To tear off … or not. That is the question.
Here is what we tell our customers when asked if they need to tear off their old roof or not.
No. You don’t always need to tear off.
As long as there is no damage, mold or degradation that might cause any future problems, then you don’t have to tear off your old roof.
“Isn’t it bad if you don’t?”
No, it isn’t.
Once we have inspected your old roof, and we are comfortable that not taking off your old roof won’t be a problem, then we both can rest assured that it will be fine to re-roof right over your old roof.
This will not be the case for everyone, so an in-person inspection is definitely required.
This will be a case by case scenario, but for some … we can re-roof right over your old roof.
