What our customers are saying:
Everybody was great to work with highly professional. Any underlying damage was all taken care of and we love the roof.
> We had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan Brown at the Mohegan Sun Home Show and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell him how happy we are with our Interlock roof of ~20 years. We constantly receive compliments from people passing by on how beautiful it looks. Most of all, we appreciate the peace of mind it gives us—knowing we’ll never have to replace our roof, thanks to the lifetime warranty and guaranteed protection against leaks.
Jonathan was great help getting us all the information needed for the roof and what to expect, and the whole process. The installation was fast, the roofers were hard working and professional. The look of the metal roof is superb!
It was a pleasure working with Interlock from beginning to end. The back office was good about setting expectations for job start and duration, delivery of materials (which happened on time) and work to be performed. They were also good about making adjustments to work with trim that needed to be replaced, etc. The crew that did the install and cleanup was very professional and hard working. I am extremely satisfied with the end result and would definitely recommend Interlock! This is actually my second roof, I had one installed on a different property 20 years ago and it has held the test of time with virtually no maintenance.
What a beautiful roof. We are so happy and now we have a forever roof. Thank you. Techs were great. Positive: Punctuality, Quality Services: Roof installation
Salesman was very courteous and polite. Straight forward no hype or fluff. Company kept constant contact, took care of the required building permits. Had the dumpster and materials delivered on time and removed quickly. The crew was phenomenal, polite courteous. Explained everything, and was very conscientious about their work. If the the nail didn't go in the way he liked he pulled it and did it right. Nailing was all done by hand. Roof has been great since no issues and still looks great. Over all very pleased and well worth the money.
Couldn’t have chosen a better product, it’s been 2 years since installation and have absolutely no issues. The house is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Speaking of winter it’s only a matter of hours after a snow storm that all the snow slides right off, no more ice dams and ice filled gutters. The installers were awesome had the entire roof done in a day and a half and cleaned up prior to leaving. We love our Interlock roof.
This letter has been a long time in coming. My husband and I had an Interlock Roof installed in November 2009 and have been meaning to tell you how pleased we are with the look of the new roof and the service provided by the installers ~ Nazaar and Vitality. We’ve gotten many questions and compliments from friends, neighbors and passersby. Both our home and detached garage needed to be re-roofed, with both requiring removal of the old roofing material and the installation of plywood before applying the Interlock product. We were originally told that it would take up to 2 weeks for the job to be completed. To our amazement, the job was completed within a week’s time and that included inclement weather! Nazaar and Vitaliy put in very long days, were very polite, honored their commitments and ALWAYS cleaned everything up before they left for the day. We have children and a dog and found not one nail in the yard after the job was completed. Based on this experience and a product that speaks for itself, we would definitely recommend an Interlock Roof!
I wish to thank " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">Interlock Industries, Inc. for a great roofing system. I'm 100% satisfied and it has a clean and beautiful look. It's great! It's wonderful to know the roof never need replacement again. I also wish to thank Bob Allen, Jerry and Paul McAllister for being so helpful in completing the work. I know this " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">roof system was right when we met Bob Allen the first time, he explained everything in detail. Everything he said was correct. The men who did the work were polite and respectiful, and were clean and neat in the work process. Thank you guys. I would recommend an Interlock Roof for every home, or any building and the long term ">cost is less than another roof system.
Sorry I didn’t get this to you sooner, but I just wanted to drop you a line on the excellent installation of my roof by Nazar and Sergei. They installed our roof in February and never let the harsh weather affect their attention to detail and their determination to do quality work. I was very fortunate to get these two Ukrainian gentlemen as my installers.
