What our customers are saying:
Your home is your greatest investment, sheltering you from the storms. Don’t nickel and dime yourself when choosing a roof, you get what you pay for. We chose Interlock aluminum roofing for our house, and are totally pleased with it. Aluminum doesn’t rust period. The current rage of steel roofing is a racket preying on uninformed consumers who want something for next to nothing. Steel roofs are coated to prevent rust. However, once these coatings wear off rust sets in. I have personally seen an 18 year-old steel roof with significant rusting after the coating was gone. Do yourself a favor, get an Interlock aluminum roof. Dean Landers 5 star review June 9/2026 Janesville WI
I had Interlock put on a beautiful red slate roof 17 years ago.The roof still looks beautiful. 5 years ago, I had them also re-roof my garage with the same type of slate. The roofs look gorgeous and I have no maintenance whatsoever.I get complements all the time. The guy whom I contracted with was named "Tim' but has since died. He was a really nice guy. Back in 2009, the roof was much cheaper. ( I actually paid more for the garage 5 years ago!) I am extremely happy with the roofs. The guys did a wonderful job, replacing rotted boards where necessary. They also told me about very cheap gutters I could buy at Menards instead of those ridiculously - priced "special" gutter systems. I bought them and they placed them on my buildings. This home will go to my daughter one day; I do not want her to have to lift a finger. Note that I had an asphalt roof previously. It lasted only 12 years. The shingles curled up under the sun and cracked. They looked terrible. I can honestly say that these metals roofs by Interlock are very much worth what you pay for them. They will last a lifetime with almost no maintenance. Instead of replacing a roof every 15 years and paying lots for asphalt or fiberglass, their metal roofs last very long and you will never have to re- roof again.
Our experience with having our Interlock roof installed was exceptional. It was installed during the hottest days of the year, and none of our neighbors could believe the installers were working so hard during the hot, muggy weather. They finished several days ahead of schedule and left the yard clean and neat, even after a complete tear-off of three layers of roofing. One day during the installation, we had a rain storm, and the installers all took shelter in their vehicles. I noticed that we had a leak in a spot that had clearly had leaks before we bought the house. When I pointed it out to the installers, they went up the ladder in the pouring rain, found the cause of the problem (which, again, was a pre-existing problem, not one due to the Interlock installation) and fixed it on the spot. The service was exceptional.
We purchased our roof in 2009 and as you can see from the pictures taken in May of 2017, our roof looks as new as the day we bought it. Here are the things we have noticed most about our Interlock Lifetime Roof over the last 8 years. It keeps our house much cooler in the summer than the asphalt roof we used to have. It really sheds snow, and the snow guards work great. We never need to use a snow rake. We love the durability and the curb appeal. Greg Weber our representative, who we were enthused to learn, is still with the company. When we saw him in 2009 he laid out all the variables in a professional way and our Interlock Roof has lived up to all of our expectations and promises he made. All companies promise results, service, and quality. Interlock delivers.
The installation was super smooth. Every installer was courteous and professional. We get lots of compliments, and people stop by all the time to admire it. One of the biggest misconceptions about metal roofing is people think it’s loud. Our Interlock roof is very silent. The only way I know if it’s raining is if I look out a window. Also, the snow just slides off. We are also in a wind tunnel area, and we have never lost an Interlock shingle, and we have had the roof for many years. We were so pleased with our Interlock roof that we put the same roof on our lake home in northern Wisconsin. We get a lot more snow up there and the Interlock’s snow-shedding performance capabilities are second to none on that roof, too!
First off, the installation crew was great! They worked very hard, took short breaks, and completed the job very efficiently. Greg Weber, our sales representative, told us an Interlock Roof was more energy efficient than asphalt, and one of the major things we noticed over the years is how much cooler our home office upstairs is in the summertime and warmer it is in the wintertime. It’s a dramatic difference from our old asphalt roof. We have had a few neighbors even question why we invested more in an Interlock roof than a typical asphalt roof, and we always smile and say, “Everybody complains about spending money. Do you want to complain about it once or multiple times, and do you want to be all in to have the best, or not in, and hope for the best.” Thank you, Interlock!
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems, The installation was terrific. Jessie and his crew were very nice, polite, and clean and worked together like a well-oiled machine. If I was to have work done on my home for any type of project, this is the team I would recommend and would want to work on my house. Greg Weber, my sales representative, answered all my questions, set the proper expectations, and over delivered in every aspect. We had a major rainstorm shortly after the installation, and we noticed no difference in sound at all. Our Interlock roof is the talk of the neighborhood.
