What our customers are saying:
First I would like to say Thank you to your roofers Alex and Aven for a job well done on the installation of my new Interlock aluminum alloy slate roof in Tudor brown. Both men were here each day and worked diligently and conscientiously making sure that each step of their work was done to the highest expectations and meticulous at each step of the process and answered any questions that I had. In addition as they worked on different sections of the roof they were as quiet as possible for my daughter works nights at a local hospital and sleeps during the day. What a difference in curb appeal my Interlock roof has made to my house. It really stands out on the street and is a a lot quieter then the old cedar shake roof of 30 years. I am also most pleased with Interlocks high quality features, durability, and appearance during a recent rain shower and is maintenance free. The solar skylight installed with my new roof has made my upstairs hallway brighter. I love it. I would also like to thank Mr. Glen Caldwell for coming out from " title="Seattle" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Seattle and showing me the Interlock Roofing System, as the choice was mode easier by his presentation, and Heather for helping me with securing the container and for being patient while I got my financial situation in order. And finally, I would like to thank Alex and Aven for looking over my new Interlock roof one last time and making sure all roof debris was picked up and in the big container. Thank you I am very happy with my new roof.
The installation of our Interlock Roof System was completed this week to our total satisfaction and expectation! The compliments of our new roof are just beginning to be received. Your installation crew of three young men, headed by Peter, are to be commended as they did an outstanding job of removing the old shingle roof, sheeting the roof surface with 1/2" CDX plywood prior to installing the interlocking aluminum panels of Tudor Brown. Our 3,000 sq. ft. home has numerous hips and ">valleys making it a more complicated roofing system than normal, but your installation crew was able to complete the project within ten working days. The crew's work ethic elicited several admiring comments from neighbors. One comment was, 'lt would be difficult to find a more hard working and thorough crew than what you had working on your home". We also appreciated the fact that the crew left the premises orderly after each day's work and completely removed all debris when the project was completed. The entire process from the visit of your sales representative, Glen Caldwell, to the work phase of the installation crew was done most professionally. The end product is a roof that reflects quality and one that we will not have to replace in our lifetime. Thank you.
Interlock installed a great metal shingle roof on our house. They worked with us to make sure all of our concerns were addressed. The installation crew was professional and polite, answered all questions, and worked diligently to install a beautiful roof.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Juniper Beach
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Juniper Beach, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Juniper Beach.
How does a metal roof handle snow and ice in Juniper Beach winters?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice far better than asphalt because the smooth, hard surface prevents buildup and the lightweight design never sags under load. Juniper Beach averages about 37 cm of snow yearly with roughly 31 freeze-thaw cycles, which is exactly where metal excels—no ice dams, no wood rot from trapped moisture, no structural stress. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels are warranted for 120 mph winds, so winter gusts to 112 km/h won't lift edges or create leaks. Snow guards are available if you want to slow melt runoff for aesthetic or drainage reasons.
Why doesn't aluminum rust like steel roofing?
Aluminum physically cannot rust because it contains no iron; what protects it instead is a naturally occurring oxide layer that forms instantly when exposed to air and heals itself when scratched. Roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy meets ASTM B209 standards and wears a 30-year warranted Alunar 70% PVDF coating on both sides, doubling protection against salt air and Juniper Beach's wet 1148 mm annual rainfall. That dual-coat design was specifically engineered for coastal homes—it's the same approach Interlock uses from Pacific salt-air installations to Antarctic research stations, so corrosion simply isn't a failure mode.
Will heavy rain leak through the seams on a metal roof?
No—the four-way interlocking panel design overlaps each seam the way roof shingles do, so water runs down and away; a solid deck beneath plus felt underlayment create multiple barriers. Juniper Beach receives about 1148 mm of rain annually, spread across frequent drizzle and occasional heavy days, yet Interlock's lap-and-lock geometry has weathered that pattern since 1997 without systematic leakage. The ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation confirms the system meets IBC/IRC standards for water shedding. Properly installed to spec, a metal roof actually outperforms asphalt in wet climates because the hard surface never absorbs water or degrades from saturation.
Can my roof framing handle a metal roof, or do I need to reinforce it?
