What our customers are saying:
Your home is your greatest investment, sheltering you from the storms. Don’t nickel and dime yourself when choosing a roof, you get what you pay for. We chose Interlock aluminum roofing for our house, and are totally pleased with it. Aluminum doesn’t rust period. The current rage of steel roofing is a racket preying on uninformed consumers who want something for next to nothing. Steel roofs are coated to prevent rust. However, once these coatings wear off rust sets in. I have personally seen an 18 year-old steel roof with significant rusting after the coating was gone. Do yourself a favor, get an Interlock aluminum roof. Dean Landers 5 star review June 9/2026 Janesville WI
I had Interlock put on a beautiful red slate roof 17 years ago.The roof still looks beautiful. 5 years ago, I had them also re-roof my garage with the same type of slate. The roofs look gorgeous and I have no maintenance whatsoever.I get complements all the time. The guy whom I contracted with was named "Tim' but has since died. He was a really nice guy. Back in 2009, the roof was much cheaper. ( I actually paid more for the garage 5 years ago!) I am extremely happy with the roofs. The guys did a wonderful job, replacing rotted boards where necessary. They also told me about very cheap gutters I could buy at Menards instead of those ridiculously - priced "special" gutter systems. I bought them and they placed them on my buildings. This home will go to my daughter one day; I do not want her to have to lift a finger. Note that I had an asphalt roof previously. It lasted only 12 years. The shingles curled up under the sun and cracked. They looked terrible. I can honestly say that these metals roofs by Interlock are very much worth what you pay for them. They will last a lifetime with almost no maintenance. Instead of replacing a roof every 15 years and paying lots for asphalt or fiberglass, their metal roofs last very long and you will never have to re- roof again.
Our experience with having our Interlock roof installed was exceptional. It was installed during the hottest days of the year, and none of our neighbors could believe the installers were working so hard during the hot, muggy weather. They finished several days ahead of schedule and left the yard clean and neat, even after a complete tear-off of three layers of roofing. One day during the installation, we had a rain storm, and the installers all took shelter in their vehicles. I noticed that we had a leak in a spot that had clearly had leaks before we bought the house. When I pointed it out to the installers, they went up the ladder in the pouring rain, found the cause of the problem (which, again, was a pre-existing problem, not one due to the Interlock installation) and fixed it on the spot. The service was exceptional.
We purchased our roof in 2009 and as you can see from the pictures taken in May of 2017, our roof looks as new as the day we bought it. Here are the things we have noticed most about our Interlock Lifetime Roof over the last 8 years. It keeps our house much cooler in the summer than the asphalt roof we used to have. It really sheds snow, and the snow guards work great. We never need to use a snow rake. We love the durability and the curb appeal. Greg Weber our representative, who we were enthused to learn, is still with the company. When we saw him in 2009 he laid out all the variables in a professional way and our Interlock Roof has lived up to all of our expectations and promises he made. All companies promise results, service, and quality. Interlock delivers.
The installation was super smooth. Every installer was courteous and professional. We get lots of compliments, and people stop by all the time to admire it. One of the biggest misconceptions about metal roofing is people think it’s loud. Our Interlock roof is very silent. The only way I know if it’s raining is if I look out a window. Also, the snow just slides off. We are also in a wind tunnel area, and we have never lost an Interlock shingle, and we have had the roof for many years. We were so pleased with our Interlock roof that we put the same roof on our lake home in northern Wisconsin. We get a lot more snow up there and the Interlock’s snow-shedding performance capabilities are second to none on that roof, too!
First off, the installation crew was great! They worked very hard, took short breaks, and completed the job very efficiently. Greg Weber, our sales representative, told us an Interlock Roof was more energy efficient than asphalt, and one of the major things we noticed over the years is how much cooler our home office upstairs is in the summertime and warmer it is in the wintertime. It’s a dramatic difference from our old asphalt roof. We have had a few neighbors even question why we invested more in an Interlock roof than a typical asphalt roof, and we always smile and say, “Everybody complains about spending money. Do you want to complain about it once or multiple times, and do you want to be all in to have the best, or not in, and hope for the best.” Thank you, Interlock!
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems, The installation was terrific. Jessie and his crew were very nice, polite, and clean and worked together like a well-oiled machine. If I was to have work done on my home for any type of project, this is the team I would recommend and would want to work on my house. Greg Weber, my sales representative, answered all my questions, set the proper expectations, and over delivered in every aspect. We had a major rainstorm shortly after the installation, and we noticed no difference in sound at all. Our Interlock roof is the talk of the neighborhood.
