High quality, good looking product. Durability will be the real test. My only caution to potential clients is to stay on top of the contract details and any changes agreed upon by the installation manager, ideally with a contractor if you already work with someone on other home projects. Communications. I got the impression throughout the project that the communication was poor between the sales rep, the installation manager and the installation team. When the contract was signed, the sales rep over-estimated on materials to make sure there were enough and he said I would be charged for the actual amount used. When I was given my final bill (9 months after contract signing) I was initially charged the estimated amount. I financed the project and given the timelines I needed to re-apply for financing. I only picked up the difference dealing with the head office. I'm still not sure if it was just an oversight or intentional as it was not directly acknowledged, but I was charged the lesser amount. A month after contract signing I changed the number of skylight to be installed with the installation manager. This was never passed on to the installers, but in the end they did the work. Fortunately I was able to be there a lot of the time while the work was ongoing, otherwise they potentially would have had to redo some of their work. I made it clear it was my intention to finish the attic down in the future. When the contract was signed the plan was to apply spray foam to the underside of the roof deck. After meeting with the installation manager with my contractor present, the installation manager stated we could not spray insulation on the roof deck (hot roof) and soffit holes would need to be drilled for conventional venting. This was not passed on to the sales rep for contract amendment or to the installers. At the end of the project the company did not want to drill the soffit holes for the venting, because it was a lot of work and it was not in the original contract. I did get a letter from the installation manager stating I can spray foam the roof deck without voiding the warranty. Better communications could have avoided this situation.
