It may be more money than your asphalt shingles, but it is well worth every penny

I love the roof! It looks great and the squirrels that we’re crawling all over my old asphalt roof slide right off it. The snow slides off, too.

I hope to get some $500 referrals. The crew was terrific, hardworking, courtesy, polite, and clean.

No more debris from asphalt shingles accumulating in the gutters

North Battleford, Saskatchewan

5/5

We would like to share our experience with the Interlock Roofing System we purchased in the summer of 2016.

My wife and I live in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Our shingles needed replacing, and we looked at all options, but a metal roof was what we agreed on the most. We saw Interlock shingles on the internet and really liked how they looked.

We really want to emphasize the timeline that was involved in getting our new roof. As I we mentioned, we live in North Battleford. I knew the Interlock office was located in Calgary and the shingles made in British Columbia. Our first concern was the logistics of getting the work done when we were dealing with a company from another province. In the end, this did not matter at all.

Neil Wetherell came to our house on April 15 where more samples were shown, and we agreed on the style of the shingle. An estimate was given, more questions answered and the contract was signed. We found Neil to be knowledgeable, polite and not overly aggressive in selling the Interlock shingles. This was appreciated.

One week later we got a phone call from Shauna Cooper in Calgary. She was our main contact with the whole installation, and we can’t say enough about her. The communication was excellent and timely. The initial call with Shauna was her follow up with our meeting with Neil and letting us know the estimated date for starting the work. There were a few emails back and forth with Shauna, and they were always answered promptly.

We have an older character home which had an old brick chimney. We thought this would be a good time to get it removed. Neil didn’t want to commit that this could be done by Interlock, but Shauna made sure that it could. This was not in the initial estimate, but the price to have this removed was very reasonable.

The Interlock Shingles arrived on site May 15.

The installers gave us one day notice that they would be starting the work and on the morning of May 23rd, they arrived with a crew of four. The installers were nothing but professional. They were all there to work. All safety precautions were observed. They maintained a clean work site. They made time to answer questions I had. On May 24, through no fault of their own, they ran out of materials. They said they would be back in 6 or 7 days and sure enough, they arrived seven days later, and after 3 hours, all work was completed on June 3.

It’s been one year now, and these are some observations so far. The noise from rain is NOT a problem. There is no difference between asphalt or interlock shingles. One really nice surprise is we have the cleanest eavestroughs on the block! No more debris from asphalt shingles accumulating in the gutters. One thing to be aware of is where to place the snow guards. It is a metal roof, and the snow will fall down. Make sure they are placed properly where you want them.

We have no regrets and are very happy with our decision to go with Interlock Shingles. The cost of Interlock Shingles might be a shock to some people, but you have to realize that this is the last roof that you will ever get. The Interlock shingles really complement our home, and we are always getting compliments. I think that says a lot about Interlock Shingles.

Thank you,

Its totally changed the way people view my home. I'm getting all kinds of compliments

5/5

I saw a home on my street that looked so striking; I knocked on the door to ask where they got their roof. The homeowner, Sebastian said that he had researched for years to pick a roof that was a good fit for his family. He chose Interlock.

I called Interlock and was contacted by a salesperson – John. We had a wonderful experience with John’s visit. He was very knowledgeable about the product and was very thorough in his explanation of how the roofing system would be installed.

The installers were very good. They were polite, courteous, and respectful of our property. They kept it very clean. They answered all my questions about what they were doing throughout the installation process. We are so happy that they were able to fix the sag in the roof.

I will install another Interlock roof in a heartbeat on any home I own. Interlock is a great organization – the people are wonderful.

I only wish I had done it earlier. My house looks so nice now. It’s totally changed the way people view my home. I’m getting all kinds of compliments.

Worth every penny as you never have to re-shingle again

Des Plaines, Illinois

5/5

Dear Mr. Mondschean

It has been slightly more than one week since the installation was completed and I thought I would offer the following:

Since completion, we have had two rainstorms, a four-inch snowfall, and minute heavy hailstorm. The only annoying noise experienced (…think of a loud combo of cymbals & snare drums) was during the hailstorm. However, I am sure that with standard shingles, the amplitude would have been the same, only at a lower frequency (i.e. a bowling alley and/or Niagara Falls).

