What our customers are saying:
If you want to secure, modernize & absolutely beautify your home without the hassle of moving, start with a brilliant sparkling quite literally stunning Interlock Metal Roof. Our experienced, knowledgeable & genuinely likable salesman JONATHAN BROWN explained all the economical benefits, practical advantages & value added benefits as well as guiding us through the entire process with ease, we didn't have to stress out about a thing. Refreshingly, Jonathan simply chatted with us, took plenty of time-I never felt rushed to make a decision. We love it! Mazar is an excellent Technician who assisted us as well with this lovely new roof.
They could improve by coming to fix the issues I suggested. Someone need to come out to fix the issues I had during installation.
I want to thank you for coming to my home to show me the video, samples, and explain the differences between the Interlock Roofing System and regular roofing shingles. The blue I chose is beautiful and really perks up my old home. It is so comforting to know that it will no longer leak around the dormers. I can now paper and paint my bedrooms with confidence and know that we won’t be ruined by rain. It is so nice to know that I will never have to roof my home again. Thank you again.
We are happy with the roof, so far.
They could have communicated about existing conditions.
Communications. From start to finish all the players need to know what was agreed on. Initially, they didn't have enough English speaking people, but sent someone out. They need a bi-lingual spokes person.
I have been the owner of my home since 1979. Since then, I have been through water heaters, paint jobs and one roof. After the third water heater let loose, I decided there had to be better products out there. I now own a water heater that I can trust and my oil company will stand by. Two years ago, I saw two houses nearby with the Interlock roof. I said that is what I need for the same satisfaction that I got from the water heater. And I also got a roof that looks good and compliments the last paint job and shutters. I also have the guarantee to back up an excellent job that was done installing the roof. My next project is to find paint/siding that will give me a home with little maintenance and less worries.
This is the roof I’ve been dreaming of since I started to see my old one fail. It looks so sleek and modern and it was a great experience from estimate to installation! N/a Metal roofing is more expensive than asphalt, that’s a known variable. But, I’ll never need to reroof my house again and the last roof only lasted 11-12 years. Jonathan convinced me, vs. another company that uses the same product or similar. It was two long days for the crew who stopped only once for a lunch break each day. The product looks great and offers so much peace of mind for me as a homeowner who has had to deal with ice dams and peeling shingles. I get happy just thinking about what’s now overhead.
Give home owners a better option for small roofs than they did to us. Extremely disappointed. We are considering having this roof removed at this point and replaced with a roof that is not so horrible to look at and does nothing for the RESALE VALUE of our home. We also considered posting pictures of this roof on FACE BOOK on the Interlock website to warn other potential customers to beware of what can happen to them.
After many years of having my roof repaired or replaced, I decided to call Interlock Industries, Inc. since I had miraculously just received an advertisement in my mail. After Paul Forrer came to my house in July and explained the procedure, etc, I was ready to hire the company. In October, the dumpster and shingles arrived. I was excited. Two men came at the end of October and have diligently worked almost everyday for two weeks. They are precise, neat, and knowledgeable. I am impressed with their work. I can not get over the change in the appearance of my house that their work has made. People slow down and gawk, others have stopped as they " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by and have complimented me on it. Thank you for making my home my castle!!!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Marina Bay
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Marina Bay, Massachusetts. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Marina Bay.
How does a metal roof handle Marina Bay's snow and ice buildup?
Metal roofs shed snow more effectively than asphalt because the smooth, hard surface prevents ice dams that trap moisture—a critical advantage in a climate that averages about 84 cm of snow annually and experiences roughly 76 freeze-thaw cycles per year. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels and optional snow guards work together to control sliding while the aluminum's light weight (the Slate profile installs at just 0.41 lb/sq ft) means no structural reinforcement is needed. The non-porous coating resists water penetration during repeated freeze cycles, protecting against the damage that cracks asphalt shingles over time.
Why does freeze-thaw cycling in Massachusetts damage other roofs but not Interlock aluminum?
Freeze-thaw damage occurs when water absorbs into materials, expands when frozen, and cracks the surface—a process that repeats about 76 times annually in Marina Bay. Aluminum's non-porous oxide layer and Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating (warranted 30 years against degradation per ASTM D4214/D2244) prevent water absorption entirely, so expansion cannot occur. The metal also contracts and expands uniformly without cracking. Asphalt shingles, by contrast, absorb moisture and experience cumulative micro-fractures that accelerate deterioration in freeze-thaw zones, shortening their lifespan significantly compared to aluminum's proven decades-long durability.
Can a metal roof withstand Marina Bay's winter gusts?
Yes. Marina Bay experiences gusts up to about 130 km/h (roughly 80 mph), well within Interlock's warranted resistance to wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. The four-way interlocking panel design creates a unified structural system—each panel locks to its neighbors on all four sides—distributing wind load across the entire roof rather than concentrating stress on fasteners. This engineering, combined with the aluminum's inherent strength and the ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation (reissued 2025 for IBC/IRC compliance), ensures the roof remains secure during the intense seasonal weather your region experiences.
