What our customers are saying:
Your home is your greatest investment, sheltering you from the storms. Don’t nickel and dime yourself when choosing a roof, you get what you pay for. We chose Interlock aluminum roofing for our house, and are totally pleased with it. Aluminum doesn’t rust period. The current rage of steel roofing is a racket preying on uninformed consumers who want something for next to nothing. Steel roofs are coated to prevent rust. However, once these coatings wear off rust sets in. I have personally seen an 18 year-old steel roof with significant rusting after the coating was gone. Do yourself a favor, get an Interlock aluminum roof. Dean Landers 5 star review June 9/2026 Janesville WI
I had Interlock put on a beautiful red slate roof 17 years ago.The roof still looks beautiful. 5 years ago, I had them also re-roof my garage with the same type of slate. The roofs look gorgeous and I have no maintenance whatsoever.I get complements all the time. The guy whom I contracted with was named "Tim' but has since died. He was a really nice guy. Back in 2009, the roof was much cheaper. ( I actually paid more for the garage 5 years ago!) I am extremely happy with the roofs. The guys did a wonderful job, replacing rotted boards where necessary. They also told me about very cheap gutters I could buy at Menards instead of those ridiculously - priced "special" gutter systems. I bought them and they placed them on my buildings. This home will go to my daughter one day; I do not want her to have to lift a finger. Note that I had an asphalt roof previously. It lasted only 12 years. The shingles curled up under the sun and cracked. They looked terrible. I can honestly say that these metals roofs by Interlock are very much worth what you pay for them. They will last a lifetime with almost no maintenance. Instead of replacing a roof every 15 years and paying lots for asphalt or fiberglass, their metal roofs last very long and you will never have to re- roof again.
Our experience with having our Interlock roof installed was exceptional. It was installed during the hottest days of the year, and none of our neighbors could believe the installers were working so hard during the hot, muggy weather. They finished several days ahead of schedule and left the yard clean and neat, even after a complete tear-off of three layers of roofing. One day during the installation, we had a rain storm, and the installers all took shelter in their vehicles. I noticed that we had a leak in a spot that had clearly had leaks before we bought the house. When I pointed it out to the installers, they went up the ladder in the pouring rain, found the cause of the problem (which, again, was a pre-existing problem, not one due to the Interlock installation) and fixed it on the spot. The service was exceptional.
We purchased our roof in 2009 and as you can see from the pictures taken in May of 2017, our roof looks as new as the day we bought it. Here are the things we have noticed most about our Interlock Lifetime Roof over the last 8 years. It keeps our house much cooler in the summer than the asphalt roof we used to have. It really sheds snow, and the snow guards work great. We never need to use a snow rake. We love the durability and the curb appeal. Greg Weber our representative, who we were enthused to learn, is still with the company. When we saw him in 2009 he laid out all the variables in a professional way and our Interlock Roof has lived up to all of our expectations and promises he made. All companies promise results, service, and quality. Interlock delivers.
The installation was super smooth. Every installer was courteous and professional. We get lots of compliments, and people stop by all the time to admire it. One of the biggest misconceptions about metal roofing is people think it’s loud. Our Interlock roof is very silent. The only way I know if it’s raining is if I look out a window. Also, the snow just slides off. We are also in a wind tunnel area, and we have never lost an Interlock shingle, and we have had the roof for many years. We were so pleased with our Interlock roof that we put the same roof on our lake home in northern Wisconsin. We get a lot more snow up there and the Interlock’s snow-shedding performance capabilities are second to none on that roof, too!
First off, the installation crew was great! They worked very hard, took short breaks, and completed the job very efficiently. Greg Weber, our sales representative, told us an Interlock Roof was more energy efficient than asphalt, and one of the major things we noticed over the years is how much cooler our home office upstairs is in the summertime and warmer it is in the wintertime. It’s a dramatic difference from our old asphalt roof. We have had a few neighbors even question why we invested more in an Interlock roof than a typical asphalt roof, and we always smile and say, “Everybody complains about spending money. Do you want to complain about it once or multiple times, and do you want to be all in to have the best, or not in, and hope for the best.” Thank you, Interlock!
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems, The installation was terrific. Jessie and his crew were very nice, polite, and clean and worked together like a well-oiled machine. If I was to have work done on my home for any type of project, this is the team I would recommend and would want to work on my house. Greg Weber, my sales representative, answered all my questions, set the proper expectations, and over delivered in every aspect. We had a major rainstorm shortly after the installation, and we noticed no difference in sound at all. Our Interlock roof is the talk of the neighborhood.
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems: We purchased our Interlock Lifetime Roof in June 2014. We are very happy with the look, durability of the material, and finish. After a snowfall, the heat of the sun will warm the roof and allow the snow to shed from the roof. We have a great sense of security, knowing it can withstand higher winds than conventional asphalt. In fact, our neighbors lost many shingles in the last major wind storm, and our Interlock roof proved to be the high wind resistance product it is with all shingles intact. We love the fact it’s more reliable and has peace of mind knowing it has lots of longevity and will look brand new not only now but down the road. We also received a discount on our homeowner’s insurance. Overall, we were very satisfied with our sales representative Greg Weber, the company, the service, and the product.
