rainfall. Aluminum's natural hardness resists water penetration; it doesn't absorb moisture the way wood or asphalt do. When installed with proper underlayment and to ICC-ES ESR-1790 code (reissued 2025), the roof handles rain events larger than typical. Unlike asphalt shingles, which can absorb water over 20+ years and develop leaks, metal panels remain watertight indefinitely. Homeowners in high-rainfall regions routinely report zero interior water damage across decades.
How much maintenance does a metal roof actually require?
Interlock metal roofing requires minimal maintenance—far less than asphalt, wood shake, or traditional tile. Aluminum doesn't rot, split, or curl like wood or asphalt; it doesn't degrade from UV exposure the way asphalt chalks over 15 years; and the Alunar 70% PVDF finish resists fading and chalking for 30 years (ASTM D4214/D2244 rated). An annual inspection and clearing of debris from valleys suffice. Asphalt roofs require granule inspection, moss/algae treatment, and frequent repairs; wood shakes invite insect damage and rot, especially in Springwater's 37 annual freeze-thaw days. CALGreen verification confirms Interlock's reduced-maintenance status. The savings in cleaning, repairs, and replacement cycles add up over a 50+ year lifespan.
Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to replacing asphalt every 20 years?
Interlock's higher upfront cost pays back over the roof's life—asphalt replacement cycles cost roughly $15,000–$25,000 every 20 years, whereas Interlock installs once and lasts 50+ years with zero material warranty cost. Current financing offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation, reducing the cash hurdle significantly. When you tally asphalt tear-off labor, disposal fees, and repeat replacements over five decades, metal typically costs less per year than asphalt's recurring cycle. Add in insurance discounts for UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating, reduced energy costs from energy-efficiency reflectance, transferable 50-year warranty value for resale, and avoided structural repairs—Interlock becomes the lower-cost choice over the roof's lifetime. This is your last roof.
