What our customers are saying:
Thanks for a very positive roofing experience! Our new roof is so beautiful we’re thinking of charging a fee to all the gawking neighbors that stop by to admire it!!! This was fun, positive experience from start to finish. Our sales rep spent three hours at our home going over every possible detail with us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions. As you can see by the pictures we have a pretty basic roof. There was no tear off to do; still, our three installers were 80% done on the very first day! Everything was done and cleaned up to our satisfaction by the end of day two. Our installers were friendly, courteous and hard working. I watched them for a few minutes as they all worked like a finely tuned machine installing our roof in perfect rhythm. For us, Interlock meant that the third time was the charm. We’d tried to do business with two other companies. The first took a large amount of money as a down payment and gave absolutely no customer service for two months. We got our money back and started over. The second company gave an inaccurate bid. Needless to say, we entered into this contract with some trepidation. interlock is a fabulous company and we’d recommend them to anyone in the market for a new roof!
We are writing this letter to show our appreciation for the wonderful job that was done on our roof. From the date your company representative met with us in our home to the date of completion, words cannot express how completely satisfied we are with your company. We definitely wanted a quality roof and were very impressed by the representation that was given to us. The product you provide was enough for us to make our decision, however it was a huge plus not to have to deal with a pushy salesman and to have such polite, friendly and hard working men providing the service. It was a pleasure to have them around our home. The quality, craftsmanship and lifetime warranty of this roof far outweighs the increased costs over other roof systems. However, other roof systems don't come with lifetime warranties and many only last for 8 to 10 years. We may have paid a little more initially, but how wonderful it is to know we will never have to re-roof our home again. And in addition to all of the above, it looks so beautiful and has added so much style to our home. I never dreamed a roof could make such a difference. Again, Thank you so much and be sure to know we will highly recommend your company to all of our family and friends.
I am very pleased with the entire experience with Interlock Roofing. Ross did a fantastic job of showing me all of the options available, and explaining how Interlock is different from other roofing. This was not a hard sales pitch. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable a metal roof was. I had five other estimates for a traditional composite roof, and the price difference for a forever roof was negligible considering all the benefits. Next, the installation. These guys were amazing! Only two guys doing the demo and reroof, but very hard workers and did a fantastic job. It seems rare these days to find skilled tradesmen that take pride in their work, and these guys exceeded my expectations. I also took advantage of Interlock’s financing. Drew was very helpful and accommodating. The whole process was taken care of through Interlock, making it super convenient and great communication throughout. I will highly recommend:)
We just wanted to let you know how thoroughly-pleased we are with our new Interlock Roof. It is absolutely beautiful and we have had a lot of people stopping as they walk or drive by to admire how nice it looks. Everything progressed on the job exactly as you had shared with us when we signed the contract. There were no surprises. From the beginning when we got the call to set up a start date, to the final clean up and retrieval of the waste bin everything was handled so professionally. Viktor and Alex were a dream to work with-so-pleasant and each day everything was left so tidy that it would have been hard for guests to tell that we were in the middle of a re-roofing job. We will highly recommend your product and doing business with such a professional and obviously well run company.
I have already recommended them. Those guys were amazing. Peter, Victor, and the other installation guys were just unbelievable. It is a great company, and they did a great job with my roof. I get compliments all the time. It was a wonderful experience. They did a wonderful job on the house. It looks fantastic.
Interlock Roofing is amazing. From the first day I met their salesman to the day they started work on our barn and house. They were very easy to talk to and express our concern about how important it was to keep our hay safe from rain and the ground around the barn safe for the animals. They were fast exceptionally clean and so much fun to get to know. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone who wants to have a roof that will last a life time. Thank you for an amazing job and two beautiful roofs!
My wife and I want to express our complete satisfaction with the "Aged Copper" roof your firm installed on our "Barn-house" and gazebo. The two roofs have a high quality appearance and they enhance the looks of the property. We are looking forward to many years of satisfaction. We are now planning to re-paint the house with a color to better blend with the roof. The work performed by your installers was outstanding. They were friendly and very professional. They worked efficiently and energetically, and it was obvious they had the skills to do the job. Thank you for being such an excellent firm.
