After my last experience with Interlock I would not recommend the company to anyone. See "Additional Comments" This is the second "Interlock Roof" that we have had installed in the last 2 years due to Hail Damage. The first install went extremely well. The two fellows that installed it were professional and courteous. Except for the "construction" noise - which did not seem to be too bad - we didn't even know they were there. We were very happy with the roof.I am very disappointed in the second install. Firstly - we had Siding, Eaves Troughs and Fascia replaced prior to the roof install. We were told by Interlock that this should be done first as it would avoid anyone being on the roof after it was completed. The Eaves Troughs and Fascia were completed two weeks before your crew showed up and it looked perfect. After the roof install the Fascia had been damaged in several places. At all of the peaks it had looked like the fascia had been bent back and then put back in place - it look terrible. The fascia on the garage was all scratched up and the eaves trough on the garage was bent.The crew that came was not professional at all. They had a radio blaring on the roof and then on top of that the guys were yelling and singing at the tops of their voices as well as liberal use of the "F" Word - totally inappropriate for a residential setting. We brought by Father, who lived with me, home from the hospital on Friday, March 27. He was very ill and needed his rest. I asked the guys to turn the radio off and they did - the normal construction noise was not an issue. Over the course of 4 days I had to go out and ask them to turn it off 5 times - not sure what part of "My Father is very ill and needs rest" that they didn't understand. A radio blaring on the roof reverberates through the entire house. I emailed Interlock a letter on April 1, 2015 stating the above. I received a call from Rodney - Installation Manager?? - he should not be allowed to speak to customers. I said I would get a quote to have the Eaves Trough and Fascia replaced which I did. He said they would then reinspect the roof to ensure that none of the tiles were damaged by the Eaves Trough guys. I said I would not be paying until all the work was complete and they had inspected the roof. The work was completed on the Eaves Trough and Fascia on Friday May 15th. Rodney called on the morning of Tuesday May 19th looking for payment and threatening to Lien my Property (Monday was the Holiday) as he said the work had been completed over 30 days - I was not satisfied that the work was complete until all the damage had been repaired and that the roof had been inspected by Interlock - which happened on May 19th - after Rodney's call to me. If Rodney is dealing with Customer Service issues you have a big problem. After seeing the damage that the installation crew did to the Eaves/Fascia and thought that was OK, I have serious doubts about the quality of the work that they did on the roof. I am still picking up bits of metal from my yard. At no point has there been any apology from Interlock for any of this and frankly that would have gone a long way.

We were contacted by Colin James about checking out any hail damage. He came and recommended we put in an insurance claim to have the roof replaced. The insurance agreed to covering the roof and gave us the info. within a few days we received a call from Colin to see if we were going to go with interlock for replacement. I said we had to think about it as we really didn't have a chance to discuss what our options were. Colin offered us an upgrade if we went with interlock but he needed to asap as it was his year end. We felt pressured to make a hasty decision. The part I was most annoyed with was the call from Colin came at 10:45 p.m. and I was sound asleep as I had to go to work the next morning. He wanted an answer then and an email to confirm our decision. I had to get up and do that at 11:00 at night. A bit inconsiderate on his part about the time of day and the fact that we really hadn't had a chance to do any research about our other options.

We read an ad in our local newspaper and it talked about the last roof we would ever put on our house guaranteed for 50 years. There was a phone number to call and we really needed to get a new roof as ours was 15 years old and there was no gravel left on the shingles. We called Interlock Roofing, we arranged a date to meet and discuss the application of his product. Within a few days Brad was here and we had a very pleasant and informative meeting with him. By the end of our meeting, we had decided this was the way we wanted to go. Brad said within about thirty days the material and installers would arrive and install the roof. The material arrived within about 15 days and about a month later our installer was on the roof. Jamie a very nice and polite man arrived and introduced himself, he explained what and how he would do the work. We talked daily with Jamie and he would update us on how it was going. They didn’t have to strip the old roof they put the new roof right on top of the old one, saving waste going into the landfill and it didn’t matter if it rained during the installation. It took Jamie about a week, he got rained out one and a half days. When he left at the end of the install there was no sign of him working here other then a new roof. Since the new roof has been installed we have noticed no damage and we have had three " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">hail storms that damaged vehicles and siding on houses. I was amazed how the hail just bounced off the roof, and no piles of gravel at the bottom of our downspouts, and no shingles lifting off. The house temperature is more consistent it doesn’t get really warm or really cool it stays where we set it and is more comfortable then before. If you are thinking of replacing your roof you should consider investing in your house and protecting it with an interlock roofing system. I feel good knowing I will never replace our roof again , the material stands up to anything the Alberta weather dishes out and there is peace of mind knowing what you see is what you get today , tomorrow and in the future. The warranty is transferable and the roofing system will ad value to our house if we every were to sell, which I don’t think we will do as we live on an acreage and have the million dollar Mountain View. Brad has come back out to our home twice since the installation, just to make sure we are happy with the new roof. It’s nice to know that he cares even after the bill has been paid. Thanks to Jamie and Brad we have nothing to worry about, that a nice feeling when it comes to our home.
