I was extremely disappointed by the quality of the crew. Jim led me to believe that this would be a professional crew hired, trained and supervised by Interlock. I feel I was misled by that description, and I was not made aware that there is no supervisor here in Edmonton. They were polite and helpful, but the Colombian crew barely spoke English, and the supervisor was only on site after I complained about the quality of the work. Came all the way from Calgary for an hour. Said he would show up and guide the crew member on what needed to be corrected, but I never saw him again. My $22000(!) roof has tiles that were clearly walked on, on one side of the roof the tiles are not lined up straight, and I, who have never installed a roof in my life, could make suggestions as to how you could have avoided walking on the installed roof. But the crew obviously didn't plan the roof well, and the supervisor wasn't there. This roof cost over 3 times what I could have had a 25-yr. architectural shingle roof for (contrary to Jim's claims). I'm sorry I called you, but there's not much I can do now. There was snow on the ground, granted, when they did the work. But many nails, shingles and pieces of aluminum were left behind, no supervisor was here, and no one came back to clean up after the snow was gone. I don't recall seeing anyone working with safety ropes, but I didn't follow the construction that closely, since I assumed that Jim was telling the truth about the quality of workmanship, and I assumed a supervisor would be here regularly to check. Did I mention $22000?The supervisor came by after we called, and talked me out of complaints I had. On further thought, it is clear to me that my roof can't be that difficult to get right, since there are many similar roofs all over Edmonton. It is clear in my mind that the job was poorly planned, unsupervised in its entirety, employed a green crew, and relied on the fact that I wasn't going to go up onto the roof to inspect it. I can't imagine that the supervisor or Jim would accept this quality of workmanship, but of course it would be costly to fully correct my problems, so it's cheaper to talk me out of them rather than fix them. To correct the problems, the walked-on tiles would have to be removed and replaced, and the misaligned part of the north slope would have to be removed and correctly aligned. Costly for you, but did I mention $22000?Received several calls about start, all but one were in error, no calls to indicate the start date was moved. Materials were delivered in fall and took up space in my garage all winter. $22000 and I had to bomb the boxes into the garage and provide free storage all winter. Not professional.Poor installation quality, complete lack of supervision, misleading sales pitch. Where couldn't you have improved?Wouldn't tell anyone I care about anything at all about your company. And my name is Dwayne O, not Dwayne C. See above. Installation quality, supervision, misleading sales pitch. Where couldn't you have improved?

Employees Professionalism

Communication

★★☆☆☆ Disagree
“Was called several times to tell me they were going to start, but they didn't actually arrive till several months later. Recognize that there were weather issues around snow and all, but my garage was filled with materials all winter, and I never did get a call saying they weren't in fact coming.”

Installation Crew

★★☆☆☆ Disagree
“My $22000(!) roof has tiles that were clearly walked on, on one side of the roof the tiles are not lined up straight, and I, who have never installed a roof in my life, could make suggestions as to how you could have avoided walking on the installed roof. Quality Of Materials

★★☆☆☆ Disagree
“There are places over our deck that don't have the snow stopping brackets installed, and the finish above our new bay window looks shoddy. Supervisor says it's the window installer's fault, but it didn't look shoddy after the window installers left. It looks terrible now, and the supervisor suggested that I needed to contact the window installers. You charged me $22000 for a new roof, and I'm supposed to chase down my window installers when it looked fine after they left. Yes, perhaps the window installers should have installed siding materials differently, but I'd suggest that Interlock might take a professional approach and have somebody available who could make it look right, even if it's a siding issue.”

Quality Of Workmanship

☆☆☆☆ Strongly disagree
“I am not at all satisfied. I'm not going to recommend you to anyone. I think I was over-charged, the job was entirely unsupervised, poorly planned and poorly executed. All for over 3 times the cost of a conventional roof. I'm leaving your sign up so people can see who did the shoddy job. Thanks to Jim for coming by and re-staking the sign after the snow drifts were gone. I guess he realized that he was done earning money from us, so he didn't bother to stop in to ask what we thought.”