My husband and I would like to thank you for coming to our residence and explaining your product and all of its advantages. We were very impressed at this time and excited to start the beautification process of our home, which has been in my husband’s family for 5 generations now. It has undergone many remodels, upgrades, and changes throughout the years with a lot of help from friends and family. We will be celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The new roof is definitely a wonderful way to do so! The whole Interlock family was friendly and extremely easy to work with from the beginning of this process to the end. The job was started on time and finished when promised. We are very pleased with how smoothly the project went and very thankful that we were not the ones on top of the house!
HELLO! I am Gerry from Olympia, Washington. A few years ago, I had my re-roofing done by INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for my house here in Olympia. I would like to thank the INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for the best, beautiful metal roof I ever had; the color choice never changed in spite of the weather condition here in Washington. So, if you want your home to deserving a thorough, keen, professional touch, quality, and professionalism, I would highly recommend INTERLOCK LIFETIME ROOFING SYSTEMS for your COMPLETE METAL ROOFING.
We both work for Nordstrom and have come to expect a certain level of customer service. Both Paul and Ross were exceptional in this regard. They were knowledgeable friendly and very thorough! I would highly recommend interlock for anyone looking into metal roof options.
The roof is absolutely beautiful and compliments our home. The work was fast and professional. Communication about scheduling. Clean up of job site. We absolutely love the roof.
We were extremely pleased with Interlock Roofing as our selection to install an aluminum roof on our house and two outbuildings. The installation team were extremely hard workers and were always courteous and conscientious and left our project very clean. We would highly recommend all of them to anyone interested in a new roof including Paul Wright and the administration staff. Ron and Joanne Quiring nothing

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Skamokawa
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Skamokawa, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Skamokawa.
How does a metal roof handle Skamokawa's heavy snow and freeze-thaw cycles?
Metal roofs shed snow naturally because aluminum expands and contracts with temperature swings—about 34 freeze-thaw days per year in this region won't cause cracking or buckling the way asphalt or wood can. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels create a seamless surface that prevents ice dams and water pooling during Skamokawa's ~49 cm annual snowfall. The smooth profiles (Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, Tile, Standing Seam) all channel meltwater outward, reducing the weight stress on your frame and gutters compared to materials that trap and hold frozen layers.
Does a metal roof actually stay dry with Skamokawa's 1578 mm of annual rainfall?
Yes—the four-way interlocking panel design is explicitly rated under ICC-ES ESR-1790 for heavy-rainfall climates, and water flows off the overlapped seams by design rather than pooling in valleys. Skamokawa receives about 1578 mm of rain yearly, but metal's hard surface sheds water instantly; it doesn't absorb it the way asphalt shingles do, which can degrade and leak after years of saturation. When installed to spec over solid decking and underlayment, Interlock panels route every raindrop downward in a continuous path that prevents the slow seepage problems that plague softer materials in wet Pacific Northwest conditions.
Will a metal roof blow off in Skamokawa's windstorms?
No—the four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h), well above the ~103 km/h gusts typical of this region. Because each panel locks to its neighbors on all four sides, wind cannot find an edge to lift; the system distributes force across the entire roof rather than concentrating stress on fasteners. Skamokawa's prevailing winds average about 15 km/h with occasional stronger gusts, so an Interlock installation will outperform asphalt (which begins lifting at lower speeds) and outlast the service life of competitors' single-lock or snap-lock designs.
Can hail or falling debris damage a metal roof in Skamokawa?
Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4—the highest impact rating available—and the Guardian Warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches, a protection no asphalt or wood roof offers. While hail is not common in Skamokawa's climate data, the armor-grade aluminum resists puncture from airborne debris (branches, gravel kicked up by wind gusts to 103 km/h) better than brittle materials. Some insurers offer premium discounts for Class 4 metal roofing; contact your agent with your roof's UL rating, and you may recoup installation costs through lower premiums over 10–15 years.