Juan & Alex did an excellent job exercising care around existing installations (i.e. new plantings, aerials, wiring … ) and worked diligently even during the 50mph windy/gusty Wednesday. Upon completion, clean-up was very well done … not perfect, but better than I’ve seen in the last 20 years. Jesse also did well with coordination and follow-up.

I’m impressed with the materials & engineering involved in your roofing system. The interlocking method provides good rigidity & hopefully good liquid seepage resistance, while the individual shingle size should allow proper thermal expansion/contraction to prevent buckling. Visually, I’m completely satisfied. Performance-wise, ask me again in one year after everything has gone through a complete spring-summer-fall-winter cycle, thus establishing the credibility of your advertising propaganda.

Thank you for your efforts.

Sincerely
Ron S.

To Ross Peterson and all the fine folks at Interlock Roofing!

Just want to say how pleased I am with my new roof. I have shown it off to a lot of people in and around my neighborhood. I have recommended 6 or 7 people to give Ross a call if they need a new roof. They say they will; I hope they do. But I am very pleased with the roof and the installation job that was done.

Thanks again!

New roof has transformed this flat-roof '60s Seattle house!

Des Moines, Washington

Jonathan,

Thank you, Interlock Roofing, for providing a high-quality product and professional installation from which we will receive years of permanent protection from the elements. In addition, the really great thing is how the new roof has transformed this flat-roof ’60s Seattle house! We’re not in the ’60s anymore.

We’ve just completed the worst Seattle winter in 30 years, and the application and quality of the materials is beyond expectations. We have been enjoying the roof through the high winter winds and rain and hail and snow of the Pacific Northwest. People ask if it is noisy when it rains. It is even quieter than the old roof we just replaced. The installation only took about four days. Vladimir and Greg, our installers, were very friendly and worked diligently. They took the time to explain what they were going to do and how they were going to do it. Their craftsmanship really shows on the finished roof, even down to the trim around the chimney. It looks great! There is no moss, no mold, and no fir needles.

We won’t hesitate to recommend Interlock Roofing whenever we have an opportunity. This company has developed a product that really measures up to everything it advertises.

Sincerely,

My husband and I would like to thank you for coming to our residence and explaining your product and all of its advantages. We were very impressed at this time and excited to start the beautification process of our home, which has been in my husband’s family for 5 generations now. It has undergone many remodels, upgrades, and changes throughout the years with a lot of help from friends and family. We will be celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The new roof is definitely a wonderful way to do so! The whole Interlock family was friendly and extremely easy to work with from the beginning of this process to the end. The job was started on time and finished when promised. We are very pleased with how smoothly the project went and very thankful that we were not the ones on top of the house!

Definitely worth the wait. We got our estimate and signed on the dotted line in late August, then got our new roof in mid-November. I was a little concerned because we were now into the "rainy" season. I needn't have been. From start to finish the job was done professionally, efficiently, and they even coordinated with the satellite dish person who relocated our dish for us. I actually contacted Interlock and asked for a yard sign to be placed out front because I wanted all my neighbors to know about our beautiful new roof. First rate and I have recommended them to others and will continue to do so.

Two Homes. Two Roofs. One Clear Choice: Why Tim Trusted Interlock in Federal Way, WA

There are choices we make once. Then there are choices we make again—because they were that good the first time.

That’s the story Tim brings us from Federal Way, Washington—a vibrant city tucked between the shimmering Puget Sound and the snow-capped presence of Mount Rainier. It’s where weather can turn on a dime, and salt air, wind, and moisture are part of the landscape. This is where Tim made the same decision twice: he chose Interlock Metal Roofing.

The Full, Unedited 5-Star Review

A Roof That Belongs in the Pacific Northwest

Federal Way, perched just south of Seattle, offers some of the most dynamic weather patterns in the Pacific Northwest. With its proximity to the Puget Sound shoreline—just 5 miles to the west—and stunning views of Mount Rainier less than 30 miles southeast, homes here need more than just “a roof.”

They need protection. Durability. And yes, it is a style that holds up under scrutiny.

Tim’s neighbors were fooled from 20 feet away. They thought his roof was composite. But it was metal—Interlock metal. A blend of engineered strength and crafted beauty, perfectly suited to this region where rain is regular, moss is invasive, and salt air can eat traditional roofing alive.

Why Tim Chose Interlock—Twice

Tim’s first Interlock roof was installed in 2003. More than two decades later, it still looked “almost like new.” That’s not a coincidence—that’s engineering.

When did he move home in 2009? He didn’t hesitate. He installed another Interlock roof.

