Your home is your greatest investment, sheltering you from the storms. Don’t nickel and dime yourself when choosing a roof, you get what you pay for. We chose Interlock aluminum roofing for our house, and are totally pleased with it. Aluminum doesn’t rust period. The current rage of steel roofing is a racket preying on uninformed consumers who want something for next to nothing. Steel roofs are coated to prevent rust. However, once these coatings wear off rust sets in. I have personally seen an 18 year-old steel roof with significant rusting after the coating was gone. Do yourself a favor, get an Interlock aluminum roof. Dean Landers 5 star review June 9/2026 Janesville WI

Review: April 16, 2026Completion: February 20, 2009

I had Interlock put on a beautiful red slate roof 17 years ago.The roof still looks beautiful. 5 years ago, I had them also re-roof my garage with the same type of slate. The roofs look gorgeous and I have no maintenance whatsoever.I get complements all the time. The guy whom I contracted with was named "Tim' but has since died. He was a really nice guy. Back in 2009, the roof was much cheaper. ( I actually paid more for the garage 5 years ago!) I am extremely happy with the roofs. The guys did a wonderful job, replacing rotted boards where necessary. They also told me about very cheap gutters I could buy at Menards instead of those ridiculously - priced "special" gutter systems. I bought them and they placed them on my buildings. This home will go to my daughter one day; I do not want her to have to lift a finger. Note that I had an asphalt roof previously. It lasted only 12 years. The shingles curled up under the sun and cracked. They looked terrible. I can honestly say that these metals roofs by Interlock are very much worth what you pay for them. They will last a lifetime with almost no maintenance. Instead of replacing a roof every 15 years and paying lots for asphalt or fiberglass, their metal roofs last very long and you will never have to re- roof again.

Resident at the home was dissatisfied with the clean up as a mess was left on the deck area.

Review: September 27, 2023Completion: August 29, 2023

It's too early to tell. The roof looks good and has held up against rain for one month. Scheduling the project was very challenging. It took lots of pushing and back and forth to establish a two week window, months out, for the installation. It took from October until August the next year from start to finish. This most likely wouldn't be an issue for most people, but my roof was already leaking and my work schedule is abnormal. The installation team was excellent. Nice people, clear interactions and expectations.

Review: July 27, 2023Completion: May 22, 2023

The crew did a very good job. They were very cordial and answered all my questions very well. The timeframe for when it was going to be completed fell short of my expectations. I don't know if they can do anything about it, but we are still getting remnants from when they cut. I just picked up another piece today. When they are cutting, they are probably leaving those things on the roof somewhere, and eventually they blow down and are sharp. I worry about people walking on them.

Review: June 8, 2023Completion: April 30, 2023

The crew was great and easy to work with. They need to advertise their project, and it would be great to have that sign out front. I have had people ask about where I got it done. Everyone was very polite, courteous, and helpful. They answered all of my questions.

Review: May 9, 2023Completion: March 24, 2023

They can improve their communication after signing the contract with a salesperson. There were a few months where I didn't have a direct contact to check in for materials during the timeframe of the project because I had a couple of projects going on at the same time with the solar panels being installed. It all worked out, but I think that would be an area to improve in. It looks beautiful, and I love it!

Review: October 26, 2022Completion: October 17, 2022

The communication could be improved, as well as the follow-up. I wonder how responsive they will be in the future. Their work was amazing but the communication wasn't. Communication was very poor, but the roof is amazing and its quality good.

Better communication around delays in start date. I would have been find with delays if they were transparent and kept to date as we passed what we were told multiple times.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Parkway Manor

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Parkway Manor, Wisconsin. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Parkway Manor.

How does a metal roof handle Parkway Manor's heavy snow and ice buildup?

Interlock's four-way interlocking panels shed snow and ice cleanly because aluminum's smooth surface resists adhesion far better than asphalt shingles do. Parkway Manor receives about 98 cm of snow annually across roughly 81 freeze-thaw cycles per year—conditions that crack and curl traditional materials. Aluminum's rigidity prevents the sagging that traps meltwater, and the system can be fitted with snow guards where needed. Because each panel weighs only 0.41 to 0.59 lb/sq ft (compared to slate at 10+ lb/sq ft), the load stays manageable and won't stress your home's framing, even after heavy wet snow.

Why does aluminum outperform other roof materials through Wisconsin's freeze-thaw cycles?

Aluminum expands and contracts minimally compared to asphalt, wood, or concrete—a critical advantage when your region endures roughly 81 freeze-thaw days per year. Unlike asphalt shingles, which become brittle and crack, or wood shakes, which split and curl, roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy maintains its structural integrity through repeated temperature swings. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating (warranted 30 years against chalking and fading per ASTM standards) prevents the UV and thermal stress that degrades other finishes over Parkway Manor's approximately 3,073 annual sunshine hours.

Can an aluminum metal roof rust in Wisconsin's wet climate?