I am writing to tell you how much my wife and I are satisfied with our new roof from Interlock Roofing. Our old asphalt shingles were showing the effects of time both aesthetically and functionally. Most noticeably was the water mark on the living room ceiling that just kept growing with each passing rain. We certainly weren't looking forward to buying a new roof, since we were still paying for our wedding six months before, but knew we had to do something soon. I mentioned to Dawn that I had heard metal roofs were becoming popular because of how long they last; but she was concerned our home would look like a fast food restaurant, a factory, or even worse a tin roof barn. She made it clear that a modern looking metal roof would ruin the look of our 1860s vintage home. I said I thought I had seen a couple of years ago a house that was done with what I thought the sign said was metal but looked like shingles instead of ridged sheets she pictured. The problem was I couldn't remember the name of the roofer – just that they had an orange sign. A friend of our mentioned there was a Home Show coming up in Worchester and we figured it would be fun to look around and dream about improvements we could make. As we walked the aisles, I saw your familiar orange sign and product display booth. I said to Dawn look at this! This looks really nice – it looks just like " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">slate! Wouldn't that look really great on our house! Two weeks later, you explained what made Interlock Roofing different from other materials and the lifetime " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty helped us feel confident in making what was for us a major purchase decision. Although an Interlock roof might cost more initially, we think it is well worth it knowing we will never have to buy another roof for this home again. Your company and crews are great! A representative called to let us know materials were being delivered and when they arrived they were neatly stored out of the way until the work began. A supervisor called to let us know when the work would begin, and except for two days of rain which delayed their start, the job was completed within the estimated three days. At the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves and when the job was competed they raked up any pieces that may have been missed in the grass. The completed roof looks great and enhances the appearance of our home. We have had many people stop and compliment us on it and at least one had already installed an Interlock roof of their own. Should we ever move from this home in the future, one of the features we will look for is an Interlock roof or plan on upgrading to one in our new home as well.
Just wanted to let you know that we are very satisfied with the aluminum interlocking roof which was installed in July of 2005. It was amazing to us how quickly and efficiently your men worked in removing our old asphalt layers of roof and installing the new one. Needless to say, we were very impressed with their work as well as our new roof! Unfortunately, during installation of the roof, damage was done to the interior ceiling of our dining room. Interlock did respond and the damaged area was repaired in a timely manner. Unfortunately our existing ceilings are plaster and the repaired area was done in wallboard which simply do not match. In order for this to be repaired properly, the entire ceiling has to be repainted with a light texture. Whatever you can do to help rectify the pending repair to the interior ceiling would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to speaking with you in the near future. Once again, thank you for offering us the opportunity to upgrade our home with an outstanding roof.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Goshen
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Goshen, Connecticut. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Goshen.
How does a metal roof handle heavy snow and ice in Connecticut winters?
Interlock metal roofing sheds snow and ice reliably because its smooth, interlocking panels create a continuous, slippery surface—snow doesn't accumulate the way it does on asphalt. Goshen receives about 115 cm of snow annually, and freeze-thaw cycling happens roughly 92 days per year, which is exactly where aluminum's non-rusting properties prove their value. Unlike steel, aluminum's oxide layer never corrodes when exposed to repeated melting and refreezing. Optional snow guards can be installed if you want to manage runoff timing. The panels themselves carry no weight penalty: even the heaviest Tile profile installs at just 0.59 lb/sq ft, so your home's framing handles seasonal snow loads without reinforcement.
Will freeze-thaw cycles damage my metal roof over time?
Freeze-thaw cycles won't damage Interlock aluminum panels because aluminum contains no iron and cannot rust, even after repeated expansion and contraction from Goshen's roughly 92 annual freeze-thaw days. The material's inherent oxide layer self-heals when scratched—a property asphalt and composite shingles simply don't have. Your roof is warranted against cracking, splitting, and curling under the Guardian Warranty, which covers the original owner for life. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish is applied to both sides of each panel and is warranted 30 years against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214), so UV exposure combined with temperature swings poses no durability risk.
Can metal roof panels leak where they overlap in heavy rain?
Interlock's four-way interlocking panels form an overlapping, self-sealing structure that sheds water faster than traditional roofing—critical in a region receiving about 1103 mm of rain annually. The panels lock together on all four sides, directing water downward and outward; the tight seams mean rain that falls vertically has no path into your attic. Installed properly over a solid deck and quality underlayment, the system is rated under ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790 for weather resistance and leak protection. The Guardian Warranty covers leaks for your lifetime as the original owner, giving you complete peace of mind during Goshen's wet seasons.
How well does an Interlock metal roof resist Connecticut wind and ice storms?
Interlock panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification—well above Goshen's typical gust speeds of about 118 km/h (73 mph). The four-way interlocking design means each panel is mechanically locked to its neighbors on all sides, creating a unified system rather than independent shingles that can lift or blow off. This engineering matters during ice storms: because the panels don't curl, crack, or split under stress, ice-loading combined with wind gusts won't create weak points. Installation follows ICC-ES ESR-1790 standards, and the warranty even covers wind damage when the roof is installed to spec.
