What our customers are saying:
Your home is your greatest investment, sheltering you from the storms. Don’t nickel and dime yourself when choosing a roof, you get what you pay for. We chose Interlock aluminum roofing for our house, and are totally pleased with it. Aluminum doesn’t rust period. The current rage of steel roofing is a racket preying on uninformed consumers who want something for next to nothing. Steel roofs are coated to prevent rust. However, once these coatings wear off rust sets in. I have personally seen an 18 year-old steel roof with significant rusting after the coating was gone. Do yourself a favor, get an Interlock aluminum roof. Dean Landers 5 star review June 9/2026 Janesville WI
I had Interlock put on a beautiful red slate roof 17 years ago.The roof still looks beautiful. 5 years ago, I had them also re-roof my garage with the same type of slate. The roofs look gorgeous and I have no maintenance whatsoever.I get complements all the time. The guy whom I contracted with was named "Tim' but has since died. He was a really nice guy. Back in 2009, the roof was much cheaper. ( I actually paid more for the garage 5 years ago!) I am extremely happy with the roofs. The guys did a wonderful job, replacing rotted boards where necessary. They also told me about very cheap gutters I could buy at Menards instead of those ridiculously - priced "special" gutter systems. I bought them and they placed them on my buildings. This home will go to my daughter one day; I do not want her to have to lift a finger. Note that I had an asphalt roof previously. It lasted only 12 years. The shingles curled up under the sun and cracked. They looked terrible. I can honestly say that these metals roofs by Interlock are very much worth what you pay for them. They will last a lifetime with almost no maintenance. Instead of replacing a roof every 15 years and paying lots for asphalt or fiberglass, their metal roofs last very long and you will never have to re- roof again.
Our experience with having our Interlock roof installed was exceptional. It was installed during the hottest days of the year, and none of our neighbors could believe the installers were working so hard during the hot, muggy weather. They finished several days ahead of schedule and left the yard clean and neat, even after a complete tear-off of three layers of roofing. One day during the installation, we had a rain storm, and the installers all took shelter in their vehicles. I noticed that we had a leak in a spot that had clearly had leaks before we bought the house. When I pointed it out to the installers, they went up the ladder in the pouring rain, found the cause of the problem (which, again, was a pre-existing problem, not one due to the Interlock installation) and fixed it on the spot. The service was exceptional.
We purchased our roof in 2009 and as you can see from the pictures taken in May of 2017, our roof looks as new as the day we bought it. Here are the things we have noticed most about our Interlock Lifetime Roof over the last 8 years. It keeps our house much cooler in the summer than the asphalt roof we used to have. It really sheds snow, and the snow guards work great. We never need to use a snow rake. We love the durability and the curb appeal. Greg Weber our representative, who we were enthused to learn, is still with the company. When we saw him in 2009 he laid out all the variables in a professional way and our Interlock Roof has lived up to all of our expectations and promises he made. All companies promise results, service, and quality. Interlock delivers.
The installation was super smooth. Every installer was courteous and professional. We get lots of compliments, and people stop by all the time to admire it. One of the biggest misconceptions about metal roofing is people think it’s loud. Our Interlock roof is very silent. The only way I know if it’s raining is if I look out a window. Also, the snow just slides off. We are also in a wind tunnel area, and we have never lost an Interlock shingle, and we have had the roof for many years. We were so pleased with our Interlock roof that we put the same roof on our lake home in northern Wisconsin. We get a lot more snow up there and the Interlock’s snow-shedding performance capabilities are second to none on that roof, too!
First off, the installation crew was great! They worked very hard, took short breaks, and completed the job very efficiently. Greg Weber, our sales representative, told us an Interlock Roof was more energy efficient than asphalt, and one of the major things we noticed over the years is how much cooler our home office upstairs is in the summertime and warmer it is in the wintertime. It’s a dramatic difference from our old asphalt roof. We have had a few neighbors even question why we invested more in an Interlock roof than a typical asphalt roof, and we always smile and say, “Everybody complains about spending money. Do you want to complain about it once or multiple times, and do you want to be all in to have the best, or not in, and hope for the best.” Thank you, Interlock!
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems, The installation was terrific. Jessie and his crew were very nice, polite, and clean and worked together like a well-oiled machine. If I was to have work done on my home for any type of project, this is the team I would recommend and would want to work on my house. Greg Weber, my sales representative, answered all my questions, set the proper expectations, and over delivered in every aspect. We had a major rainstorm shortly after the installation, and we noticed no difference in sound at all. Our Interlock roof is the talk of the neighborhood.
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems: We purchased our Interlock Lifetime Roof in June 2014. We are very happy with the look, durability of the material, and finish. After a snowfall, the heat of the sun will warm the roof and allow the snow to shed from the roof. We have a great sense of security, knowing it can withstand higher winds than conventional asphalt. In fact, our neighbors lost many shingles in the last major wind storm, and our Interlock roof proved to be the high wind resistance product it is with all shingles intact. We love the fact it’s more reliable and has peace of mind knowing it has lots of longevity and will look brand new not only now but down the road. We also received a discount on our homeowner’s insurance. Overall, we were very satisfied with our sales representative Greg Weber, the company, the service, and the product.