No—aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. Instead, it forms a self-healing aluminum oxide layer that actually protects the metal underneath. When scratched, that oxide reformats automatically, sealing the damage. Parkway Manor receives roughly 760 mm of rain annually, and while moisture triggers rust in steel roofs, aluminum remains unaffected. The Alunar fluorocarbon finish is applied to both sides of each panel, adding 30 years of warranted protection against chalk and fade. This dual-sided coating is especially valuable in damp climates, ensuring your roof resists corrosion from both rainfall above and condensation below.

Do I need to reinforce my home's structure for an aluminum metal roof?

No structural reinforcement is needed. Interlock's lightweight aluminum panels (as light as 0.41 lb/sq ft for the Shingle profile) weigh roughly 96% less than concrete or clay tile, so they install directly over most existing roof structures without additional framing costs. The Mediterranean Tile profile, which replicates the appearance of traditional heavy tile, still weighs only about 0.59 lb/sq ft. In Parkway Manor, where approximately 98 cm of snow can accumulate annually, this light weight is a real advantage: your home's existing structure easily carries the aluminum roof plus seasonal snow load, avoiding expensive structural upgrades that tile or slate would require.

Will an aluminum metal roof hold up to Wisconsin's wind and gusts?

Yes, Interlock's four-way interlocking panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. Parkway Manor's typical daily winds average about 22 km/h with gusts reaching 97 km/h—well within the roof's rated capacity. The interlocking design distributes wind load across the entire panel assembly rather than relying on fasteners alone, so each gust is absorbed by the mechanical connection between panels. This system exceeds the wind demands of your region, meaning you gain protection against severe storms without compromise to aesthetics or roof profile.

How long will an Interlock metal roof last, and what's covered by the warranty?

The Guardian Warranty provides a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. The warranty transfers once to the next owner, giving them 50 years of coverage from completion. Because Interlock has manufactured aluminum roofing since 1998 and installed panels in extreme environments from coastal salt-air to Antarctic research stations, real-world performance data backs this promise. In Parkway Manor's moderate climate—roughly 760 mm rain, 98 cm snow, and 3,073 sunshine hours per year—you're looking at a final roof that outlasts multiple asphalt cycles.

How much maintenance does an aluminum metal roof require compared to asphalt or wood?

Aluminum metal roofing requires far less maintenance than asphalt or wood. Asphalt shingles need inspection every few years for cupping, curling, and granule loss, especially over Parkway Manor's 81 annual freeze-thaw cycles. Wood shakes demand regular treatment for mold and splitting. Interlock aluminum simply needs occasional clearing of debris and gutters—no coating reapplication, no moss treatment, no seasonal repairs. The Alunar 70% PVDF finish (both sides) and non-porous aluminum surface resist algae and lichen growth that plague softer materials. CALGreen verification confirms its reduced-maintenance profile, so you save years of upkeep labor and cost.

Is aluminum metal roofing worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt shingles over time?

Yes. Asphalt shingles cost less initially but require replacement every 15 to 20 years—meaning two or three tear-offs and landfill cycles over 50 years. Interlock's lifetime warranty and proven durability across 26+ years of production (since 1998) eliminate those recurring costs and disposal fees. Factor in the reduced maintenance (no granule checking, no UV degradation from Parkway Manor's 3,073 annual sunshine hours), potential insurance discounts (Class 4 hail, Class A fire), and the roof's transferability to your next owner (50-year transfer warranty), and aluminum becomes the final roof you'll buy. One purchase replaces three asphalt cycles and their associated labor.

Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Parkway Manor and the surrounding area?

Interlock Metal Roofing serves Parkway Manor and Milwaukee County, with local installation experience dating back to 2001. As both the manufacturer (Delta, BC, since 1998) and the regional installer, Interlock ensures that panels are installed to specification for Parkway Manor's specific climate: roughly 98 cm snow, 81 freeze-thaw days, and wind gusts to 97 km/h. The local team understands how to seal, flash, and integrate metal roofing with your home's structure and existing conditions. Direct access to manufacturing means faster parts availability, consistent warranty support, and installation expertise backed by over two decades of regional service.

Can an aluminum metal roof reduce cooling costs in summer?

Yes. Interlock's energy-efficient colors feature thermal emissivity of 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55 (such as Aged Copper Penny), meaning they reflect solar heat rather than absorb it like asphalt. Over Parkway Manor's roughly 3,073 annual sunshine hours, this reflectance keeps your home cooler and reduces air-conditioning demand. The Cool Roof Rating Council rating confirms these performance characteristics. While Wisconsin winters are long (about 98 cm of snow per year), summer cooling savings still accumulate. Aluminum's light weight and the option for solid deck installation also improve attic ventilation, further reducing heat gain. Together, these features lower your year-round energy footprint.

Is a metal roof a good choice for Parkway Manor’s climate?

Yes. Parkway Manor averages about 98 cm of snow, 760 mm of rain, roughly 81 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 97 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