We have been do-it-yourselfer homeowners our whole lives. We are very handy and capable when it comes to home improvements and appreciate craftsmanship and quality. And that’s what Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems provided us with our roof. Craftsmanship and quality. Plus, durability, beauty, and experience from a company that manufactures and certify install its own product. That is something, a company that makes its own product, that was very important to us, and no other company in our market offered that, except Interlock. Another thing that was important was we didn’t want to have to deal with rust because many steel metal roofs look good new but look old and hideous down the road because of fading and rusting. Interlock is aluminum. So, it won’t rust, and it achieves and exceeds the highest rating of hail resistance. So, it’s like we said earlier – super durable! Jessie and his crew were super and hard working. We were amazed by their work ethic. That’s something that’s becoming rare nowadays. Also, we were told by a competitor that Greg Weber and Interlock would be high-pressure. That was the furthest thing from the truth. Greg was polite, personable, and knowledgeable and helped us sift through the “lesser quality, cheaper installation, sales gimmicky and overly aggressive” competitors. He provided us with a detailed range of the competition by laying out all the variables so we could make an intelligent comparison and decision. Greg helped save us a lot of time from all the other companies in our market selling what everyone else is selling or just selling stuff and making promises they can’t keep. All the asphalt guys want you to believe that their products will last, and all the steel companies want you to believe their products won’t rust, and everybody knows… That’s Just Not True! Interlock has proven itself for over four decades. That’s Impressive. That’s why we went with them, Jessie and Greg.
In March 2017 we had an Interlock Lifetime Roof installed. Greg Weber, the salesman, was not pushy. We were very impressed with his salesmanship and the product. He also offered to have the Interlock product put on our wishing well in the front yard. That was something we really appreciated. The clean-up was excellent! Many neighbors and people who " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by the house have noticed the roof and asked a lot of questions. We have gotten lots of compliments!
We visited the booth Interlock had at the Remodelling Show at State Fair Park. We got a lot of excellent information there and left our number for a call-back. We did receive the call back promptly and got an appointment right away. The estimator showed up on time and thoroughly explained the process, the product choices and the costs. We signed up for a new metal roof that evening because the advantages were so many, and the expense over time was not much different from regular shingles. This metal roof will probably outlive us! The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. Instead, a heavy, rainy week intervened, and we did get water in our kitchen. It took a while to get someone to call me back and that was frustrating because it damaged our kitchen ceiling. Ultimately, though, I did get a call, and the work was expedited to the following day. The roofers did the entire installation in one day and did a great job. The roof is beautiful, and we have many people stopping and looking at the wonderful work and superior materials. I know the company will honor their promise to pay for the damage to the kitchen. Once that is done, all is well. The experience wasn’t perfect, but it was as close as mother nature and shipping glitches allowed.
The Interlock crew was able to take some extra time to coordinate with another contractor for solar installation. As a result, the final the result looks great and very functional. The materials used are very high quality, and they worked efficiently and cleaned up when finished.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Johnson Creek Meadows
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Johnson Creek Meadows, Wisconsin. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Johnson Creek Meadows.
How does a metal roof handle Johnson Creek Meadows' winter snow and ice buildup?
Metal roofing sheds snow and ice far better than asphalt because the smooth, hard surface doesn't trap moisture the way porous shingles do. With about 86 cm of snow annually and roughly 87 freeze-thaw days per year in this region, that constant cycling can crack asphalt but won't damage Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels. The panels' light weight (the Slate profile at 0.41 lb/sq ft) means snow load is never a structural concern, and optional snow guards keep slides controlled if you want them. Aluminum's oxide layer actually strengthens as it ages, so repeated thawing won't weaken the material.
Will freeze-thaw cycles damage an aluminum metal roof in Wisconsin?
No — aluminum actually thrives in freeze-thaw climates because it contains no iron and cannot rust, even as moisture repeatedly freezes and thaws. Jefferson County experiences roughly 87 freeze-thaw days annually, which would cause asphalt and wood shakes to crack, curl, and fail over time. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating bonds to both sides of the aluminum panel, creating a unified barrier that doesn't chip or separate under thermal stress. After 27 years of installations from coastal Canada to Antarctic research stations, Interlock's track record shows this material gets stronger with age in these exact conditions.
Can a metal roof handle Wisconsin wind gusts without leaking or lifting?
Yes — Interlock metal roofing is warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to spec. Johnson Creek Meadows sees typical daily-max winds around 20 km/h with gusts reaching 95 km/h, which is well within the roof's capacity. The four-way interlocking panel design locks each piece to its neighbors in all directions, preventing any individual panel from lifting or fluttering in a gust. The system has been field-tested on coastal homes in salt air and mountain properties where wind loads are extreme. Once installed correctly over solid decking, the roof acts as a single unified membrane — no gaps, no vulnerability.