Why is aluminum roofing better than steel in a Massachusetts coastal climate?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—rust requires iron oxidation. Instead, aluminum develops a thin, naturally occurring oxide layer that forms instantly when exposed to air and self-heals when scratched. In salt-air coastal environments, Interlock applies Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish to both sides of every panel for extra protection. This two-sided coating is why Interlock panels have been successfully installed in harsh coastal climates for over 25 years, including salt-spray zones far more corrosive than Marina Bay's climate. Even in regions with 1065 mm of annual rainfall and high humidity, the aluminum's non-corrosive nature eliminates rust staining, structural weakening, and the accelerating deterioration that iron-based metal roofs experience.
Does Interlock's hail rating qualify for insurance discounts in Marina Bay?
Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian Warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Many insurers recognize Class 4 ratings and may offer premium reductions for non-combustible roofs with superior impact resistance. Contact your agent with Interlock's Intertek listing 33876 and UL rating details; the combination of impact durability, non-combustible aluminum, and a lifetime limited material warranty often qualifies for favorable underwriting. The light weight (Slate at 0.41 lb/sq ft) also eliminates structural-loading concerns that sometimes trigger higher premiums.
Will a metal roof reduce cooling costs in Marina Bay's summer?
energy-efficient Interlock colors have thermal emissivity of 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny), meaning they reflect heat that asphalt absorbs—a measurable advantage given Marina Bay's 3109 annual sunshine hours. The reflective coating reduces peak roof temperature, lowering the cooling load on air conditioning systems and extending their lifespan. Over a 40+ year roof life, the cumulative energy savings offset the upfront material cost, making the metal roof your last roof to buy. Cool Roof Rating Council certification confirms the reflectance performance in independent testing.
How much maintenance does an Interlock metal roof require compared to asphalt or wood?
Interlock requires virtually no maintenance beyond occasional gutter cleaning and debris removal—the non-porous aluminum and dual-sided Alunar 70% PVDF coating resist algae growth, moss, and weathering. Asphalt shingles require periodic inspection for curl, cracking, and granule loss, especially after freeze-thaw cycling (76 cycles annually in Marina Bay). Wood shakes demand annual inspection, treatment, and replacement of split or rotted pieces. The metal's CALGreen-verified reduced-maintenance design and lifetime limited warranty mean no costly repairs or premature replacement cycles. This durability advantage compounds over decades, saving time and money while keeping your home weather-tight through 1065 mm of annual rainfall and heavy snow seasons.
Is a metal roof a good financial investment if I plan to stay in my home?
Yes, especially if you intend to stay 20+ years. Although Interlock costs more upfront than asphalt, the lifetime limited material warranty (non-prorated for the original owner) and proven 25+ year durability eliminate costly replacement cycles. Asphalt shingles typically need replacement every 15-20 years in freeze-thaw climates like Marina Bay, where 76 annual freeze-thaw cycles and 84 cm of snow accelerate deterioration. Over a 40-year ownership period, a single metal roof purchase eliminates multiple asphalt tear-offs (and landfill waste), plus you avoid the labor, logistics, and disposal costs of replacement. Current financing—no payments and no interest until Spring 2027—reduces the initial burden, making the last-roof-you-buy philosophy financially achievable.
Is metal roofing more environmentally responsible than asphalt?
Yes. Interlock aluminum panels are approximately 95% recyclable at end-of-life, whereas asphalt shingles end up in landfills where they persist for decades. Over a 40-year span, a homeowner who replaces asphalt shingles twice generates significant waste; a single metal roof stays installed, reducing your contribution to landfill burden. The recycled content in new aluminum roofing also lowers embodied carbon compared to virgin materials. CALGreen verification confirms the reduced-maintenance design cuts lifecycle impacts. With about 1065 mm of annual rainfall in Marina Bay, avoiding tear-offs and re-roofing also prevents construction debris, water runoff contamination during installation, and the fuel consumption of multiple replacement projects—making metal roofing the environmentally accountable choice for long-term homeowners.
Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Marina Bay, and how long has the installer served this area?
Interlock Metal Roofing (New England) Inc. serves Marina Bay and Norfolk County, with over 25 years of regional installation experience since 1999. The local team understands the specific challenges of Massachusetts freeze-thaw cycles, 84 cm annual snowfall, and coastal moisture exposure—factors that directly influence panel selection, ventilation, and fastening specifications. Working with an established regional installer ensures your roof meets ICC-ES ESR-1790 standards, proper wind bracing (up to 120 mph warranty), and optimal performance in your local climate. Current promotion: no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation. Contact the local team to discuss profile options (Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, Standing Seam, Mediterranean Tile) and schedule an on-site assessment.
Is a metal roof a good choice for Marina Bay’s climate?
Yes. Marina Bay averages about 84 cm of snow, 1065 mm of rain, roughly 76 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 130 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
