  I had expressed concerns to you about the actual appearance of the Interlock Roof. I thought from the pictures shown to us that it might look a bit 'plastic.' Such is not the case.   There are areas that they fell short on. One would be the coordinating effort with the solar panel installation project. Another, would be more consistent and timely communication with the ridge cap repair. My feedback is real feedback and I appreciate this opportunity to be called on again for this survey. I needed the extra time, for things to be taken care of. We had to combine a metal roof with the solar panels. It's a smart thing to do together.

  First, develop a clue to how to schedule materials being delivered in time, the delay in our case was total bullshit. Also, either have install crew cover all exhaust ducting and/or provide homeowners with a pre-work checklist regarding this. Our microwave was destroyed due to its vent fan becoming full of old roofing material. Found about a bucket full of it in the duct work and microwave exhaust fan.

  This is the second roof I've had installed in three years. Our prior roof leaked from day 1, and the workmanship was so shoddy that I felt if I complained and the roofers returned they were likely to do more harm than good. Interlock was entirely different. Exceptionally hard working crew who were detailed oriented and appear to have done an excellent job. However only time will tell but for the moment a month out the roof is wonderful.

  There were problems that were encountered during installation, such as roof leaks, gutter parts being mistakenly disposed of that were not, in my opinion, properly addressed by Interlock until I kept forced the issue. Also, during installation heavy outside furniture was moved and blocked my garage the whole 2+ week installation.   The salesperson could have elaborated further on things like the appearance of the piping and ventilation. The pictures he showed me depicting the front side of the house featured much less stuff sticking out than the finished product. The pictures gave me the impression that nothing would be sticking out, when this did not end up being the case.

I was told of all these various people (coordinator and foreman) will be calling me but I only received a call after I inquired to the sales rep as to why nobody has called me or started my roof which was 3 weeks over due. I also wish I was informed more of the safety features (snow guards) and the importance of having them up around the house.
