What was involved in this Interlock® Slate roof installation in King City, ON?
This project used an Interlock® Slate system in Deep Charcoal on a home in King City, ON, completed April 29, 2020. The project covered roughly 37 squares of roofing in aluminum construction. Our metal roof was installed just under 5 years ago; and had sprung a small leak. I emailed them to have them look into it, as it has a lifetime warranty. Within hours they called me and scheduled a service call for the next morning. Ken came by right on time, and quickly was on the roof looking at potential causes. He identified an area where it looked like the roof was dipping a bit, right above the leak. When he removed the shingles there he noticed there were some nails through the sunroof, and likely the cause of the issue. He placed some membrane, and re-applied the singles. He had also identified some facia boards that could use some caulking to reduce other areas of potential water incursion, and filled those in. Really impressed with Ken and how he’s worked to ensure the problem is resolved. Update: We had an issue with the ridge venting, called their support and the sent Ken out to check them out. He identified that the wider version of the vent caps should have been used and set an appointment with me for him to come and replace them all. He’s just been back to do that work, took 2 hours and left everything spotless. Fantastic customer service.
