Well, the time had arrived – we needed to replace our shake roof, what to do, what to do!

After perusing the options, we called Interlock Roofing and a young man (young to us) named Colin came to the house with facts & figures and some really great samples that included a black shake style that caught our attention.

Interlock Roofing makes a great permanent replacement for old moss ridden, algae eaten cedar shakes, and it was just too attractive to pass up so we signed up…

The roofing crew were a delightful, friendly foursome (Interlock trained for correct installation of patented roofing system) who promptly answered any questions we had, they were meticulous in their installation and every evening, they picked up every piece of leftover stuff so our yard always looked neat at the end of the day.

We are very pleased with the Interlock Roofing System that you recently installed on our 761 E.12th street property. We chose your product for it’s Clean, Contemporary look, Durability and Quality. Your installation Manager, Todd Jones, was always available for consultation. His professional approach and product expertise ensured we got what we needed to complete this Custom Design Roof, on time and within the budget.

As you are aware, our home is a West Coast Contemporary Design; constructed of post and beams, glass and cement; with a roof line that looks simple but is, in fact, unique and complicated. It has 2 vertical floating wings with a flat horizontal overhang between them, all rising to the peak. The roof, then, drops back over the remainder of the house with large overhangs over several decks. All sides are visible from the street. We needed a product that complimented this design and looked good from all angles.

Your installer, Mike Hayes, was excellent. His knowledge, workmanship and attention to detail made this roof a SHOWCASE for your product and our home. Many of our tradesman and all passersby have commented on the quality of work and your roofing system. All the comments are positive. It looks wonderful.

We are so happy with our new roof! We have received many comments from friends and family about how great it looks!

We want to thank you for a job well done. We expected a big mess with the old roof coming off and the new roof being put on. Santiago, the foreman on our job was amazing. His team worked quickly on both the house and the garage. Pulling off the old roof was a big job, but his team got it off in record time. They were also careful to pick up all debris and leave the area around the house looking clean after they finished. Santiago would answer all questions and even had my husband on the roof to look at how the installation was going.

The roof was put on in the spring. We were anxious to see how it would affect our cooling bill in the summer. So far this year, we have had some weeks of extremely hot temperatures. Our attic area has been much cooler than in past years! Our bill is lower than last year at the same time. We are impressed! We are looking forward to comparing the winter last year to our winter this year where the heating is concerned.

It was time to re-roof my house. Although I wasn’t sure if I was going to stay, sell or rent my home I decided a “life time” roof would benefit me in any case. My decision was sound. The roof is beautiful to look at and I get compliments from neighbors all the time. One of the aftermaths of a very heavy rain or hail is the sludge sediments from an asphalt roof that accumulates in the gutter – this is a thing of the past now.

This is the first winter with the new roof and I’m anxious to see if there’ll be a cost savings in my heating bills and conversely a cooler house in the summer but I don’t see any reason to question Interlock’s claims regarding improved home efficiency. There was no sales pressure tactics or gimmicks just a courteous professional who visited my home at the prescribed time and quickly drew up an attractive contract. The installer also performed flawlessly and professionally and completed the installation in the prearranged time line.

I wholeheartedly recommend Interlock and their products. You’ll have a life time of pride of ownership as well as being the envy of the block.

Following the installation of our new Interlock Roof (Slate Style in Green Colour) in late summer 2010, we are pleased to report that we are completely satisfied with the look and appeal of the new roof in addition and more notably with the quality of the product (Energy Star Rating) and installation.