Do I need to reinforce my roof structure for a metal roof in Johnson Creek Meadows?
Almost never. The Interlock Shake profile weighs just 0.58 lb/sq ft and the Mediterranean Tile profile is about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile, so no structural reinforcement is required. Most homes in this region can handle the weight instantly — in fact, metal roofing often weighs less than the asphalt shingles already on your roof. This means installation can go directly over your existing roof in most cases, saving weeks of tear-off labor and eliminating the disposal cost of old shingles. A qualified local installer (Interlock has served this area since 2001) will assess your home in minutes and confirm whether any bracing is needed — typically it isn't.
Will my insurance rates drop with a metal roof, and can it survive Wisconsin hail?
Many insurers offer discounts for Class 4 impact-rated roofs, and Interlock carries a UL 2218 Class 4 certification — the highest hail rating available. The warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. In Wisconsin's climate with around 20 km/h typical winds and spring thunderstorms, hail impact resistance provides real peace of mind. Contact your agent with the UL 2218 Class 4 specification and ESR-1790 ICC-ES report — both are recognized by insurers nationwide. Some homeowners recoup a portion of the roof cost through reduced premiums over 5-10 years, though savings vary by insurer and your home's risk profile.
Can an energy-efficiency metal roof cut cooling costs in summer?
Yes, if you choose an energy-efficient color. Interlock's rated colors feature thermal emissivity up to 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55, meaning they bounce heat away rather than absorbing it like asphalt. Johnson Creek Meadows receives about 3,093 sunshine hours annually, so summer reflection matters. The Cool Roof Rating Council verification confirms performance in real-world conditions. The benefit is biggest in air-conditioned homes during July and August, but the reflective coating also reduces heat transfer through the attic year-round. Combined with the 30-year coating warranty against fading, an energy-efficiency finish maintains its reflectivity decade after decade.
How much maintenance does a metal roof need compared to asphalt shingles?
Metal roofing requires far less maintenance than asphalt, wood, or tile. No algae or moss grows on aluminum (unlike asphalt exposed to the 788 mm of rain Johnson Creek Meadows receives annually), no shingles curl or split from freeze-thaw cycling, and no granules shed into gutters. Interlock's aluminum is verified CALGreen-compliant for reduced maintenance. A simple rinse every few years keeps it clean; that's it. Asphalt roofs need moss treatments, missing-shingle repairs, and gutter cleaning every fall. Wood shakes need sealing. Tile needs mortar repair. With aluminum, you genuinely install it once and stop thinking about your roof — the original owner gets a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty, and the next owner inherits 50 years of coverage from completion.
Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to replacing asphalt every 15–20 years?
Yes, if you're staying in the home for 10+ years or plan to pass it to the next owner. Metal roofing costs more at installation but requires no tear-off, no re-roofing in 15 years, and no emergency repairs from freeze-thaw cracking or hail damage. Over 40 years, asphalt requires 2–3 full replacements plus repairs; aluminum requires none. The Guardian warranty's lifetime coverage for the original owner and 50-year transferability to the next owner mean your roof outlasts most mortgages. In Wisconsin's 87 annual freeze-thaw days and 86 cm of snow, asphalt lifespan is typically shorter than the national average. You're also buying it once — labor, disposal, disruption, and stress are one-time costs, not recurring.
Is an aluminum metal roof actually more sustainable than asphalt shingles?
Substantially. Interlock aluminum is approximately 95% recyclable at end of life, whereas asphalt shingles (millions of tons annually in North America) are disposed to landfill because they're difficult to recycle. A typical roof tear-off in Johnson Creek Meadows generates multiple tons of waste; metal roofing avoids that cycle entirely. When an aluminum roof does eventually reach end-of-life — likely beyond your ownership — the material returns to the aluminum supply stream. Asphalt, by contrast, breaks down into toxic components in landfills. Metal roofing also outlasts the product lifespan of competing materials in your region's freeze-thaw environment, meaning you replace fewer roofs over a lifetime. That's sustainability measured in decades of service, not marketing claims.
Can a metal roof protect my home from wildfires or chimney fires?
Aluminum is non-combustible, and Interlock offers Class A fire classification (the highest rating) on request — meaning the roof won't ignite or contribute fuel if exposed to flame. This exceeds most asphalt and wood roofs, which burn. While wildfires aren't the primary weather threat in Johnson Creek Meadows, the Class A rating does matter if your home is near trees, a chimney, or a structure-to-structure fire scenario. The ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790 confirms non-combustible aluminum qualifies for code compliance in all fire jurisdictions. In addition to roof safety, non-combustible material may qualify for further insurance credits depending on your policy — ask your agent about Class A metal roofing discounts.
