I think the issue was just that our roofing was installed while there was still snow on the ground, and so perfect (or at least excellent) clean-up was impossible. I don't fault the installers as I think they did the best they could. Perhaps from a scheduling perspective however, next time (for somebody else obviously), should assure that the spring melt has been significant prior to installation.

The team did make a great effort at protecting the landscape. The biggest concern was they didn't ask about the gutter helmet I had on the garage gutters before installing the new roof.
