What our customers are saying:
Thanks for a very positive roofing experience! Our new roof is so beautiful we’re thinking of charging a fee to all the gawking neighbors that stop by to admire it!!! This was fun, positive experience from start to finish. Our sales rep spent three hours at our home going over every possible detail with us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions. As you can see by the pictures we have a pretty basic roof. There was no tear off to do; still, our three installers were 80% done on the very first day! Everything was done and cleaned up to our satisfaction by the end of day two. Our installers were friendly, courteous and hard working. I watched them for a few minutes as they all worked like a finely tuned machine installing our roof in perfect rhythm. For us, Interlock meant that the third time was the charm. We’d tried to do business with two other companies. The first took a large amount of money as a down payment and gave absolutely no customer service for two months. We got our money back and started over. The second company gave an inaccurate bid. Needless to say, we entered into this contract with some trepidation. interlock is a fabulous company and we’d recommend them to anyone in the market for a new roof!
We are writing this letter to show our appreciation for the wonderful job that was done on our roof. From the date your company representative met with us in our home to the date of completion, words cannot express how completely satisfied we are with your company. We definitely wanted a quality roof and were very impressed by the representation that was given to us. The product you provide was enough for us to make our decision, however it was a huge plus not to have to deal with a pushy salesman and to have such polite, friendly and hard working men providing the service. It was a pleasure to have them around our home. The quality, craftsmanship and lifetime warranty of this roof far outweighs the increased costs over other roof systems. However, other roof systems don't come with lifetime warranties and many only last for 8 to 10 years. We may have paid a little more initially, but how wonderful it is to know we will never have to re-roof our home again. And in addition to all of the above, it looks so beautiful and has added so much style to our home. I never dreamed a roof could make such a difference. Again, Thank you so much and be sure to know we will highly recommend your company to all of our family and friends.
I am very pleased with the entire experience with Interlock Roofing. Ross did a fantastic job of showing me all of the options available, and explaining how Interlock is different from other roofing. This was not a hard sales pitch. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable a metal roof was. I had five other estimates for a traditional composite roof, and the price difference for a forever roof was negligible considering all the benefits. Next, the installation. These guys were amazing! Only two guys doing the demo and reroof, but very hard workers and did a fantastic job. It seems rare these days to find skilled tradesmen that take pride in their work, and these guys exceeded my expectations. I also took advantage of Interlock’s financing. Drew was very helpful and accommodating. The whole process was taken care of through Interlock, making it super convenient and great communication throughout. I will highly recommend:)
We just wanted to let you know how thoroughly-pleased we are with our new Interlock Roof. It is absolutely beautiful and we have had a lot of people stopping as they walk or drive by to admire how nice it looks. Everything progressed on the job exactly as you had shared with us when we signed the contract. There were no surprises. From the beginning when we got the call to set up a start date, to the final clean up and retrieval of the waste bin everything was handled so professionally. Viktor and Alex were a dream to work with-so-pleasant and each day everything was left so tidy that it would have been hard for guests to tell that we were in the middle of a re-roofing job. We will highly recommend your product and doing business with such a professional and obviously well run company.
I have already recommended them. Those guys were amazing. Peter, Victor, and the other installation guys were just unbelievable. It is a great company, and they did a great job with my roof. I get compliments all the time. It was a wonderful experience. They did a wonderful job on the house. It looks fantastic.
Interlock Roofing is amazing. From the first day I met their salesman to the day they started work on our barn and house. They were very easy to talk to and express our concern about how important it was to keep our hay safe from rain and the ground around the barn safe for the animals. They were fast exceptionally clean and so much fun to get to know. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone who wants to have a roof that will last a life time. Thank you for an amazing job and two beautiful roofs!
My wife and I want to express our complete satisfaction with the "Aged Copper" roof your firm installed on our "Barn-house" and gazebo. The two roofs have a high quality appearance and they enhance the looks of the property. We are looking forward to many years of satisfaction. We are now planning to re-paint the house with a color to better blend with the roof. The work performed by your installers was outstanding. They were friendly and very professional. They worked efficiently and energetically, and it was obvious they had the skills to do the job. Thank you for being such an excellent firm.
My husband and I would like to thank you for coming to our residence and explaining your product and all of its advantages. We were very impressed at this time and excited to start the beautification process of our home, which has been in my husband’s family for 5 generations now. It has undergone many remodels, upgrades, and changes throughout the years with a lot of help from friends and family. We will be celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The new roof is definitely a wonderful way to do so! The whole Interlock family was friendly and extremely easy to work with from the beginning of this process to the end. The job was started on time and finished when promised. We are very pleased with how smoothly the project went and very thankful that we were not the ones on top of the house!
HELLO! I am Gerry from Olympia, Washington. A few years ago, I had my re-roofing done by INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for my house here in Olympia. I would like to thank the INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for the best, beautiful metal roof I ever had; the color choice never changed in spite of the weather condition here in Washington. So, if you want your home to deserving a thorough, keen, professional touch, quality, and professionalism, I would highly recommend INTERLOCK LIFETIME ROOFING SYSTEMS for your COMPLETE METAL ROOFING.
We both work for Nordstrom and have come to expect a certain level of customer service. Both Paul and Ross were exceptional in this regard. They were knowledgeable friendly and very thorough! I would highly recommend interlock for anyone looking into metal roof options.
The roof is absolutely beautiful and compliments our home. The work was fast and professional. Communication about scheduling. Clean up of job site. We absolutely love the roof.
