Many areas. When we were given a price by Dave Brown, at our place, it was a hand written the price for cedar shingles, when I asked for an official written quote, I was given a price for the slate product. When I told Dave that it was not what we discussed, he said the price may change. That did not give me that fuzzy feeling at all. When the second quote came in it was the price as discussed. Dave told me then, that someone would contact me. A month or so later we came home one day with a message saying that the material would be delivered the next day. No one had contacted us to schedule the work or this delivery. I was able to call the person back and cancel the delivery. I called the number of the install manager, Tony, I got his answering message and left a message at two different occasions, no reply. I finally got through by going to the receptionist. I scheduled the work with him to be done the second week of September. He said someone would contact me. A week before I talked to him again to see if we were still scheduled for the second week, and he said yes, towards the end of that week. He said it would take them two to three days to do the work. By the Thursday of that week I called again and ask when they would be coming since no one had contacted me. He said tomorrow, the Friday, someone would contact me and they can do the work in one day. I did get a call that evening, a guy named John. He said his son, John, would be at our house the next day. Three workers showed up the Friday and of course it took them three days to complete the work. The workers were good but I found nails in our laneway, on the side of our laneway and in our neighbour's lawn, two handful of nails. There was also a lot of pieces of paper that came from under the existing shingles scattered here and there on or property and the neighbour's. I also found it a bit odd to have to fill up a form in front of the workers that asked questions about the workmanship and then hand the form over to the workers. Not a very good fuzzy feeling at all!Jean-Guy Jacob