We have been do-it-yourselfer homeowners our whole lives. We are very handy and capable when it comes to home improvements and appreciate craftsmanship and quality. And that’s what Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems provided us with our roof. Craftsmanship and quality. Plus, durability, beauty, and experience from a company that manufactures and certify install its own product. That is something, a company that makes its own product, that was very important to us, and no other company in our market offered that, except Interlock. Another thing that was important was we didn’t want to have to deal with rust because many steel metal roofs look good new but look old and hideous down the road because of fading and rusting. Interlock is aluminum. So, it won’t rust, and it achieves and exceeds the highest rating of hail resistance. So, it’s like we said earlier – super durable! Jessie and his crew were super and hard working. We were amazed by their work ethic. That’s something that’s becoming rare nowadays. Also, we were told by a competitor that Greg Weber and Interlock would be high-pressure. That was the furthest thing from the truth. Greg was polite, personable, and knowledgeable and helped us sift through the “lesser quality, cheaper installation, sales gimmicky and overly aggressive” competitors. He provided us with a detailed range of the competition by laying out all the variables so we could make an intelligent comparison and decision. Greg helped save us a lot of time from all the other companies in our market selling what everyone else is selling or just selling stuff and making promises they can’t keep. All the asphalt guys want you to believe that their products will last, and all the steel companies want you to believe their products won’t rust, and everybody knows… That’s Just Not True! Interlock has proven itself for over four decades. That’s Impressive. That’s why we went with them, Jessie and Greg.
In March 2017 we had an Interlock Lifetime Roof installed. Greg Weber, the salesman, was not pushy. We were very impressed with his salesmanship and the product. He also offered to have the Interlock product put on our wishing well in the front yard. That was something we really appreciated. The clean-up was excellent! Many neighbors and people who " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by the house have noticed the roof and asked a lot of questions. We have gotten lots of compliments!
We visited the booth Interlock had at the Remodelling Show at State Fair Park. We got a lot of excellent information there and left our number for a call-back. We did receive the call back promptly and got an appointment right away. The estimator showed up on time and thoroughly explained the process, the product choices and the costs. We signed up for a new metal roof that evening because the advantages were so many, and the expense over time was not much different from regular shingles. This metal roof will probably outlive us! The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. Instead, a heavy, rainy week intervened, and we did get water in our kitchen. It took a while to get someone to call me back and that was frustrating because it damaged our kitchen ceiling. Ultimately, though, I did get a call, and the work was expedited to the following day. The roofers did the entire installation in one day and did a great job. The roof is beautiful, and we have many people stopping and looking at the wonderful work and superior materials. I know the company will honor their promise to pay for the damage to the kitchen. Once that is done, all is well. The experience wasn’t perfect, but it was as close as mother nature and shipping glitches allowed.
The Interlock crew was able to take some extra time to coordinate with another contractor for solar installation. As a result, the final the result looks great and very functional. The materials used are very high quality, and they worked efficiently and cleaned up when finished.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Mount Mary
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Mount Mary, Wisconsin. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Mount Mary.
How does a metal roof handle Mount Mary's snow and ice buildup?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice more effectively than asphalt because their smooth, hard surface resists adhesion—critical when you're facing about 88 cm of snow annually and roughly 79 freeze-thaw cycles each year. The four-way interlocking aluminum panels won't crack, split, or curl from that freeze-thaw stress, unlike wood or standard asphalt. Interlock's lightweight design (0.41 to 0.59 lb/sq ft depending on profile) means no structural concerns even with snow load, and you can add snow guards if aesthetics matter to you. The aluminum alloy's oxide layer self-heals after minor scratches from ice movement, so seasonal expansion-contraction won't compromise the roof's integrity over decades.
Will Wisconsin's freeze-thaw cycles damage an aluminum metal roof?
No—freeze-thaw cycling actually highlights why aluminum outlasts asphalt and wood in Mount Mary. Your region experiences about 79 freeze-thaw days per year, and roofing materials that absorb moisture (asphalt, wood shakes, concrete tile) crack and delaminate under that stress. Aluminum cannot rust or rot because it contains no iron; it expands and contracts with temperature swings but doesn't degrade. The 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) used in Interlock panels is engineered for exactly this climate. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating—warranted for 30 years against chalking and fading—protects the underlying metal through thousands of seasonal cycles without losing its reflectivity or structural integrity.
Can my Mount Mary home support a metal roof, or do I need structural work?
Your existing house structure almost certainly supports a metal roof without reinforcement—that's the aluminum advantage. The Interlock Mediterranean Tile profile, which replicates heavy clay or concrete tile, installs at just 0.59 lb/sq ft, making it roughly 96% lighter than the authentic material. Even the heavier Shake profile weighs only 0.58 lb/sq ft. This means the roof can install directly over your existing asphalt or wood shingles in most cases, saving thousands in tear-off and structural engineering costs. The four-way interlocking panels distribute loads evenly across your framing, so no bracing, reinforced trusses, or foundation work is needed—a major advantage over slate or genuine tile that would require costly structural upgrades.