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems: We purchased our Interlock Lifetime Roof in June 2014. We are very happy with the look, durability of the material, and finish. After a snowfall, the heat of the sun will warm the roof and allow the snow to shed from the roof. We have a great sense of security, knowing it can withstand higher winds than conventional asphalt. In fact, our neighbors lost many shingles in the last major wind storm, and our Interlock roof proved to be the high wind resistance product it is with all shingles intact. We love the fact it’s more reliable and has peace of mind knowing it has lots of longevity and will look brand new not only now but down the road. We also received a discount on our homeowner’s insurance. Overall, we were very satisfied with our sales representative Greg Weber, the company, the service, and the product.
We have been do-it-yourselfer homeowners our whole lives. We are very handy and capable when it comes to home improvements and appreciate craftsmanship and quality. And that’s what Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems provided us with our roof. Craftsmanship and quality. Plus, durability, beauty, and experience from a company that manufactures and certify install its own product. That is something, a company that makes its own product, that was very important to us, and no other company in our market offered that, except Interlock. Another thing that was important was we didn’t want to have to deal with rust because many steel metal roofs look good new but look old and hideous down the road because of fading and rusting. Interlock is aluminum. So, it won’t rust, and it achieves and exceeds the highest rating of hail resistance. So, it’s like we said earlier – super durable! Jessie and his crew were super and hard working. We were amazed by their work ethic. That’s something that’s becoming rare nowadays. Also, we were told by a competitor that Greg Weber and Interlock would be high-pressure. That was the furthest thing from the truth. Greg was polite, personable, and knowledgeable and helped us sift through the “lesser quality, cheaper installation, sales gimmicky and overly aggressive” competitors. He provided us with a detailed range of the competition by laying out all the variables so we could make an intelligent comparison and decision. Greg helped save us a lot of time from all the other companies in our market selling what everyone else is selling or just selling stuff and making promises they can’t keep. All the asphalt guys want you to believe that their products will last, and all the steel companies want you to believe their products won’t rust, and everybody knows… That’s Just Not True! Interlock has proven itself for over four decades. That’s Impressive. That’s why we went with them, Jessie and Greg.
In March 2017 we had an Interlock Lifetime Roof installed. Greg Weber, the salesman, was not pushy. We were very impressed with his salesmanship and the product. He also offered to have the Interlock product put on our wishing well in the front yard. That was something we really appreciated. The clean-up was excellent! Many neighbors and people who " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by the house have noticed the roof and asked a lot of questions. We have gotten lots of compliments!
We visited the booth Interlock had at the Remodelling Show at State Fair Park. We got a lot of excellent information there and left our number for a call-back. We did receive the call back promptly and got an appointment right away. The estimator showed up on time and thoroughly explained the process, the product choices and the costs. We signed up for a new metal roof that evening because the advantages were so many, and the expense over time was not much different from regular shingles. This metal roof will probably outlive us! The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. Instead, a heavy, rainy week intervened, and we did get water in our kitchen. It took a while to get someone to call me back and that was frustrating because it damaged our kitchen ceiling. Ultimately, though, I did get a call, and the work was expedited to the following day. The roofers did the entire installation in one day and did a great job. The roof is beautiful, and we have many people stopping and looking at the wonderful work and superior materials. I know the company will honor their promise to pay for the damage to the kitchen. Once that is done, all is well. The experience wasn’t perfect, but it was as close as mother nature and shipping glitches allowed.
The Interlock crew was able to take some extra time to coordinate with another contractor for solar installation. As a result, the final the result looks great and very functional. The materials used are very high quality, and they worked efficiently and cleaned up when finished.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Granville Station
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Granville Station, Wisconsin. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Granville Station.
How does a metal roof handle the 88 cm of snow Granville Station gets each year?
Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels shed snow and ice more efficiently than asphalt shingles because their smooth, hard surface prevents snow from bonding. With about 88 cm annual snowfall and roughly 79 freeze-thaw days per year, your roof experiences the exact conditions where ice dams form on traditional materials—but the lightweight aluminum panels (the Slate weighs just 0.41 lb/sq ft) don't accumulate structural stress, and optional snow guards can be installed to manage runoff safely. The panels' non-porous design also resists the water infiltration that causes damage during thaw cycles.
Will freeze-thaw cycles in Wisconsin damage an aluminum metal roof?
No—aluminum's oxide layer actually self-heals when scratched, making it inherently resistant to the micro-fracturing that weakens asphalt and wood through repeated freeze-thaw stress. Granville Station experiences about 79 freeze-thaw days annually, plus roughly 822 mm of rain and 88 cm of snow, yet roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) remains dimensionally stable across these extremes. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating, warranted 30 years against degradation, provides an additional protective layer—so while traditional materials weaken with each winter cycle, your aluminum roof grows more resilient.
Can an aluminum roof rust in Wisconsin's wet climate?
