Interlock installed an Interlock® Shake system in Colonial Brown on a home in Richmond, BC, completed June 22, 2015. The project covered roughly 9 squares of roofing in aluminum construction. Jacoba D. rated the work 5 out of 5 in an independent survey conducted by GuildQuality on October 15, 2020. Schedule scored 5 out of 5, with the homeowner noting: “They were actually quicker than anticipated.” The roof has been in place 11 years and remains under Interlock's lifetime limited warranty.
The product is excellent, but the installation of the flashing below a north-facing window was not installed correctly, resulting in leaks when it rained and wind was blowing from the north. The flashing was buckled and caused rain to pour in from the north side of the house, coming in through the pot lights in my downstairs family room. After a ridiculous amount of communication back and forth, it was finally fixed 2 1/2 years later! I had to pay for my own home inspection, which Interlock should have paid for. The final fix took approximately 45 minutes (from a part-time employee, who knew what he was doing).