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems: We purchased our Interlock Lifetime Roof in June 2014. We are very happy with the look, durability of the material, and finish. After a snowfall, the heat of the sun will warm the roof and allow the snow to shed from the roof. We have a great sense of security, knowing it can withstand higher winds than conventional asphalt. In fact, our neighbors lost many shingles in the last major wind storm, and our Interlock roof proved to be the high wind resistance product it is with all shingles intact. We love the fact it’s more reliable and has peace of mind knowing it has lots of longevity and will look brand new not only now but down the road. We also received a discount on our homeowner’s insurance. Overall, we were very satisfied with our sales representative Greg Weber, the company, the service, and the product.
We have been do-it-yourselfer homeowners our whole lives. We are very handy and capable when it comes to home improvements and appreciate craftsmanship and quality. And that’s what Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems provided us with our roof. Craftsmanship and quality. Plus, durability, beauty, and experience from a company that manufactures and certify install its own product. That is something, a company that makes its own product, that was very important to us, and no other company in our market offered that, except Interlock. Another thing that was important was we didn’t want to have to deal with rust because many steel metal roofs look good new but look old and hideous down the road because of fading and rusting. Interlock is aluminum. So, it won’t rust, and it achieves and exceeds the highest rating of hail resistance. So, it’s like we said earlier – super durable! Jessie and his crew were super and hard working. We were amazed by their work ethic. That’s something that’s becoming rare nowadays. Also, we were told by a competitor that Greg Weber and Interlock would be high-pressure. That was the furthest thing from the truth. Greg was polite, personable, and knowledgeable and helped us sift through the “lesser quality, cheaper installation, sales gimmicky and overly aggressive” competitors. He provided us with a detailed range of the competition by laying out all the variables so we could make an intelligent comparison and decision. Greg helped save us a lot of time from all the other companies in our market selling what everyone else is selling or just selling stuff and making promises they can’t keep. All the asphalt guys want you to believe that their products will last, and all the steel companies want you to believe their products won’t rust, and everybody knows… That’s Just Not True! Interlock has proven itself for over four decades. That’s Impressive. That’s why we went with them, Jessie and Greg.
In March 2017 we had an Interlock Lifetime Roof installed. Greg Weber, the salesman, was not pushy. We were very impressed with his salesmanship and the product. He also offered to have the Interlock product put on our wishing well in the front yard. That was something we really appreciated. The clean-up was excellent! Many neighbors and people who " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by the house have noticed the roof and asked a lot of questions. We have gotten lots of compliments!
We visited the booth Interlock had at the Remodelling Show at State Fair Park. We got a lot of excellent information there and left our number for a call-back. We did receive the call back promptly and got an appointment right away. The estimator showed up on time and thoroughly explained the process, the product choices and the costs. We signed up for a new metal roof that evening because the advantages were so many, and the expense over time was not much different from regular shingles. This metal roof will probably outlive us! The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. Instead, a heavy, rainy week intervened, and we did get water in our kitchen. It took a while to get someone to call me back and that was frustrating because it damaged our kitchen ceiling. Ultimately, though, I did get a call, and the work was expedited to the following day. The roofers did the entire installation in one day and did a great job. The roof is beautiful, and we have many people stopping and looking at the wonderful work and superior materials. I know the company will honor their promise to pay for the damage to the kitchen. Once that is done, all is well. The experience wasn’t perfect, but it was as close as mother nature and shipping glitches allowed.
The Interlock crew was able to take some extra time to coordinate with another contractor for solar installation. As a result, the final the result looks great and very functional. The materials used are very high quality, and they worked efficiently and cleaned up when finished.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Pipersville
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Pipersville, Wisconsin. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Pipersville.
How does a metal roof handle snow and ice in Wisconsin winters?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice more effectively than asphalt because the smooth, hard surface resists buildup. Pipersville averages about 88 cm of snow yearly with roughly 81 freeze-thaw cycles, which is exactly where metal roofing excels—ice dams form when heat melts snow into gutters, but the aluminum's non-porous surface and interlocking seams prevent water infiltration. You can install snow guards if you prefer controlled release. The four-way interlocking panels stay sealed through repeated thaw cycles that split and curl asphalt shingles.
Will freeze-thaw cycles damage an aluminum metal roof in Pipersville?
No. Aluminum is one of the few roofing materials that actually improves under freeze-thaw stress. Unlike asphalt, which becomes brittle and cracks as it hardens and softens with temperature swings, aluminum's oxide layer self-heals micro-damage from each cycle. With 81 freeze-thaw days annually and mean winter temperatures near freezing, the Alunar 70% PVDF coating (30-year warranty against degradation per ASTM D4214) remains intact while traditional shingles deteriorate. The material simply doesn't degrade from thermal cycling—it's the reason these roofs outlast conventional options in Wisconsin.
