“He was very knowledgeable of the product and of the company. He explained the warranty about the product and the fact that the company has its own installation crew, not third party installers. He explained to me and my wife that the warranty and the specialized installation are among the main reasons why the cost is so high for Interlock roofing. I wanted a product that I could rely on and a company that would stand behind his product too,by providing such a great warranty. Those are the reason why I made the decision to pay $25000.00 for a an aluminium roof. I am a blue collar worker. I work days and night to support my family. I thought I was making an informed decision after the presentation. I wanted an aluminium roof and nothing else. Interlock roofing was to me the only company a homeowner would want to deal with regarding steel roofing.”

“After purchasing the roof back in April 2018, I provide a deposit of $2500.00 on the spot with a credit card. I was taking possession of the house in June. I talked to head office 1or 2 weeks later we agreed to have installation in September. By end of June I called office in Toronto and I asked if they could install earlier like in July. The installation manager told me that he already booked my installation for August. He told me that his crew was in the northern of Ontario and he will try his best. He said that he will call me to let me know. A week later I called again and left a message asking the installation manager to contact me. I t started to rain and I could see water leaking through the roof in the garage. I got no phone call back. I called again by end of July since I had no answer regarding the installation. The next day I got a voicemail message from Allan saying they were going to deliver material for the roof the next morning between 10 and 4 PM. My wife and I waited all day on alert expecting a delivery. I went to work at 6 Pm. Around 10:30pm she said she heard a truck in the area and it was the delivery. She accepted the delivery. I would have not accepted the delivery if I was home.There was no way to inspect anything and it was not a time to do business. I have 2 little kids at home and my wife was at home alone with the kids. There was no light in the front yard. Remember we just moved into the house. The house needs a few repairs and the roof was the most urgent one in my eyes. In the morning when I arrived at home I put 3 long boxes that were not covered in the garage to keep them out of the rain. I called the installation manager and no answer regarding the date of the installation. I called Chris and he told me that that the installation should happen within 2 weeks since they have already delivered the materials. Third week of August I called the Toronto office and left message for installation manager. I received an email from him stating that the installer will contact me to provide me with a date. A week later coming from work I saw a truck in the driveway, I thought they were electrician since I was dealing with electricians. I asked who they were and they said they were here to install the roof. I asked them when they knew they were coming , they told me that they contacted them this morning. They told me they came from Cornwall, ON (They are third party contractor). At that point, I became very frustrated with the the whole situation. I agreed to pay all that money to have a proper installation. Only one of the 3 person who were there could be have been a roofer, he was covered with tattoos and was wearing a safety harness. There was a girl and she was between 18 and 22 years old. She had no idea what she was doing there. She had purple hair and skinny jeans. The third person was wearing crocks and a red a grey hat saying Interlock roofing on it. After observing all that . I called the installation manager and I asked how I could cancel because of the fact that I am not getting what I agreed to pay for. I work hard for my money and did not get it from an inheritance or the lottery. I called Chris he said that I would lose my deposit. The installation manager told me that he submitted the request that I asked to cancel and that he would contact me. The next morning while at work, my wife called me and asked me if I spoke with someone at Interlock roofing because someone is at home picking up the material. I explained that I would not let the material go anywhere until I receive my refund. I immediately called Chris and he said that I am wasting my breath. I called Toronto Head office and I could only leave a message. My wife talked to Tony and he explained that the deposit will be mailed to us. I refused to let the material go because not once ever made an effort to contact me but when I cancel the NEXT DAY EARLY IN THE MORNING someone was there to pick up the material. He did not knock at the door, he just showed up and started to pick up the material. He managed to take with him a skid full of material. there is another skid at home. 2 WEEKS ALREADY PASSED BY AND NO CHECK AND NO PHONE CALL. I called Toronto head office, they said they will call me back but no one ever call me back.”