Why doesn't aluminum rust like steel roofing does?
Aluminum contains no iron—iron is what rusts when exposed to moisture and oxygen. Interlock uses roofing-grade 3105-H24 / 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) topped with Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating on both sides, which means even if the top coat scratches, the aluminum's natural oxide layer self-heals and prevents corrosion. In Skamokawa's rainy climate (~1578 mm annually) and freeze-thaw cycles, this is transformative: steel competitors corrode from the inside out, while aluminum simply ages without structural failure. The 30-year coating warranty protects against chalk and fade—not corrosion—because corrosion is not a failure mode for aluminum.
Do I need to reinforce my roof frame for a metal roof installation?
No—Interlock's aluminum is extraordinarily light. The Cedar Shingle profile installs at ~0.41 lb/sq ft and the Mediterranean Tile at ~0.59 lb/sq ft, about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile, so it installs over most existing roofs without structural work. This weight advantage matters in Skamokawa, where the roof must support not just the material itself but also snow accumulation (about 49 cm annually) and water weight from 1578 mm of rain. Asphalt shingles must be torn off and hauled to landfill; Interlock installs directly over your old roof, saving labor and protecting your frame from the stress of heavier materials.
How much upkeep does a metal roof need compared to asphalt or wood?
Metal requires virtually none. Asphalt shingles need annual inspection and repairs (granule loss, curl, splits) every 10–15 years; wood shakes invite moss, rot, and insect damage in wet climates—Skamokawa's 1578 mm annual rainfall accelerates this decay. Interlock is CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance: aluminum doesn't rot, split, curl, or crumble. Leaves may collect in valleys (any roof has gutters), but the non-porous surface resists algae growth that plagues asphalt. Over a 50-year lifespan, the labor and chemical costs to maintain competitor materials often exceed the price of the Interlock installation itself, especially in high-moisture regions with 2757 annual sunshine hours—UV exposure that fast-ages asphalt coatings.
What makes the Guardian Warranty different from standard roof warranties?
The Guardian is a non-prorated lifetime limited material warranty for the original owner—it covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance without depreciation, for as long as you own the home. The warranty is one-time transferable, giving the next owner 50 years of coverage from installation date. Most asphalt warranties are prorated (pay more after 5 years), limited to 20–25 years, and non-transferable; wood shakes are rarely warranted against rot. In Skamokawa's freeze-thaw and wet climate, the peace of mind that your roof won't fail from material defect over decades is genuine security.
Is a metal roof really cheaper than asphalt over 40+ years?
Yes, when you account for the full cost of ownership. Asphalt requires replacement every 15–25 years (three to four cycles over 50 years); each tear-off, disposal, and new installation costs $8,000–$15,000+. Wood shakes need treatments, repairs, and replacement every 20–30 years. Interlock installs once, covers your existing roof (eliminating disposal), and rarely needs repair. The Alunar coating is warranted 30 years against fading and chalking; the aluminum frame outlasts buildings. Skamokawa's 1578 mm rainfall and 34 annual freeze-thaw cycles accelerate asphalt degradation, shortening its effective life. Current promotion: no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation—both lower the entry cost.
Is a metal roof fire-safe if wildfires ever threaten the area?
Yes—Interlock aluminum is non-combustible and rated Class A fire classification when specified, which means it will not ignite or contribute fuel to a fire (unlike asphalt or wood, which are Class C or D). The ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790 (reissued 2025 for IBC/IRC code compliance) documents this performance. Aluminum's non-combustibility matters not just for external wildfire risk but also for internal fire safety: a spark on the roof won't propagate flame. Skamokawa's climate includes ~2757 hours of annual sunshine and occasional dry periods between rainfall; while the region is not high-fire-danger like eastern Washington, specifying a Class A roof adds a valuable layer of protection and may qualify you for homeowner insurance discounts.
Is a metal roof a good choice for Skamokawa’s climate?
Yes. Skamokawa averages about 49 cm of snow, 1578 mm of rain, roughly 34 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 103 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
