| Spec / Rating | Climate / Risk Factor + What It Solves |
|---|---|
| Wind resistance: 120+ mph (193+ kph) | Extreme wind, hurricanes, storm uplift: full interlocking attachment helps prevent blow-offs, edge lifting, and panel loss in high-gust events. |
| Fire rating: Class A (with proper assembly) | Wildfire, embers, radiant heat, chimney sparks: non-combustible roof assembly provides the highest residential fire protection rating. |
| Hail resistance: UL 2218 Class 4 | Hail and impact debris: highest impact classification; resists cracking, splitting, and surface loss common with asphalt under hail strikes. |

What our customers are saying:
If you want to secure, modernize & absolutely beautify your home without the hassle of moving, start with a brilliant sparkling quite literally stunning Interlock Metal Roof. Our experienced, knowledgeable & genuinely likable salesman JONATHAN BROWN explained all the economical benefits, practical advantages & value added benefits as well as guiding us through the entire process with ease, we didn't have to stress out about a thing. Refreshingly, Jonathan simply chatted with us, took plenty of time-I never felt rushed to make a decision. We love it! Mazar is an excellent Technician who assisted us as well with this lovely new roof.
They could improve by coming to fix the issues I suggested. Someone need to come out to fix the issues I had during installation.
I want to thank you for coming to my home to show me the video, samples, and explain the differences between the Interlock Roofing System and regular roofing shingles. The blue I chose is beautiful and really perks up my old home. It is so comforting to know that it will no longer leak around the dormers. I can now paper and paint my bedrooms with confidence and know that we won’t be ruined by rain. It is so nice to know that I will never have to roof my home again. Thank you again.
They could have communicated about existing conditions.
Communications. From start to finish all the players need to know what was agreed on. Initially, they didn't have enough English speaking people, but sent someone out. They need a bi-lingual spokes person.
I have been the owner of my home since 1979. Since then, I have been through water heaters, paint jobs and one roof. After the third water heater let loose, I decided there had to be better products out there. I now own a water heater that I can trust and my oil company will stand by. Two years ago, I saw two houses nearby with the Interlock roof. I said that is what I need for the same satisfaction that I got from the water heater. And I also got a roof that looks good and compliments the last paint job and shutters. I also have the guarantee to back up an excellent job that was done installing the roof. My next project is to find paint/siding that will give me a home with little maintenance and less worries.
We are happy with the roof, so far.
If they were in my monetary range I would hire them in a heartbeat. My wife and I loved the product.
Homeowner was short with me and did not want to speak to me at first. I was able to ask the open ended questions and got the reason why he was defensive. They are putting a hold on the project. Currently, homeowner feels they do not need a new roof just yet. He was satisfied with sales presentation but right now is not the time to move forward.
They were so professional ! We are so pleased with the quality of work and materials. We wish we chose them years ago instead of other companies who didn't do the job right. First time in years our roof hasn't leaked after it was fixed. We had it done many times! This company couldn't be any better! We tell everyone how wonderful they are. I would be a very proud owner of my employees and the salesman Larry Ebbs and Igor as well as Dina and others on the crew. Thank you ! Thank You , Thank You, Thank You, Igor made our house pretty again!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Wollaston
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Wollaston, Massachusetts. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Wollaston.
Will a metal roof hold up through Massachusetts winters with all the freeze-thaw cycles?
Yes—aluminum actually thrives in freeze-thaw conditions because it has no iron content and cannot rust, unlike steel roofing. Wollaston experiences about 76 freeze-thaw days per year, which would crack and degrade asphalt shingles and wood shake, but aluminum's oxide layer self-heals when scratched and remains structurally sound through thousands of cycles. The 3105-H24 aluminum alloy used in Interlock panels is rated for exactly these climates, from coastal New England to Antarctic research stations.
How does a metal roof handle Wollaston's heavy snow, and do I need snow guards?
Interlock's four-way interlocking panels shed snow safely and prevent ice dams because the smooth, hard surface won't trap moisture the way asphalt absorbs water. With about 84 centimeters of snow annually and frequent thaw cycles in your region, metal's non-absorbent surface is a real advantage. Snow guards are available and recommended in areas with roof-to-ground clearance concerns; our New England installer can advise whether your home's pitch and setback require them during the installation conversation.
Does Interlock Metal Roofing leak in heavy rain? What makes it watertight?
No—the four-way interlocking seams are engineered so water cannot flow uphill through the joints. Wollaston receives about 1065 millimeters of rain annually, often in heavy nor'easter events, but the mechanical overlap and compression fit of the panels mean water always travels down and off. The panels install over a solid deck and underlayment (just like asphalt), so the system is built with redundant leak barriers—metal alone isn't the watertight layer; the assembly is.
Can Interlock stand up to Wollaston's coastal wind and winter gusts?
The warranty covers wind speeds up to 120 miles per hour when installed to specification, and Wollaston's typical gusts reach about 130 kilometers per hour (81 mph). The four-way interlocking design means each panel is mechanically fastened and locked to its neighbors, not just nailed to the deck. This distributed fastening, combined with the panels' light weight and secure seaming, resists the wind forces that can lift or tear asphalt shingles during the intense storm systems that hit this region.
Is a metal roof light enough to install over my existing roof without structural work?
Yes—Interlock's Cedar Shingle and Shake profiles weigh just 0.41–0.58 pounds per square foot, while the Mediterranean Tile is about 96% lighter than real concrete or clay tile. Your home was built to support asphalt, which is heavier; aluminum weighs a fraction of that. In almost all cases, you can install directly over your existing roof—no structural reinforcement needed. Our New England installer will assess your roof's condition during the free estimate to confirm, but weight is rarely a barrier in homes built to post-1970s codes.
Does Interlock Metal Roofing have impact resistance, and could that lower my homeowner's insurance?
Interlock carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian Warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Because aluminum is non-combustible and non-impact-degrading, some insurers recognize it as a loss-control upgrade; contact your agent with the UL 2218 Class 4 rating to ask about discounts. The combination of durability and energy efficiency published solar-reflectance listing in qualifying colors) can sometimes unlock savings that offset part of the roof's cost.
Will an Interlock metal roof keep my home cooler in summer?
energy-efficient colors have a thermal emissivity of 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny), meaning they reflect heat that asphalt absorbs and re-radiates into your attic. Wollaston averages about 3109 sunshine hours per year and daily highs of 11°C mean—while not a hot-climate extreme—that reflective coatings reduce cooling load and lower air-conditioning costs over time. The Cool Roof Rating Council rating confirms measured performance; this isn't marketing, it's third-party thermal data.
What warranty does Interlock offer, and will it transfer if I sell?
The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner—covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance—with zero deductible. It's one-time transferable to the next owner for 50 years from completion, giving future buyers decades of peace of mind. Combined with an aluminum alloy that doesn't degrade and a 30-year coating warranty (ASTM D4214/D2244 tested), Interlock is genuinely the last roof you'll buy.
Why is aluminum better than steel for a Wollaston roof?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron; instead, it forms a protective oxide layer that self-heals when scratched. Steel roofing, by contrast, requires paint or coatings to prevent rust—especially in Wollaston's 1065 mm of annual rainfall and salt air if you're near the coast. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum is ASTM B209 certified, and the Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating (applied to both sides) adds 30 years of chalking and fading protection. You're buying corrosion immunity, not relying on maintenance.

Yes. Wollaston averages about 84 cm of snow, 1065 mm of rain, roughly 76 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 130 km/h.