Here’s why that choice made sense—then, and now:

  • Lifetime Warranty – Install once. Sleep easy.
  • 4-Way Interlocking Design – Holds strong against PNW wind and storm surges.
  • Low-Maintenance – Resists algae, moss, rust, and rot.
  • Energy Efficient – Keeps interiors cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
  • Solar-Ready – Designed for tomorrow’s technology.
  • Stellar Installation Service – Tim says it’s the detail, clarity, and care.
  • Return on Investment – His first home sold over asking during a recession. The roof helped close the deal.

A Federal Way Story, A Universal Truth

This city—rich with parks like Dash Point State Park, rooted in community pride, and home to thousands of homeowners balancing budget, longevity, and looks—represents more than just a dot on the map. It’s a place where smart decisions matter.

And Tim made a smart decision. Twice.

He didn’t just buy a roof. He invested in peace of mind, a legacy of resilience, and curb appeal that fools the eye and delights the wallet. With Interlock, you can trust that your home is protected, come rain or shine.

The Last Roof You’ll Ever Need

Tim isn’t guessing anymore. He’s lived with it, sold with it, and reinvested in it. With Interlock, you’re not just buying a roof; you’re investing in a reliable, long-lasting solution for your home.

His neighbors? They are still replacing theirs.

This isn’t about the cheapest option. It’s about the right one. Because in a place like Federal Way, where nature is gorgeous and relentless, the roof above you shouldn’t be a question mark.

When it comes to the unique challenges of the Pacific Northwest, the answer is clear: Interlock. It’s not just a roof, it’s a solution designed specifically for your home in this beautiful, but demanding, region.

FAQs: Why Metal Roofing is the Best Choice for Point Orchard, WA

Why is metal roofing ideal for Point Roberts’ coastal climate?

Point Roberts is surrounded by Boundary Bay and the Strait of Georgia, meaning homes here are constantly exposed to moisture, salt air, and strong coastal winds. Unlike traditional asphalt shingles, Interlock Metal Roofing is made from aluminum, which will never rust or corrode, making it an ideal long-term solution for coastal environments.

With Point Roberts’ open exposure to ocean winds, homeowners need a roof that can withstand storms and strong gusts. Interlock Metal Roofing features a 4-way interlocking system, which provides exceptional wind resistance—far superior to asphalt shingles that can lift or blow off during storms.

Absolutely! Metal roofing reflects sunlight, keeping homes cooler in the summer, and provides excellent insulation in the winter, reducing heating costs. This means lower energy bills year-round, which is especially beneficial in Point Roberts’ mild but varied climate.
Asphalt shingles absorb moisture and are prone to moss, algae, and mold growth, which are common in humid, coastal regions like Point Roberts. Metal roofing naturally resists moss and mold, requires virtually zero maintenance, and retains its structural integrity for decades, unlike shingles that crack, curl, and deteriorate over time.

Yes! Durable, long-lasting roofing is a major selling point for homes, especially in areas like Point Roberts where the elements can take a toll on traditional roofs. Buyers are willing to pay more for a roof with a lifetime warranty, low maintenance, and superior weather protection—all features of an Interlock Metal Roof.

Yes! Interlock Metal Roofing is made from 95% recyclable materials, unlike asphalt shingles that contribute to millions of tons of landfill waste every year. Plus, Interlock roofs are solar-compatible, making them the perfect choice for homeowners looking to install solar panels and embrace sustainable energy solutions.

No! Interlock Metal Roofs come with a lifetime limited warranty, meaning homeowners in Point Roberts will never have to re-roof again. Unlike asphalt shingles that need replacing every 15-20 years, an Interlock Metal Roof is a one-time investment that lasts for generations.

Living in a marine climate means dealing with frequent rainfall and storms. Metal roofing is watertight, sheds rain efficiently, and prevents leaks, unlike shingles that can trap moisture and develop rot over time.

Yes! Interlock Metal Roofing can be installed over an existing asphalt roof, reducing waste and speeding up installation. Plus, it’s lightweight compared to tile or concrete roofing, making it a great retrofit option for existing homes.

Interlock Metal Roofs come in beautiful slate, shingle, cedar, and tile profiles with a variety of designer colors, including Tudor Brown, Deep Charcoal, and Classic Black. This allows homeowners to choose a stylish, high-end look that enhances the coastal charm of Point Roberts homes.