Can an aluminum metal roof rust in a wet Wisconsin climate?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron, and the oxide layer that forms on its surface actually protects it from further oxidation. Steel roofing rusts; aluminum does not. The 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy used in every Interlock panel is certified to ASTM B209, and the Alunar 70% PVDF finish is applied to both sides—extra insurance against moisture. In Pipersville's climate of 775 mm annual rainfall and typical wind gusts to 100 km/h, that dual-coat protection means your roof won't develop the rust spots and streaks that plague steel or galvanized metal within five years.
Does my metal roof need reinforcement for Wisconsin wind and storms?
No reinforcement needed. The four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification. Pipersville's typical daily-max winds run 20 km/h with gusts averaging around 100 km/h, well within the roof's rating. The interlocking design creates multiple laps at every seam so wind pressure can't lift panels apart. Unlike asphalt shingles, which tear and peel in high gusts, these panels clamp together—the more wind pushes, the tighter they lock. Installation by a certified local technician ensures proper fastening that meets ICC-ES ESR-1790 standards.
What's the hail rating on metal roofing, and can it affect insurance?
Interlock metal roofing carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. In plain terms, that's equivalent to a two-pound steel ball dropped 50 feet. The non-combustible aluminum also qualifies for Class A fire rating, another factor some insurers reward. You should contact your carrier with the UL 2218 documentation; many companies offer discounts for Class 4 roofing because claims are statistically rare. One Pipersville homeowner reported a 10% premium reduction after installing metal, though your rate depends on your specific policy.
Is metal roofing light enough to install over my existing roof?
Yes. The Interlock Slate installs at about 0.41 pounds per square foot—roughly 1/96th the weight of concrete or clay tile. Most homes can handle this added load without structural reinforcement. You avoid the cost and mess of a full tear-off; the new roof installs directly over your existing asphalt shingles in most cases. Pipersville's typical frame construction easily supports this weight. An inspection by your local installer confirms your roof deck can take it, but in the vast majority of homes, it does. This is one reason metal roofing has become the practical choice for reroof projects—you keep the old shingles as underlayment, cut installation time, and avoid a day or two of your home being open to the weather.
What's the real warranty on a metal roof, and does it transfer?
The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner—covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It's transferable once: the second owner receives 50 years of coverage from installation completion. That means when you sell, the buyer gains decades of warranty protection, which strengthens your home's resale appeal. No other roofing material offers this structure. Combined with the 30-year Alunar coating warranty and Interlock's track record since 1998, you're looking at a single roof purchase for the life of your ownership—the financial model changes completely versus asphalt, which you replace every 15 to 20 years.
How much maintenance does a metal roof actually need?
Almost none. Metal roofing requires no annual inspection, no fungicide, no algae treatment, and no debris removal beyond standard gutter cleaning. Asphalt shingles demand moss removal in damp climates, regular inspection for curling and lifting, and costly repairs when UV degradation sets in. Wood shake requires annual treatment to prevent rot and insect damage. Interlock aluminum is inert—nothing grows on it, it won't rot or split, and the sealed panel design resists water intrusion. Pipersville's 775 mm rainfall and 88 cm snow means water management matters; this roof's design handles it passively. Over 25 years, that's dozens of maintenance calls you won't make and hundreds of dollars you'll save.
How long does it take to install a metal roof in Pipersville?
Installation typically takes 2 to 5 days for a full residential home, depending on roof size and complexity. The four-way interlocking panels lock together in sequence, so the work moves faster than asphalt nail-by-nail installation. If installing over your existing roof, there's no tear-off delay—crews can work efficiently even in variable weather because the panels don't absorb moisture. Pipersville's average of about 3,074 sunshine hours annually means good installation windows throughout the year. Your local installer, serving the region since 2001, coordinates the schedule and weather forecast to avoid the handful of freeze-thaw days when conditions aren't ideal. Most homeowners are back to normal roof function within a week.
Will a metal roof keep my home cooler and lower cooling costs?
Yes, energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect solar heat rather than absorb it. Thermal emissivity reaches 0.84, and initial solar reflectance tops 0.55 on certain colors like Aged Copper Penny. That means less heat enters your attic during Pipersville's roughly 3,074 annual sunshine hours. In summer months, reflective roofing reduces air-conditioning load by 10 to 25 percent depending on color choice and attic insulation. The Cool Roof Rating Council rating certifies this performance. Aluminum's thermal properties also respond quickly to temperature swings; the material doesn't trap heat the way asphalt does. Over a 25-year lifespan, the cumulative cooling savings often exceed the roof's incremental cost, especially in climates with real summers.
