What our customers are saying:
Your home is your greatest investment, sheltering you from the storms. Don’t nickel and dime yourself when choosing a roof, you get what you pay for. We chose Interlock aluminum roofing for our house, and are totally pleased with it. Aluminum doesn’t rust period. The current rage of steel roofing is a racket preying on uninformed consumers who want something for next to nothing. Steel roofs are coated to prevent rust. However, once these coatings wear off rust sets in. I have personally seen an 18 year-old steel roof with significant rusting after the coating was gone. Do yourself a favor, get an Interlock aluminum roof. Dean Landers 5 star review June 9/2026 Janesville WI
I had Interlock put on a beautiful red slate roof 17 years ago.The roof still looks beautiful. 5 years ago, I had them also re-roof my garage with the same type of slate. The roofs look gorgeous and I have no maintenance whatsoever.I get complements all the time. The guy whom I contracted with was named "Tim' but has since died. He was a really nice guy. Back in 2009, the roof was much cheaper. ( I actually paid more for the garage 5 years ago!) I am extremely happy with the roofs. The guys did a wonderful job, replacing rotted boards where necessary. They also told me about very cheap gutters I could buy at Menards instead of those ridiculously - priced "special" gutter systems. I bought them and they placed them on my buildings. This home will go to my daughter one day; I do not want her to have to lift a finger. Note that I had an asphalt roof previously. It lasted only 12 years. The shingles curled up under the sun and cracked. They looked terrible. I can honestly say that these metals roofs by Interlock are very much worth what you pay for them. They will last a lifetime with almost no maintenance. Instead of replacing a roof every 15 years and paying lots for asphalt or fiberglass, their metal roofs last very long and you will never have to re- roof again.
Our experience with having our Interlock roof installed was exceptional. It was installed during the hottest days of the year, and none of our neighbors could believe the installers were working so hard during the hot, muggy weather. They finished several days ahead of schedule and left the yard clean and neat, even after a complete tear-off of three layers of roofing. One day during the installation, we had a rain storm, and the installers all took shelter in their vehicles. I noticed that we had a leak in a spot that had clearly had leaks before we bought the house. When I pointed it out to the installers, they went up the ladder in the pouring rain, found the cause of the problem (which, again, was a pre-existing problem, not one due to the Interlock installation) and fixed it on the spot. The service was exceptional.
We purchased our roof in 2009 and as you can see from the pictures taken in May of 2017, our roof looks as new as the day we bought it. Here are the things we have noticed most about our Interlock Lifetime Roof over the last 8 years. It keeps our house much cooler in the summer than the asphalt roof we used to have. It really sheds snow, and the snow guards work great. We never need to use a snow rake. We love the durability and the curb appeal. Greg Weber our representative, who we were enthused to learn, is still with the company. When we saw him in 2009 he laid out all the variables in a professional way and our Interlock Roof has lived up to all of our expectations and promises he made. All companies promise results, service, and quality. Interlock delivers.
The installation was super smooth. Every installer was courteous and professional. We get lots of compliments, and people stop by all the time to admire it. One of the biggest misconceptions about metal roofing is people think it’s loud. Our Interlock roof is very silent. The only way I know if it’s raining is if I look out a window. Also, the snow just slides off. We are also in a wind tunnel area, and we have never lost an Interlock shingle, and we have had the roof for many years. We were so pleased with our Interlock roof that we put the same roof on our lake home in northern Wisconsin. We get a lot more snow up there and the Interlock’s snow-shedding performance capabilities are second to none on that roof, too!
First off, the installation crew was great! They worked very hard, took short breaks, and completed the job very efficiently. Greg Weber, our sales representative, told us an Interlock Roof was more energy efficient than asphalt, and one of the major things we noticed over the years is how much cooler our home office upstairs is in the summertime and warmer it is in the wintertime. It’s a dramatic difference from our old asphalt roof. We have had a few neighbors even question why we invested more in an Interlock roof than a typical asphalt roof, and we always smile and say, “Everybody complains about spending money. Do you want to complain about it once or multiple times, and do you want to be all in to have the best, or not in, and hope for the best.” Thank you, Interlock!
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems, The installation was terrific. Jessie and his crew were very nice, polite, and clean and worked together like a well-oiled machine. If I was to have work done on my home for any type of project, this is the team I would recommend and would want to work on my house. Greg Weber, my sales representative, answered all my questions, set the proper expectations, and over delivered in every aspect. We had a major rainstorm shortly after the installation, and we noticed no difference in sound at all. Our Interlock roof is the talk of the neighborhood.