Does a metal roof reduce hail damage and insurance costs in Connecticut?
Interlock metal roofing carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. That makes it one of the most impact-resistant roofing materials on the market. Many homeowners find their insurance company recognizes this durability; you should contact your insurer to ask about discounts for Class 4-rated roofing. In Goshen's climate, where about 3033 sunshine hours per year mean occasional severe weather, having a roof that resists hail impact gives you real financial protection. Submit your roof's impact rating and ICC-ES evaluation (ESR-1790) to your agent—some carriers reward it.
Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to replacing asphalt shingles every 15–20 years?
Metal roofing costs more initially, but the math becomes clear over 40+ years: you buy asphalt multiple times, paying for tear-off and disposal labor each cycle, while your Interlock roof is the last roof you install. The Guardian Warranty is lifetime limited and non-prorated for the original owner, then transferable for 50 years from completion—meaning resale value is protected. Asphalt shingles fail in Goshen's 92 annual freeze-thaw days and curl under 3033 hours of yearly sun; aluminum never rusts, never splits, and its Alunar 30-year coating warranty covers chalking and fading. Over a 50-year horizon, the total cost of ownership (one installation, no tear-offs) beats asphalt by a significant margin. Current financing: no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation.
How much maintenance does a metal roof require compared to asphalt or wood shake?
Interlock aluminum requires virtually no maintenance beyond annual gutter cleaning—no repairs, no recoating, no wood treatments. Asphalt shingles need inspection after storms, patching of splits and curls (especially in freeze-thaw climates like Goshen's ~92 freeze-thaw days per year), and eventual full replacement. Wood shake shingles demand annual sealing, fungicide treatments, and spot repairs from rot and insect damage that Goshen's 115 cm annual snow and 1103 mm rain accelerate. Aluminum cannot rot, split, or curl; its oxide layer self-heals when scratched. The Guardian Warranty covers cracking, splitting, and curling for life. A metal roof is effectively maintenance-free, freeing your time and budget for other home improvements.
Will I need to reinforce my roof structure for a metal roof, or can it install over my existing shingles?
No structural reinforcement is needed. Interlock panels are extraordinarily light—the Slate installs at 0.41 lb/sq ft, Shake at 0.58, and even the heaviest Mediterranean Tile profile at 0.59 lb/sq ft, which is about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Your existing roof framing was built to support asphalt shingles; metal panels weigh far less, so they install safely over most existing roofs without modification. Installation over your current roof eliminates tear-off labor and waste, saving time and cost. Our local installer, Interlock Metal Roofing (New England) Inc., has been serving the region since 1999 and can assess your specific structure during a site visit.
Why don't aluminum roofs rust, and what does that mean for durability in Connecticut?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. Instead, it forms a microscopically thin, self-healing oxide layer on its surface—the same oxide that protects aluminum aircraft and coastal salt-air buildings. When scratched, this layer reforms automatically without paint or sealant, a property steel roofing lacks entirely. In Goshen's climate of 115 cm snow, 1103 mm rain, and 92 freeze-thaw days per year, this self-protection is invaluable: water, salt, and temperature cycling that corrode steel pass harmlessly over aluminum. Interlock panels use roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209), coated with Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon on both sides, warranted 30 years against fading. You get genuine corrosion immunity, not just a promise to repaint.
Is metal roofing better for the environment than asphalt shingles?
Yes. Aluminum is approximately 95% recyclable at end of life, while asphalt shingles become landfill waste that accumulates for decades. Interlock roofing breaks the tear-off-to-landfill cycle: instead of removing and discarding old asphalt every 15–20 years (standard in freeze-thaw regions like Goshen), you install once and keep the same roof for 40+ years. Fewer replacements mean less mining, manufacturing, and transportation over your lifetime. The Guardian Warranty is lifetime limited for the original owner and transferable for 50 years, so your roof has minimal environmental cost per year of service. Additionally, energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect heat (up to 0.55 initial solar reflectance and 0.84 thermal emissivity), reducing cooling demand during Goshen's roughly 3033 annual sunshine hours—cooling that would otherwise consume energy.
