The roofer get the plan of the house as to what is going where, and I think the customer should receive a copy too. Then they can check to sure the right materials, snow guards, and whether the bay window suppose to done, front porch to be done, etc. The salesperson was asking if I really wanted it done, and that should have been spelled out. I assumed he was doing that and giving it to the workers, such as the bay windows, porches, etc. It should be spelled out in the contract that it would be shingles, and snow guards, but the customer should have a plan of the home so that we know that is what the roofers have, and it is being done corrected. I am happy with the product, happy with the installers, but not so happy with the Company. It was just a week ago that it was installed. You buy a new car, and next week you have an engine problem, so it is hard to say. So far what we have seen we are happy with the product. It was a difficult process working with our salesperson, and that is where it all started. There was miscommunication with the Company. We had a starting date, and no one showed up. I called and ask to have it postponed for a week. I made up to three phone calls. I was supposed to have 10 snow guards put on my roof, and that wasn't on the plan they had. They called their boss, and he said put up three and no one was in contact with me and they were referring to their boss. I now have three snow guards instead of ten. There were miscommunications.
I was not told the snow would slid off the roof so quickly. We now have damage to our upper balcony from the snow crashing down. Very upset with this. I will have to hire a contractor in the spring to fix my balcony and install something on the roof to stop this from happening.The sales people need to make owners aware of this!