Aluminum is so light that you almost never need structural work—the Mediterranean Tile profile, despite looking like heavy clay or concrete, installs at just 0.59 lb/sq ft, roughly 96% lighter than the real thing. For context, Interlock's Slate runs even lighter, and both can install directly over most existing asphalt roofs with no reinforcement. This matters in Juniper Beach because your home's original framing was built for standard shingles; switching to aluminum actually reduces load and wind-moment stress, so you'll likely skip expensive structural upgrades that slate, concrete tile, or multiple asphalt re-layers would demand. Have your installer confirm your current deck condition, but weight is virtually never the limiting factor.
How do metal roof panels stay fastened in high winds?
The four-way interlocking design locks each panel to its neighbors on all sides, creating a unified system rather than individual shingles; this distributed grip resists the uplift and flutter that tears asphalt apart. Interlock panels are warranted to hold against sustained wind speeds up to 120 mph, and Juniper Beach's typical gusts max around 112 km/h with rare extremes higher—so you're comfortably within the safety margin. The ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation certifies the installation method for building codes, and proper fastening to the deck ensures zero movement. Winter and spring squalls are common here, but an interlocked metal roof simply won't lift, flap, or fail at the seams the way single-layer shingles do.
Does a metal roof hold up in hail, and can it lower my insurance?
Metal roofs earn UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—meaning they resist hailstones up to 1.5 inches without perforation, and the warranty covers that outcome explicitly. Class 4 rating often qualifies homeowners for insurance discounts because hail claims plummet. Juniper Beach's 2898 annual sunshine hours and maritime location make dramatic hail rare compared to inland regions, but when freezing rain and wind do coincide during the 31 annual freeze-thaw cycles, you have zero risk of impact damage. Get your insurer's discount details after installation, since underwriters recognize metal durability and may lower your premium immediately; some carriers credit 10-20%, depending on the policy.
Isn't a metal roof too expensive?
No—a metal roof costs more upfront but becomes the last roof you'll ever buy, which changes the math entirely. Asphalt lasts 15-20 years and requires full tear-off, landfill fees, and reinstall labor every cycle; Interlock's lifetime limited warranty to the original owner and transferable 50-year term to the next owner means you're never tearing it off. Over 50 years, the per-year cost of metal drops below asphalt because you skip three or four re-roofs plus 1148 mm of annual Juniper Beach rain won't degrade aluminum the way it does asphalt, which absorbs water, rots wood, and fails faster in wet climates. Current promotion: no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation—lock in today's cost and eliminate re-roofing from your home's future expense list.
How long does a metal roof actually last, and what's covered?
Interlock backs its aluminum with The Guardian—a lifetime limited non-prorated material warranty to you as the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance; it transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion. That's unmatched in roofing: asphalt guarantees only 15-20 years, and wood shakes split and rot within 25-30 years in Juniper Beach's wet 1148 mm annual rainfall and 31 freeze-thaw cycles. Aluminum simply doesn't degrade that way—no iron to rust, no wood fiber to absorb moisture. You're protected for life, your buyer is protected for half a century more, and the coating itself carries a separate 30-year warranty against chalking and fading. This is the roof you install once.
How much upkeep does a metal roof need?
Almost none—no pressure washing, no moss treatment, no shingle replacement, no gutter cleaning from rot debris. The hard aluminum surface never absorbs moisture or supports algae growth like asphalt does, so Juniper Beach's 1148 mm annual rain and 37 cm of snow slide straight off without degradation. Interlock's roofing-grade aluminum and Alunar 70% PVDF coating are verified by CALGreen standards for reduced maintenance, meaning you'll spend your time elsewhere while competitors' asphalt rots, curls, and loses granules. A quick debris sweep twice yearly keeps gutters clear—that's it. No annual inspections, no caulking, no coatings to reapply, no structural repairs from water damage. Metal roofing buys back the time and money you'd otherwise spend keeping a roof alive.
Do energy-efficiency metal roofing colors really cut cooling costs?
Yes—Interlock's energy-efficient colors reflect up to 55% of solar radiation (measured as initial solar reflectance 0.55 on Aged Copper Penny) and carry thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning they absorb less heat than dark asphalt and re-radiate it efficiently. That cuts AC load, especially on clear days when Juniper Beach averages about 2898 annual sunshine hours. The Cool Roof Rating Council certification confirms the data; over a roof's lifespan, reflective coatings offset 10-20% of summer cooling depending on your climate zone and home size. While Juniper Beach's maritime cool keeps summers mild, the energy advantage compounds over decades—lighter heat gain in shoulder seasons, lower peak afternoon temps, and reduced HVAC cycling all add up. Choose a light or reflective profile and you'll feel the difference in your power bill.