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems: We purchased our Interlock Lifetime Roof in June 2014. We are very happy with the look, durability of the material, and finish. After a snowfall, the heat of the sun will warm the roof and allow the snow to shed from the roof. We have a great sense of security, knowing it can withstand higher winds than conventional asphalt. In fact, our neighbors lost many shingles in the last major wind storm, and our Interlock roof proved to be the high wind resistance product it is with all shingles intact. We love the fact it’s more reliable and has peace of mind knowing it has lots of longevity and will look brand new not only now but down the road. We also received a discount on our homeowner’s insurance. Overall, we were very satisfied with our sales representative Greg Weber, the company, the service, and the product.
We have been do-it-yourselfer homeowners our whole lives. We are very handy and capable when it comes to home improvements and appreciate craftsmanship and quality. And that’s what Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems provided us with our roof. Craftsmanship and quality. Plus, durability, beauty, and experience from a company that manufactures and certify install its own product. That is something, a company that makes its own product, that was very important to us, and no other company in our market offered that, except Interlock. Another thing that was important was we didn’t want to have to deal with rust because many steel metal roofs look good new but look old and hideous down the road because of fading and rusting. Interlock is aluminum. So, it won’t rust, and it achieves and exceeds the highest rating of hail resistance. So, it’s like we said earlier – super durable! Jessie and his crew were super and hard working. We were amazed by their work ethic. That’s something that’s becoming rare nowadays. Also, we were told by a competitor that Greg Weber and Interlock would be high-pressure. That was the furthest thing from the truth. Greg was polite, personable, and knowledgeable and helped us sift through the “lesser quality, cheaper installation, sales gimmicky and overly aggressive” competitors. He provided us with a detailed range of the competition by laying out all the variables so we could make an intelligent comparison and decision. Greg helped save us a lot of time from all the other companies in our market selling what everyone else is selling or just selling stuff and making promises they can’t keep. All the asphalt guys want you to believe that their products will last, and all the steel companies want you to believe their products won’t rust, and everybody knows… That’s Just Not True! Interlock has proven itself for over four decades. That’s Impressive. That’s why we went with them, Jessie and Greg.
In March 2017 we had an Interlock Lifetime Roof installed. Greg Weber, the salesman, was not pushy. We were very impressed with his salesmanship and the product. He also offered to have the Interlock product put on our wishing well in the front yard. That was something we really appreciated. The clean-up was excellent! Many neighbors and people who " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by the house have noticed the roof and asked a lot of questions. We have gotten lots of compliments!
We visited the booth Interlock had at the Remodelling Show at State Fair Park. We got a lot of excellent information there and left our number for a call-back. We did receive the call back promptly and got an appointment right away. The estimator showed up on time and thoroughly explained the process, the product choices and the costs. We signed up for a new metal roof that evening because the advantages were so many, and the expense over time was not much different from regular shingles. This metal roof will probably outlive us! The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. Instead, a heavy, rainy week intervened, and we did get water in our kitchen. It took a while to get someone to call me back and that was frustrating because it damaged our kitchen ceiling. Ultimately, though, I did get a call, and the work was expedited to the following day. The roofers did the entire installation in one day and did a great job. The roof is beautiful, and we have many people stopping and looking at the wonderful work and superior materials. I know the company will honor their promise to pay for the damage to the kitchen. Once that is done, all is well. The experience wasn’t perfect, but it was as close as mother nature and shipping glitches allowed.
The Interlock crew was able to take some extra time to coordinate with another contractor for solar installation. As a result, the final the result looks great and very functional. The materials used are very high quality, and they worked efficiently and cleaned up when finished.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Greenbush
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Greenbush, Wisconsin. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Greenbush.
Will a metal roof survive Wisconsin's freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or degrading?
Yes—aluminum actually thrives in freeze-thaw climates because it has no grain structure to split under stress. Greenbush experiences about 84 freeze-thaw days per year, a condition that cracks asphalt, wood shakes, and concrete tile. Aluminum expands and contracts uniformly; the roofing-grade 3105-H24 alloy was engineered for exactly these swings. The self-healing oxide layer protects against corrosion at every micro-expansion point. Your roof flexes with the season rather than fracturing.
How does a metal roof handle Greenbush's 105 centimeters of annual snow and ice buildup?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice more readily than asphalt because the smooth, interlocked surface offers less friction for ice to grip. The four-way interlocking aluminum panels meet ICC-ES ESR-1790 standards for snow load in your region. Snow guards are easily added to prevent hazardous slides and protect landscaping below. The lightweight design—Slate at just 0.41 lb per square foot—means no structural reinforcement is needed to handle Wisconsin snow accumulation, saving thousands in framing upgrades that slate or concrete tile would require.