Why can't an aluminum roof rust like a steel metal roof?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—iron is what oxidizes and corrodes in steel. When aluminum is exposed to air, it forms a thin, invisible oxide layer that actually protects the metal underneath; if that layer is scratched, it self-heals within weeks. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) is paired with a Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating applied to both sides of every panel, adding a 30-year warranty against chalk and fade. This dual-protection approach—the oxide layer plus the fluorocarbon finish—is especially valuable in Mount Mary's 822 mm of annual rainfall and variable humidity. Steel roofs, by contrast, require constant maintenance to prevent rust-through, making them unsuitable for long-term ownership in wet climates.
Does a metal roof stay put in Wisconsin wind and ice storms?
Yes—the four-way interlocking aluminum panels resist wind up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification, well beyond Mount Mary's typical gusts of about 96 km/h and average daily winds around 22 km/h. The interlocking geometry means wind doesn't get underneath panels; each piece locks to its neighbors on all four sides, distributing pressure across the entire roof rather than lifting individual shingles. That mechanical strength is why Interlock's warranty covers wind resistance at 120 mph—you're not relying on adhesives or fasteners alone. During ice storms, the smooth aluminum surface sheds ice without the buckling and warping that loosens asphalt shingles, so your roof maintains its seal season after season. Over a 50-year lifespan, this means decades without wind-related leaks or repairs.
Can a metal roof handle hail, and will my insurance notice?
Interlock aluminum roofs carry a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian Warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. That extreme durability often leads homeowners to explore insurance discounts, since insurers view metal roofs as lower-risk investments. Your homeowner's policy underwriter can confirm what credits apply in your area; Class 4 impact ratings are recognized industry-wide as evidence of superior hail resistance. Given Mount Mary's storm climate, that documentation can matter when renewal time arrives. Unlike asphalt shingles, which dent and bruise visibly and lose their protective granules in hail events, aluminum panels show minimal cosmetic damage and retain full structural integrity after impacts.
How much upkeep does an aluminum metal roof really need?
Aluminum roofs require almost no maintenance—no annual inspections for rot, no granule replacement, no moss treatment. Asphalt shingles lose their protective granules over time, especially in Mount Mary's 3128 annual sunshine hours and 822 mm of rain; wood shakes split and cup within years. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish on Interlock panels is CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance and maintains its color and reflectivity for decades. Occasional leaf debris clearing from valleys is standard for any roof, but aluminum panels won't cup, crack, curl, or require sealing. The Guardian Warranty covers cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance at no cost to the original owner. A metal roof is the last roof you buy, in part because you won't spend weekends repairing it.
What warranty comes with an Interlock metal roof, and how long will it really last?
The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited non-prorated material warranty for you as the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance—essentially every failure mode that ends asphalt and wood roofs. It's transferable once to the next owner, who receives 50 years of coverage from the completion date, adding genuine value when you sell. That's because aluminum doesn't degrade like asphalt (which hardens and fails in 15–20 years) or wood (which splits and rots in 20–30 years). Interlock has manufactured roofing-grade aluminum panels since 1998 in Delta, BC, and installed them from coastal salt-air homes to an Antarctic research station—real-world proof that the material lasts. In Mount Mary's 79 annual freeze-thaw cycles, that durability translates to decades without the tear-off and replacement costs that cycle most homeowners through three roofs in a lifetime.
Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt over 30 or 40 years?
Over the roof's life, aluminum roofs cost less because you buy once instead of replacing asphalt every 15–20 years. Mount Mary homeowners typically need three asphalt roofs in 50 years—three tear-offs, three sets of labor, three disposal fees. A metal roof avoids that cycle entirely. The Guardian Warranty is lifetime non-prorated for you and transfers 50 years to the next owner, so resale value increases measurably. Asphalt also costs more to maintain: annual inspections, granule patching, algae treatment, ventilation repairs. Aluminum requires none of that. When you factor in lower insurance premiums (Class 4 hail rating, fire resistance), energy savings from energy-efficient colors reflecting heat rather than absorbing it, and zero structural reinforcement needed (because 0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft panels install over existing roofs), the math favors metal. It's the last roof investment, not the cheapest first one.
Does an aluminum metal roof really save on cooling costs in Wisconsin?
energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect solar heat rather than absorbing it, reducing cooling load on hot days when Mount Mary sees 3128 sunshine hours annually. The Aged Copper Penny finish, for example, achieves initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84 (Cool Roof Rating Council rated)—meaning it bounces heat away instead of trapping it like dark asphalt. On a 40°C summer day, that reflectivity measurably lowers attic temperature and reduces air-conditioning runtime. Wisconsin winters also benefit: the same reflective surface helps you see winter sun penetrating south-facing windows for passive solar gain. Over a 50-year lifespan, the cumulative energy savings justify the roofing choice, especially paired with the zero maintenance that keeps the reflective coating's performance constant. Unlike asphalt, which oxidizes and darkens over time, losing its reflectivity, metal coatings stay stable for 30 years (per the Alunar warranty against chalking and fading).