We were extremely pleased with Interlock Roofing as our selection to install an aluminum roof on our house and two outbuildings. The installation team were extremely hard workers and were always courteous and conscientious and left our project very clean. We would highly recommend all of them to anyone interested in a new roof including Paul Wright and the administration staff. Ron and Joanne Quiring nothing

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in McLane
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in McLane, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in McLane.
Will a metal roof handle McLane's freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or warping?
Yes — aluminum's crystalline structure and flexibility mean it expands and contracts through freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or permanent deformation. McLane experiences about 58 freeze-thaw days annually, cycling between 0°C and above, which would crack brittle materials like slate or concrete tile. The roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) was specifically chosen for this resilience. The self-healing oxide layer protects against moisture infiltration during these transitions, eliminating the ice-dam-driven leaks that plague asphalt roofs in similar climates.
How does a metal roof handle McLane's heavy annual rainfall without leaking?
Four-way interlocking panels shed water faster than overlapped shingles, and the system is engineered for the region's typical 1348 mm annual rainfall. Water cannot pool on the slope; it flows immediately to the gutter. The interlocks themselves act as a secondary barrier—water runs along the panel face and down the seams rather than through them. Solid deck plus Interlock's approved underlayment creates the same leak protection as asphalt, without the risk of granule loss or wind-driven rain bypassing shingle edges.
What happens to a metal roof during McLane's winter snow season?
Snow slides cleanly off a metal roof's smooth surface, reducing snow load buildup that can strain rafters—especially important where average annual snowfall reaches about 34 cm. Unlike asphalt shingles, which trap snow and ice, metal accelerates melt cycles and reduces ice-dam formation. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels resist the upward pressure of expanding ice. Optional snow guards allow you to control slide timing if desired. The light weight (Shingle profile: ~0.41 lb/sq ft) means even heavy wet snow adds minimal structural demand.
Can Interlock metal roofing stand up to Mason County wind gusts?
Yes — Interlock panels are warranted to resist sustained winds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. McLane's typical daily-max winds average 17 km/h with gusts reaching about 110 km/h, well within this rating. The four-way mechanical interlock (not fasteners alone) distributes lateral forces across the entire roof assembly, preventing edge lift or panel separation. This redundancy matters in coastal and valley wind corridors where individual gusts can exceed seasonal norms.
Why doesn't an aluminum roof rust, and why does that matter in Washington?
Aluminum contains no iron, so it cannot rust in any climate. Instead, a microscopic oxide layer forms instantly on bare aluminum and self-heals when scratched—a passive protection mechanism that works indefinitely. In McLane's damp, 1348 mm-rainfall environment, traditional steel roofing slowly oxidizes; aluminum remains chemically stable. The Alunar® 70% PVDF coating (both sides, 30-year warranty against chalk and fade per ASTM D4214/D2244) adds a second barrier in salt-air or industrial moisture zones. This dual protection means zero rust-through risk over the roof's life.
What warranty comes with Interlock metal roofing, and how long does the roof actually last?
The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner—covering rust, rot, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion. In practice, Interlock aluminum roofs outlast the buildings they protect; the coating is warranted 30 years, and the substrate is chemically inert. Real-world installations (operating since 1998 in salt-air environments and an Antarctic research station) show no material degradation. You're buying a roof that outlasts typical home ownership cycles.
Can my home's structure handle a metal roof, or do I need reinforcement?
No structural reinforcement is needed — Interlock's light weight (Slate profile at ~0.41 lb/sq ft, Mediterranean Tile at ~0.59 lb/sq ft) is about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Most homes can accept this load without modification. A real concrete tile roof weighs 12–15 lb/sq ft; the equivalent aesthetic in Interlock aluminum adds only a fraction of that burden. This allows installation over most existing roofs without tear-off or structural upgrades, cutting labor cost and keeping asphalt debris out of landfills in one step.
Is a metal roof truly more environmentally responsible than asphalt shingles?
Aluminum roofing breaks the asphalt tear-off-to-landfill cycle. Interlock panels are approximately 95% recyclable at end of life; shingles are not. Over a 50-year timeline (the transfer warranty term), one metal roof eliminates the need for 2–3 asphalt replacements. That means no fiberglass and bitumen waste, no virgin petroleum extraction for multiple rounds of production. CALGreen verified for reduced maintenance, Interlock also cuts ongoing energy use through high solar reflectance (up to 0.55 in Aged Copper Penny, energy-efficient). Longevity itself is sustainability.
How long does installation take, and can you install over my existing roof?
Installation typically takes 2–5 days depending on roof size and complexity; no multi-week disruption. Yes, Interlock installs over most existing asphalt or tile roofs—no tear-off required. Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. has served this region since 1997 and knows McLane's building codes (ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation, reissued 2025) and local weather patterns. The lightweight aluminum means no structural concerns when layering. Current promotion: no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off metal roof installation—making the decision to upgrade immediately practical.
How does the lifetime cost of a metal roof compare to asphalt over 50 years?
A metal roof is the last roof you buy. Asphalt shingles fail in 15–25 years in McLane's 1348 mm-rainfall, 58 freeze-thaw-day climate, requiring two or three replacements over 50 years. Each replacement means labor, tear-off waste, and disruption. Interlock's Guardian Warranty (lifetime for original owner, transferable 50 years) and chemically inert aluminum mean no material replacement. Energy savings (energy-efficient, up to 0.55 solar reflectance) reduce cooling load in the 3155 annual sunshine hours. Financing at no interest until Spring 2027 makes upfront cost manageable while protecting against future replacement cycles.
Is a metal roof a good choice for McLane’s climate?
Yes. McLane averages about 34 cm of snow, 1348 mm of rain, roughly 58 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 110 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