Why won't an aluminum metal roof rust in Wisconsin's wet climate?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron; instead, a self-healing oxide layer forms instantly when the metal surface is exposed to air. This is why Interlock panels have been installed since 1998 in coastal salt-air environments and even on Antarctic research stations without corrosion failure. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish is applied to both sides of every panel for extra protection, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading. In Greenbush's ~740 mm of annual rainfall, that oxide barrier regenerates automatically—you'll never see rust stains running down your gutters.
Can an aluminum metal roof withstand Wisconsin wind gusts without lifting or failing?
Interlock's four-way interlocking panels are warranted to resist winds up to 120 mph when installed to specification—well above Greenbush's typical gusts of about 99 km/h. The interlocking design distributes wind loads across the entire panel assembly rather than concentrating force on fasteners. That mechanical redundancy is why the system performs under extreme conditions without specialized bracing. Your roof stays seated through the Wisconsin wind season and beyond, with no risk of uplift from seasonal storms.
What's the hail rating for a metal roof, and will my insurance company care?
Interlock metal roofing carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest classification available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. That performance often leads insurers to offer discounts on premiums because the risk of weather-related claims drops dramatically compared to asphalt. The aluminum alloy's elasticity absorbs impact without cracking or creating openings for water intrusion. Contact your agent with the UL 2218 Class 4 rating; many Wisconsin homeowners have recouped their roof investment through insurance savings within five to ten years.
Is a metal roof really the last roof I'll ever need to buy?
Yes, if you stay in your home long enough. An aluminum metal roof outlasts three to four conventional asphalt roofs. While the upfront cost is higher, the math flips decisively over 30+ years: no tear-offs, no landfill fees, no labor for replacement, no repeated patching during Wisconsin's 84 annual freeze-thaw cycles that accelerate asphalt aging. The Guardian lifetime limited warranty (non-prorated for the original owner) eliminates the surprise replacement bill that catches most homeowners off guard. Viewed as a one-time expense rather than a 15-year cycle, metal roofing is the last roof you buy.
Can my house's frame support a metal roof, or will I need expensive structural reinforcement?
No reinforcement needed. Interlock's Mediterranean Tile profile, which visually replicates heavy clay or concrete tile, weighs just 0.59 lb per square foot—about 96% lighter than the actual tile it mimics. Your home's existing structure can support metal roofing without any framing upgrades. In fact, you can install it directly over most existing roofs, saving the labor and disposal costs of a full tear-off. That's a budget advantage that compounds quickly in Greenbush, where the ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation confirms installation over current sheathing without reinforcement.
What's the timeline and mess involved in installing a metal roof in Greenbush?
Installation typically takes 2–4 days depending on roof complexity and weather. Because aluminum panels are lightweight and pre-formed, crews work faster than with traditional materials. Many roofs install directly over existing shingles without tear-off, which eliminates weeks of debris management and disposal costs. Your contractor secures panels with a few fasteners per panel, then the four-way interlock seals the seams—no complex flashing or extended curing times. Weather in Greenbush with about 3,127 annual sunshine hours often allows crews to complete the job in optimal conditions, and the roof is immediately weather-tight and functional.
Is metal roofing actually better for the environment than asphalt shingles?
Aluminum roofing eliminates the asphalt tear-off-to-landfill cycle. Interlock panels are approximately 95% recyclable at end of life, versus asphalt shingles that destined for landfill and rarely recovered. Over a building's lifetime, one aluminum roof replaces four asphalt roofs, preventing roughly 40 tons of waste per home. The material is CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance and durability, meaning you avoid the environmental cost of repeated manufacturing, transport, and disposal. In Greenbush, choosing metal roofing means one roof installed in your lifetime rather than a new manufacturing and waste cycle every 15 years.
Will a metal roof keep my home cooler and lower my air conditioning bill?
energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect significant solar heat rather than absorb it the way asphalt does. The Aged Copper Penny finish, for example, achieves initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, both Cool Roof Rating Council verified. In Greenbush, with about 3,127 annual sunshine hours, that reflectance meaningfully reduces attic and interior temperatures during warm months. Metal roofing won't eliminate air conditioning needs in a Wisconsin summer, but it lowers the cooling load compared to dark asphalt. The energy savings compound over decades, and energy-efficiency certification qualifies some homeowners for utility rebates.
