They ripped off my gutters in error and intentionally delayed replacement causing severe damage to hardwood flooring at entryway during weeks of heavy rainfall. Now they are arguing about making the damage whole that was caused by them. I have MUCH to say about their treatment of us and their total lack of response which caused the damage to our home. They did none of the work to try to secure a divert to the water coming down the valleys of the roof onto our entry. They did not put up a temporary gutter when we asked which would have made all the difference and our hardwood entry would not have been ruined. See above comments. I am not pleased with any part of this. David and Joe, both in management positions, are not professionally working with us on the balance still due. They want me to file a claim through our homeowners policy which, when I inquired, is going to raise our premiums. I have offered to pay the balance due minus the flooring bid and other expenses we have incurred during our time to get their error fixed. they did nothing to try to help. Filing a claim through our homeowners policy is NOT what should happen. They need to take responsibility for their actions and let me pay the balance due minus our costs which is not much. We have spent countless hours doing the research and interviews on the gutters and flooring companies and they did nothing. We still will be inconvenienced for 10 days while our hardwood flooring is replaced and finished and we are the ones who will need to move our furniture and pieces out of the work space. This will be tented for 10 days. I would like a call back. I feel our experience with Interlock could have gone well if our gutters were not ripped off and intentionally not replaced for 6 weeks. I interviewed 5 gutter companies and submitted 3 bids to Joe. I chose the cheapest of the 3 bids and that company could start immediately. Joe insisted on using a gutter company he was familiar with and that caused all of the delay since they could not get the OK by Joe and order the materials to be received timely. During that time is when we had weeks of non stopping heavy rainfall which caused all of our issues with ruining our entry.
I’m my case the weather was in our way but everything was fine. No but you guys were supposed to put advertising sign on my yard and didn’t happen.
This is my second roof with them and both times I was happy with the service and product. Everything was done professionally and in a timely manner. Whenever I asked questions they answered them. I am happy with the service and the roof.
Seems like a great product, but the install process was far more difficult and lengthy than it should have been. Sure hope the roof it works as promised once the rain starts up again. It has been a great choice for reducing summer heat buildup!
They could've waited for me to answer their calls before showing up. Everybody was fabulous.
The project had four areas that had to be reworked after product was nailed down.One of the areas of rework occurred after the project was considered complete and was found only because I decided to paint under the eves. An area near the size of a full sheet of plywood was reworked.Paul M did put estimates in the project to cover 3 squares of plywood replacement. There may have been other areas that needed plywood replacement, but since the existing roofing was not removed, it all seemed fine. Paul M had reviewed the potential bad areas from inside the attic space. The installer only did a bounce test to check to see how the roof flexed. I personally do not believe the new roofing should have been installed without removing the architectural three layer, three tab roofing that was on the roof. A couple of areas that I needed to walk on due to painting an area of siding, resulted in permanently bending some of the tiles, even though I was very careful where I stepped or laid down to accomplish the painting. Had the existing three layer roofing been removed, I do not believe the new tiles would have been so vulnerable. In one area on the attached garage, the top 4 layers were all lined up vertically. If I could attach a picture I could show you the alignment.
They fell short in not explaining that the down spouts were not included in the process. Vlad, did come back afterwards to double check the job. He also came back on his own time with a metal detector and went through and cleaned up everything. I was very impressed with him.
We had a hard time getting someone to come out to give us an estimate. We called multiple times seeking a list of houses we could go see an actual roof on we never received that list even though it was promised more than once. My wife finally got a hold of someone who gave us Jon Browns number. Once we got in touch with him the process was smooth. We had a hard winter and we had a lot of snow and downed branches. I don't think my old roof would have survived, the interlock roof performed better than I could have hoped. So glad I got this roof.