Steel roofs rust because they contain iron, which oxidizes in moisture—but aluminum contains no iron and cannot rust, period. In Granville Station's humid Wisconsin climate with 822 mm annual rainfall, this distinction matters enormously. To add a margin of safety in any coastal-adjacent environment, Interlock applies its Alunar fluorocarbon finish to both sides of every panel, giving you dual protection. The result: homeowners in far harsher salt-air conditions—from coastal British Columbia to Antarctic research stations—trust Interlock's aluminum panels, which means Milwaukee County's freshwater climate is actually ideal for aluminum longevity.
Are metal roofs safe in high winds? What about Granville Station's gusts?
Interlock's four-way interlocking panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph, and Granville Station's typical gusts peak around 96 km/h (about 60 mph)—well within that safety margin. The interlocking design prevents panel separation even in extreme conditions; the panels lock on all four sides rather than relying on fasteners alone. Milwaukee County's average daily-max winds of roughly 22 km/h are ordinary for this roof system, but the warranty coverage up to 120 mph gives you certainty that severe weather won't compromise your roof's integrity or your home's protection.
What's the hail rating for metal roofing, and does it affect insurance?
Interlock achieves the highest available hail rating: UL 2218 Class 4 impact resistance, the same threshold as underwriter Intertek listing 33876. This means the panels resist hailstones up to 1.5 inches without perforation—a rarity among roofing materials. Because Granville Station sits in a region where severe hail is possible, and because Class 4 rating is statistically rare, insurers often view it as a loss-reduction feature. While discount eligibility varies by carrier, many homeowners see premium reductions that offset the roof's initial cost over 15–20 years. The Guardian warranty separately covers hail perforation, so you're protected from two angles.
Do I need to reinforce my home's structure for a metal roof?
No. Interlock's aluminum panels are extraordinarily lightweight—the Shake profile weighs about 0.58 lb/sq ft, and the Mediterranean Tile (the heaviest) just 0.59 lb/sq ft, making it roughly 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. This means you can install Interlock over most existing roofs without structural modification, a major cost and time advantage. Granville Station homes built for traditional asphalt or even wood shake can upgrade to Interlock's durability without any framing work. The ICC-ES evaluation ESR-1790 confirms installation over existing decks, and the light weight also reduces long-term stress on your home's foundation.
How much maintenance does a metal roof actually need compared to asphalt shingles?
Interlock's aluminum panels require virtually no maintenance—no seasonal inspections, no sealing, no roof coatings. Asphalt shingles need periodic inspection for granule loss, curling, and thermal splitting; wood shake requires treatment for mold and splitting; clay tile needs regrouting. Granville Station's climate—with about 822 mm rain, 88 cm snow, and 3,128 annual sunshine hours—accelerates degradation of organic materials. The CALGreen-verified Interlock system eliminates these tasks because the aluminum panel surface and Alunar coating don't degrade with UV exposure or moisture cycling. You'll spend your time elsewhere while your roof protects your home for 50+ years.
Is a metal roof worth the cost over the lifetime of my home?
Yes, when measured against asphalt's full cycle. Asphalt shingles last 15–20 years in climates like Granville Station (with roughly 79 freeze-thaw days and significant snow), requiring tear-off, haul-away, and reinstallation twice in the time Interlock lasts. The Guardian's lifetime limited warranty—non-prorated for the original owner and transferable for 50 years to the next owner—means you buy one roof, not two or three. Even accounting for a higher initial cost, amortized over 50 years while avoiding labor, disposal fees, and re-roofing inflation, aluminum delivers cost parity or savings. Add the recycled-aluminum resale advantage, and the math favors one intelligent investment.
Do cool-roof colors actually reduce cooling costs in Wisconsin?
Yes, though savings are more modest than in hot climates—but they compound over time. Interlock's energy-efficient colors have thermal emissivity up to 0.84 and solar reflectance reaching 0.55 (in Aged Copper Penny), meaning they reflect heat that dark asphalt absorbs and re-radiates into attics. In Granville Station, with about 3,128 annual sunshine hours, that reflection reduces cooling-load peaks on warm days and lowers attic temperature year-round, extending air-conditioner lifespan and reducing summer utility bills. The Cool Roof Rating Council rating confirms measurable performance. Winter heating loss through the roof is negligible because modern insulation, not the roofing material, controls thermal transfer.
What fire protection does a metal roof offer?
Aluminum is non-combustible and carries a Class A fire rating (the highest available), the only roofing designation that matters in fire underwriting. Interlock's aluminum panels cannot ignite, spread flame, or release smoke—they meet ICC-ES evaluation ESR-1790 and local building codes without question. For Granville Station homeowners, this matters both for insurance (some carriers reward non-combustible roofs with rate reductions) and for peace of mind during wildfire season or in neighborhoods with fire-prone vegetation. Unlike asphalt or wood products, aluminum will never be a fuel source during an external fire, a concrete safety advantage shared by few roofing materials.
